How to respond to people who say these are the end of days?
Selah613 comments on Sep 22, 2017:

Is spirituality the same as emotionality?
paul1967 comments on Sep 23, 2017:

SonnyMlaPH replies on Sep 24, 2017:
religious doctrines tend to target people's emotions. When your emotions get the better of you the lights kinda get dim and you can't see clearly - talk about blind faith! ("kill those imbeciles!") That's why judges and the juries treat cases of so-called crimes of passion with utmost care. I always tell my "girl friends" (young girls in facebook) who seek my advice too late because they already got pregnant due to recklessness that "there's no law, human or divine, prohibiting the use of your brain in an intelligent manner. Seek guidance from the Lord if you so believe, but don't let your heart alone decide for you." I find it hard to separate God and spirituality, I need more knowledge on this. I'm not so much of a spiritual guy. I only know that if you are spiritual you have peace in your inner self and if you have it then you'll be at peace with the rest of humanity and all creations including the woods and the stones . . . I'm here to learn about life. What's the purpose of being in this world, now. "A purpose driven life"

For atheists - what makes you believe no deity exists?
atheist comments on Sep 23, 2017:
Atheism is based on thinking not believing. In the absence of evidence where there should be evidence, I can only conclude that god doesn't exist. Why IS there no evidence/proof for god?
SonnyMlaPH replies on Sep 24, 2017:
Thinking and believing, I would say. The worlds religions are "moving heaven and earth" in an effort to keep their flock. Business is slowing down. Collections and contributions are getting smaller because more and more people are realizing the futility of hanging on to their gods. They blame the internet for blowing up the cover on their profitable Big Lie of Ages. No more secrets. No more mysteries. The Truth is out. The Truth hurts. Do you believe in destiny or luck ?
paul1967 comments on Sep 23, 2017:
No, luck is an illusion and Vegas makes billions because they know that.
SonnyMlaPH replies on Sep 24, 2017:
Fyi, casinos make 70% of their profit from the slots, roullette and "roll of dice" game (don't know what they call it there.) Those so-called games of "chance." People tell you to "take a chance" or "take your chances" or in other words take the "risk" and what's the risk? well, only two things can happen, you either win or lose... or in extreme cases like in the movie, The Karate Kid scene in a karate duel, the losing fighter was asked: "live or die, man" Scientists and wise men will not take risks, not even calculated risks. They'll act only in perfectly proven methods - no games of chance for them, no risks. But gamblers are foolhardy always believing that Lady Luck is smiling on them and they play the game of chance. Makes me wonder if Lady Luck, like God is only one but is omnipresent, ha-ha-ha! But what would you call a guy who wins in the slots beating the odds of about 1-in-12 million? There are so-called "scientific gamblers" and they'd only play in card games against the house like Black Jack and Bacharat or Lucky 9. Why? because they can see what cards are and how many of them has gone out and how many remain in the shoe. So they compute the probability (pardon, but I also refer to probability as chance) of their winning card coming oiut of the shoe. Casinos are always on the watch for these dudes - card counters they call them. They don't rely on luck. They have more than 95% probabilty of winning against the casino
