I love this word and how the Japanese dictionary in Japan defines ikigai as “joy and a sense of well-being from being alive” and “realizing the value of being alive.” This is very uplifting and gives one purpose ,plus the positive vibes it creates within side you I have been to Japan 3 times in the 70,s and 80,s and I must say have seen this in there every day life ,one person in particular was our english speaking tour guide who took great pride and meaningful purpose in her job

Oddly enough, the librarians at my local library don't look like this.

Wonders,kids never stop amazing us ,all her wonderful questions , I can fully understand why they set you back,wondering why she was asking and where it would leed to ,inquisitive minds ,one really has to let their question sink in before asking ,quick response may have been way off base ,Interesting childhood you went thru for the 2nd time :-) Now how would you have answered that question, "What do you look like " if an adult had asked you , A whole different set of questions would enter into ones mind and wondering why they asked it and may if they were setting you up for something ..

I have about half dozen or so favorite people I would love to meet in person and have a long talk with and get to know them better I know things would go no further, but would love to call them a personal friend after that . But i know that is never going to happen ,distance and covid and circumstances ,But i do so enjoy their personalities and life styles and mindsets and how they intereract ,off line conversations ,but each one is so different from each other for me @ literateHiker and @ Wildflower are at the top plus 4 more than are all right up there
