I grew up in a small town, left it for years, then returned. I have one grown daughter, and three ex-husbands. My two surviving exes remain on good terms with me. (I did not kill that first one.) I’m probably way too educated, but I like learning new things. Cognitive science, literature, storytelling—and how all of those things come together—fascinate me. Also fond of politics, books, travel, music, dance, theatre, movies, and just hanging out at home, by myself or with friends. I’m still working and I like my job. Am very good with people, but often enjoy being alone. Many of my friends are folks I met while in college (or before) who have stayed with me for the long haul. I grew up an only girl with five brothers; I’m a girl who can make herself heard, when the occasion warrants.
