I think it's strange to wait until marriage to have sex. There has to be sexual compatibility in a relationship. You don't want to wait until after you're married to find out he's got a micro penis or find out there will be issues with intimacy. Unless you're both so old that it doesn't matter, but if you're both young enough to where you should feel sexual pleasure, (which is important and healthy in a relationship) I personally, would not wait until after marriage to have sex with someone with whom I want a long-term relationship with. Most experts you ask will tell you that sexual compatibility is needed for a healthy and long-term relationship, whether it's marriage or not. Sexual incompatibility in a marriage can lead to divorce.

I'm not good at giving advice on "love" or how to meet folks. Sorry, wish I could help. I gave up on trying to meet anyone for even friends. I don't like drama or anything that infringes with my happiness. I go to restaurants, bowling, book stores, coffee shops, movies, and "out" alone. I'm confident with that. Occasionally, I'll have a stranger sit with me who makes conversation about life, etc. I prefer those types of short encounters.

I would like to think so. My ex-husband and anyone after him will agree. I've always treated those in my life with respect. My ex-husband cheated on me, not because I wasn't a good lover, but because he was deployed over 6 times in less than 4 years. I forgave him, but I chose to divorce him because he crossed the line with whom he cheated on me with. Had it been any random person, I might have forgiven him. My ex-boyfriend, whom I met after my divorce, might tell you I was a good lover. After 2 years of dating, he asked me to come with him to California. He was being stationed there to be a 1st Sgt for the Army. I had just taken a job with the State of Texas, good pay, benefits, and I had just transferred my military time in service into my retirement plan with the State so I could retire early. I had to let my ex-boyfriend whom asked me to marry him on the same day he told me he was asked to get ready to go to California a few months later. I chose my job. Bad timing. Had I known he was going to ask me to marry him prior to me accepting my job, I might have gone with him. We kept in touch, but I decided to cease all communication. I don't do long-distance relationships.

For example: Those "gold digger" youtube prank videos of guys dressing shabby and poor and acting like they are driving a beat up car vs. when he comes back with a suit and tie and the lambo. They're done to test someone's integrity. Then, there's another form of lie that's used to con people out of money. There's also a fib: Telling me my butt doesn't look big in jeans for the sake of not running late to a tailgate party or as to not hurt my feelings.

For a long-term relationship, probably no more than 30 miles... Although, there's nothing a plane ticket can't fix. But I will say, I once fell in love with a man who was over 7K from me. I lived in Germany, he was in Hawaii. He was much much older than I. He thought he was too old for me and that it would never work. For one, I am genuinely attracted to much older men. Always have been attracted to much older men since I was a teenager. (That's probably why i never had a boyfriend during high school.) Anyway, my affair with him lasted for 17 years. It was so beautiful. One day, I will probably write a book about that beautiful experience. Some long-distance relationships can work. Enjoy the moment. Take a chance. Consider it an adventure. Even if things don't work out, at least you lived the moment. And in that moment you were happy.

Extraterrestrial experience. If that had not happened, I would still be a believer. I kept my experience a secret for years until I saw a psychiatrist in Virginia for medication I thought I needed. The psych was a bit shocked by what I had to say that he ended up referring me to a nearby hypnotherapist. It wasn't until she told me and the psych that my nightmares weren't just nightmares, but that the events I was seeing in my dreams really happened. I'll leave it at that.

If you want my honest opinion, I don't think a therapist should ever talk about "god" to their patients. Even if that's what they believe or tell you that's what gives them strength. They're on their death bed. You and I know they wouldn't be there suffering if their god was so great. Personally, I wouldn't encourage terminally ill patients to continue utilising something that isn't real. Take their mind off of that by trying a different tactic. For example, music therapy (non religious) healing/ meditation/ ambient music. Try asking your patients, "If you could give your pain a colour, what colour is it today? What shape would you say it is?" There are so many ways to take your patients minds away from religion or thoughts of "superior beings" without telling them. I believe in an afterlife. Just not the way religious people do.
