The site never technically went down, its security certificate (which supposedly helps to curb malicious hacking attempts etc) was allowed to expire, which in turn made the site unsafe where bad actors and malicious hackers are concerned. Admin (the site owner) must have made the move to renew the certificate.

Getting the site security certificate renewed is the sole responsibility of the site owner(s), and if you do not own the domain then you wouldn't have the authority to update the security certificate. By the way, that expiring is the least of our worries, as now I'm hearing that the site itself is scheduled to go down sometime by mid December. Nothing we can do about that, sites come and go, and when they go we need to adapt by taking to other platforms in which to start groups on and keep communication. It appears most of the longtime members on here have already vacated the site anyways.

Haha that's good! Yeah, it's been Minds.com for me mostly now, and only on the weekends I may drop in here briefly to see what's going on. By early next month I'm going to start a group on Minds for weapon rights enthusiasts, combining all the good aspects from gun rights to general chat about all sorts of weaponry to sharing informative sites etc. Maybe by 4th of July the group will be up and running. As for this site, have been looking into downloading free SSL certificates in which to upload on here and on IDW, but without the site owner involved that's a long shot though. Now I'm hearing by the end of this year this site is totally going to go down, which will mean game totally over at that point. Will stick around for a little longer here in case others come across this post and want to get an update. Later.

Every time I drop in briefly it sure doesn't look like many are left on this site anymore. Had commented on one of SiteSupport's posts, and if I don't hear back in a day or so it's back to pausing my account for the time being. On a side note... over on Minds that guy who goes by the name IvanOoze is our buddy TheInterlooper, just so you know. Also, sometime next month will be starting a gun rights group on the main Minds site, that would compliment the one over on Minds Chat. Will let you know when that happens, probably in time for Independence Day.

It seems most everybody from this group is gone now that the website has lost their security ...

If the security certificate for the site does expire on June 2nd, I probably won't be nearly as active on this site, and the mobile app will stop working. Depends on what web browser one uses, it would still be possible to access the site by ignoring the security warning, but not all browsers allow that sort of thing though.

Most of what you had mentioned above minus the marriage part (I've never been married) I've gotten past since my early twenties. Before that time, I too was pretty much living in a false reality, having still believed in the mystical man in the sky, and that if I had prayed hard enough to him all of my troubles would find easy solutions and everything would just fall right into place. That of course never happened, but eventually I got past what my ego wanted in favor of embracing reality, and gradually afterwards things started to improve in my life. My early adult life briefly... Got a job after graduating high school, and at that time I was still socially conservative and believed in being a "good" boy in order to please god. The job and the pay that went along with it was largely unsatisfying and stressful, and life was going nowhere. Then a few years later met this older woman whom I had worked with at the time, got involved with her romantically, and soon enough my whole worldview had changed. After that went rather wild socially speaking, stopped believing in god and the paranormal, hit the bottle all too often, went wild with sex and eventually got involved in adult entertainment briefly (which played a part in what I do nowadays on the side) at the suggestion of the woman mentioned above. Then came the tamer stuff, namely the quest for more knowledge, and forming a new identity for myself, one that would last. Not sure if I've found the right identity yet or if it even means that much to me anymore. With some of the stuff I've observed over the years from my fellow human beings, not sure I really want to associate with any groups or factions, as at this point I'm fairly convinced identity politics are a truly divisive force to avoid at all costs. Yes indeed, ego can be a very bad thing, and not everyone out there can learn to get past their ego. Interesting post by the way.
