I didn't grow up with a family that was religious but rather a deeply rooted Christian belief. We attended church only on Sunday and went to Brainwashing Camp (VBS) from time to time until my twin sister and I were about 7 so we had some early influence by the Pentecostal AND Baptist church. I ended up being a just in case Christian to questioning then to agnostic and finally atheist when I was 28 years old. Since then, I have given up belief in ALL superstitions such as ghosts and karma and pseudoscience such as acupuncture and healing stones. Most of my friends are open atheists although I have a couple of friends and family that are still believers and some very devout! I live in a small town where like minds are hard to come by. I can't believe how fortunate I am.
