Like many people, I was raised in a hyper-religious household. I followed the motions because following rules was my definition of being well behaved. However, I have always been an atheist. There was an area of my life where I really wanted to fit in and belong somewhere because I didn't want to accept that I just could not believe in something. When I was in school I came across Wicca. I found it weird but interesting enough for me to pull away from Christianity. So for about 7 years I researched and participated in Wicca. However, I found that I still did not believe in anything. At some point, I realized that this was just a part of myself that I had to learn to accept. So I stopped hiding.
