I don't know about that. My wife died a little over two years ago. I haven't dated anyone since. Not so much because I have anything against dating, but more that I can't find anyone that I want to be with. Not even close. I don't have any family and no kids, so I'm really alone. I keep getting the feeling that there is someone out there somewhere, but that may just be wishful thinking. But I can't shake the feeling. I'm tired of being alone, but It's beginning to look like it may be that way forever. I don't even know any single women. Yes, I have tried dating services, and all they've come up with are women in other states, which to me means that they just can't find a match for me. So at this point I go from being annoyed to downright depressed sometimes. Most of the time I'm just neutral. But it's been about three years since the last time I can remember actually being happy about anything.

I have no legal objections to open carry. I live in a state where it's legal, and it doesn't bother me. However, do I think it's a good idea? Sometimes, but not always. There are some people who openly carry as a statement, and there are other people who openly carry because they're not smart enough to figure out that they're drawing some unwanted negative attention. I think that concealed carry is generally a much better idea. Also, until we get a national carry license, carrying a gun will change legally from one place to another. And open carry definitely changes from a legal point of view from one state to another. Open carry also tends to make one a target for bad guys, either to steal your gun by force, or if they're going to do something nasty, you're the first one they're going to shoot. You could also be deterring them from doing something. So there are two sides to the coin. But I still think that concealed carry is better than open carry in most cases.

This is a very difficult question to answer. On one hand, being a Firearms Instructor for 37 years, I am all in favor of folks learning basic gun safety. But on the other hand, making them do it bothers me. Somehow mandatory safety classes strike me a more gun control, which i am against. But I do think that there should be some education for the general public, because there are a lot of uneducated people who are against firearms ownership simply because they have been fed a bunch of lies by the anti gun folks. And they believe things about gun that simply aren't true. So what's the answer? I think that the people here who have suggested firearms safety classes in high schools would be the best place to start.
