Has anyone else noticed a pervasive sense of social and moral collapse in modern society?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 8, 2018:
To say 95% of news is unreliable is a ridiculous statement that you can't back up with facts. Even Fox news is only 63% lies according to the Wall Street Journal. If the others get something wrong they will apologize and change it.
Sticks48 replies on Apr 14, 2018:
@SilverDollarJedi How do you know they are more reliable. There are independent organizations that do monitor and report on news organizations.
How does music effect you...?
MarvelAnn comments on Apr 14, 2018:
I'm in that category. Music is such an important part of my life. The one regret I have is that I never learned to truly play an instrument. I played sax in middle school, but played by ear so eventually I couldn't keep up. I wish I could create music as a form of expression.
Sticks48 replies on Apr 14, 2018:
When playing you can look at the room and tell who is really listening and that is who you really play to. Those people are the ones that pull out that extra something from the band. Without you folks who really love music the experience is less satisfying for the band, especially when doing original music like we do. So a tip of the hat to you.

@jioo087 Obama should be the standard for how Presidents comport themselves. Nixon was intelegent but seemed so socially awkward l believe it affected his confidence. His unlikability made him think people were out to get him. He kind of fulfilled his own prophecy.
When did the practice of men not carrying a purse but a wallet start?
Sarahroo29 comments on Apr 8, 2018:
It's society's view with masculinity and being feminine.
Sticks48 replies on Apr 8, 2018:
@Sarahroo29 You keep harping on gender. In todays world you can pretty much dress anyway you want and no one cares. We don't want to carry that much crap. No one makes you carry a purse becuase you are a woman.

I saw someone on TV talking about the fact there are fewer people with red hair. They said that people with red hair don't date and therefore don't mate. The reasoning was when they did date each other people thought they were siblings. Any thoughts from people with red hair.

@farmboy2017 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I don't think Hallmark has a card for this. :)

It is a common sense issue of not having one more thing to keep up with. Nothing stops you from not carrying one or me from carrying one. It is a choice . :)

Christians often say that they hate the sin not the sinner.

You know how Christians lie. Persecution is one of their favorite pastimes, that and bingo.

@farmboy2017 It wasn't just some random person. They had studied this. It does seem like l see fewer redheads than when l was younger. How often do you see two gingers dating or marrying. I don't believe it is a dominate gene. Their conclusion was that particular gene might be disappearing.

Should there be a legal minimum age for religious indoctrination?
IndySent comments on Apr 8, 2018:
Legal age limit? Absolutely not. That is giving the government WAY too much power to tell you what to believe and how to raise your kids. If you allow that, you open up doors to all sorts of religious fuckery. There’s a reason why we fight for separation of church and state.
