Having decided in my mid twenties that I really didn't care what other people thought, I can't relate to this. Not being Black in a country as racist and backward as the U.S., I can't relate to that for sure. Just live your life man. The few women I have messaged with have that same kind of pattern. Conversations kind of peter out. There was one I talked to on the phone a lot and we just didn't want the same thing. One I talked to whom we seemed to have great chemistry, but age was a problem, so we decided to be friends and then she ghosted me. A third, we had planned to talk on the phone, it didn't happen, she changed her mind about me, wouldn't explain why, got pissy, so I blocked her. It also seems I only connect with women who live at least a thousand miles away. So my opinion of on line dating is not a positive one. :)

As long as they don't remind me of my mother. Don't get me wrong, my mother was my best friend, but that would be a turnoff. Now that I am older, age is more of a consideration than it was at one time. Other than that, either there is chemistry or there isn't. That is the most important thing for me.

The one I dislike the most is, "My friends tell me I am funny, smart, generous, nice"...and on it goes. No one's friends tell them all of that shit. This is how they see themselves or hope other people see them. They never tell you about the friend that says they talk too much or eat like a truck driver. I don't trust most bios including my own. That is the cool thing about this site. You can get some idea of who they are by following their posts and or comments. I don't believe other dating sites work this way.
