Nothing wrong with it in the least, and what other people choose to do is strictly their business. If that is how someone wants to make their living, they should be able to without worry of getting tossed in jail. I personally would have no interest in patronizing prostitutes, especially knowing how easy it is these days to hookup via social media and the web, it's easy to find local women for even a one night stand. On the flip side of that, and not to divulge any dark secrets here, but I feel the way I do on prostitution and strippers because I one time was involved in a related situation, except I wasn't the patron...

I keep to myself about my lack of belief due to the fact that pretty much all my family and friends are believers and I run the risk of getting alienated if I reveal such. In addition, a few family members have openly stated they wish all atheists would die and a jihad should be done on them, so violent acts are not beneath them.

No, but a few years back a neighbor of mine had asked if I would be willing to pose in the buff for a charity calendar benefitting breast cancer research. She had dealt with breast cancer twice, and was active in cancer survivor circles and charity, and went around recruiting men who were willing to take it all off to raise some money. Initially I had turned down her offer, but then agreed to go through with it. For reasons unknown, the following year production of the calendars had ceased and never resumed, so I never got the chance.

My religious/gullible mother blames me for my ailments. Advice?

The only solid advice I could give would be to get away from her if possible and forge a happy life for yourself. I know how you feel, I too have a radical catholic mother who cannot think beyond her prejudices and personal desires. When someone is this hopelessly brainwashed, there is very little anyone else could do to help that person. Through the years I've had some heated conversations with my mother over religion, and I do get sick of her barrage of attacks against atheists and skeptics. Do take care.

Never did drugs and never had a negative experience with alcohol. In fact, on at least one occasion I had a very memorable moment that involved alcohol (Champagne)....and with a special lady.

You are not alone on that thought. Our politics are totally corrupt, doesn't matter what side you choose. It seems to me that a majority of folks feel like they have to pick a side or attach labels/names of organizations etc to themselves. When asked what I am or who I associate with, I often respond by saying...that I'm just a human being.
