Both the left and right play the same games, and after awhile I just get tired of it all. Not all the left stances are fact based, but that's another story altogether. Don't confuse conservatives with theocrats, Republicans these days take the stances they do because of the religious extremism that has influenced their party. Don't take my comment on being over emotional too hard, I think we all can get like that at times. Sorry to hear you had trouble as well with false accusations against you. I don't assume anything and just said Ford's given testimony had too many holes in it to take seriously is all. It appears she at one point may have experienced a sexual assault, but fingered the wrong person. Remember Tiger, we have this thing called due process which is very important and everyone is innocent until proven guilty, please keep that in mind if you think I assuming all accusations are false beforehand. If you wanted to talk about another topic, fine with me, and afterall as you had mentioned Kavanaugh has been sworn in, and only time will tell for sure on how well he upholds the Constitution and defends our rights. Other issues that have occured recently concern me as well. Regarding the last part of your comment, as I said before I don't take the mainstream medias that seriously and certainly don't think just because a news source didn't cover a particular topic alot doesn't automatically mean it's not important.

@snytiger6 If the accusations could not be confirmed then they are indeed most likely manufactured testimony, certainly not reliable. No, most likely the others were not interviewed because they could not have contributed enough details that would have moved that case forward. As someone who was once fingered for a crime I did not commit, I understand how it feels to be unjustly accused of a heinous crime and I don't blame him for standing up for himself. On the flip side, alot of the Democrats who asked him questions weren't exactly professional in their approach either and helped nothing. Do you know what it feels like to accused of something terrible in which you are innocent? Kind of seems like a cleverly laid trap by the Democrats so they could find something to nitpick about. I did respond to your question, I said obviously there is not enough evidence on that otherwise if there was I'm positive the mainstream medias would be pushing such. Regarding the last part of your comment, only time will tell on that much for sure, and I suspect you are basing your opinion(s) on raw emotion, because that's what those on the left are known to do. By the way, not all of us conservatives have what you referred to as a "cold heart", and I contend when it comes to society as a whole we are nothing more than animals struggling to survive no matter how civilized and intelligent we like to think we are, if and when an emergency breaks out people think mostly about their own families first and give secondary considerations to everyone else, I believe they call that the selfish gene. Sure, there are exceptions to that, but people mostly think about themselves first, because that's instinct, what we are wired to do whether we want to admit that or not. The left accuses the right of being bullies and hurling accusations around, but claiming conservatives have cold hearts hardly does anything to promote understanding, which in my book makes you as bad. Remember what you said to me before about the left having to exagerate claims in order to keep on par with the right, that says alot right there.

@snytiger6 Obviously not enough merit to investigate further. It's funny how the arguments against Kavanaugh have shifted now, the left realizes the sexual assault accusations were bogus and of no help, so onto other accusations. The FBI didn't interview additional sources (besides the what, 9 or so others they did) because there was no reason to believe they would have been any more help in determining if such a party as Ford described actually took place. For what it's worth, most politicans have got dirt on them somewhere, and Merrick Garland certainly was no good choice as he would not have held up all the Constitutional Amendments.

Were you referring to Admin or the moderator(s) of this particular group, which would be me (the group host), and Trajan61 is one of my group moderators as well? In all the months I've been host of this group, I've not had to censor anyone's comments, but have had to ban some of those who had trolled/harassed fellow group members. I understand there may be times when a member vehemently disagrees with another member and thus tempted to argue, but sometimes it may be best to ignore posts that rile you up, a big reason why I don't bother much anymore with the public threads, too much of the same political bashing done almost on a daily basis. I know you probably have disagreed with some of the posts in this group and maybe even some of mine, but I thank you for not trolling though. I take it you're a Libertarian/third-party?

That's odd, once you reach level 5 your posts are supposed to go live immediately. Someone must have reported it, but I don't know what might have caused Admin to take it down (you could PM and ask).
SpikeTalon replies on Oct 5, 2018:
Based on my observations, I think the perk you mentioned above and the one where you could hide newer member comments that might be vulgar in nature are both just a joke. A few days ago I did a public post and some far-leftist malcontent left a profanity laced comment in which I was given the option to hide and did. I immediately blocked him, but found out later his comment still went through, and that tells me Admin didn't really screen his comment, because if he did that comment should have been removed and yet wasn't.

SpikeTalon replies on Oct 4, 2018:
@snytiger6 Who exactly determines who has the facts? How do you automatically know something to be true just because someone else said so? Facts don't necessarily swing in favor of either political side. Religion has nothing to do with conservatism, religion is theocracy, and radical religion has long infiltrated the Republican party. I suspect most people who are not right-leaning don't even know what it means to be a true conservative these days. I also contend that most people regardless of political affiliation seek out sources that would reinforce their own world views, saying only the conservatives do that is not only erroneous but just plain wrong. I could think of quite a few things that the liberal left has done and continues to do that have negative consequences for the general public. Now, you want to talk about fear tactics? Once again, the left does this too. One example off the top of my head is the fear mongering from the left over healthcare, scaring people that if the ACA is done away with people will die, which is grossly untrue as healthcare is readily available regardless of what happens to the ACA. Look at the fear mongering over North Korea, peace is being established thanks to Trump little by little and yet there is nothing but pessimism coming from the left. No one knows for sure what the future holds, but that situation looks promising, and needless fear mongering helps nothing with that much. Regarding the last part of your comment, perhaps some of those on the right feel no immediate need to jump to conclusions, and I have not witnessed any politician go out of their way to support hate groups. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one though. On the flip side, the progressive left have and continue to put their support behind radical and at times violent groups like ANTIFA, but some are quick to come down on the right for being passive towards some hate groups. ANTIFA is no good for our society, I'm all for peaceful protests but those folks are mentally disturbed. You don't seem to see those on the right protesting like that and vandalizing property like ANTIFA is known for, and the big A is about as left as they come. Please stop trying to act like the left is the innocent victim and the right is the big bad wolf, there are plenty of things wrong with the left. As I see it, if we want any hope of striking a balance in our country the only thing that may bring about genuine and positive change would be to get rid of the two-party monopoly and elect a neutral third party. Both extremes are hurting us, and will only continue doing so. Please note my restraint on some Democrats like Maxine Waters who has publicly asked liberals to ostracize and harass conservatives at restaurants and other businesses, how on ...

@snytiger6 I could say the same of The Intellectualist, they spew propaganda too, but of course you see nothing wrong with them though because their views fit your world view narrative. I picked The Federalist this time to share an article from because said article told the truth, there have been plenty of documented holes in Ford's testimony. I don't mind you picking on a conservative site if you feel you must, I just find that much to be ironic coming from someone who fully trusts a known liberal source, as if the liberal left only tells the absolute truth all the time...

SpikeTalon replies on Oct 2, 2018:
The ironic part in your statement is that you post articles on this site from the Intellectualist which leans heavily to the left. The question is, why is a liberal source of news any better than a conservative one? Have we really arrived to a point where only one side tells the absolute truth while the other lies? If you check both the Federalist and Intellectualist, you'll find both have been rated high on presenting facts- https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-intellectualist/ Most of the mainstream media sources have said the same thing, there are holes in Ford's memory and said memories may not be trustworthy, but those on the left who hate Kavanaugh don't like that as that doesn't fit their narrative. Then Democrats wonder why Republicans get suspicious of their motives, just look at the timing for all of this... the Democrats have a tendency to hurt their own causes and a big part of why they lost the last election. Truth be told, I'm fed up with both sides arguing over such nonsense, the political mudslinging gets old after awhile. I'm convinced both sides allow their emotions to control them and only see things from their point of view. As for me, I go by evidence, and the evidence I've observed so far indicates Ford's memory is not 100% trustworthy, sorry if that doesn't fit your's or anyone else's narrative.
