I prefer quiet. 1. As a musician it can be distracting, as that part of my brain will want to go there instead of where it needs to be. 2. I was born ambidextrous. I have read ambi people bounce back and forth from the right brain to the left brain all the time, which explains why I struggled to focus in school and concentrate at other times in my life. Combine the two, and you can see where music during sex could be a problem.

In my early twenties a friend of mine set me up on a blind date with his ex. He was a very good looking guy, a little off of center due to some glue sniffing in his youth, but a nice man. I was pretty sure his ex was at least going to be pretty given how handsome he was. so why not? I went to her house to pick her up. It was a late date as we were going to listen to a band. She opened the door and she was spectacular! She was friendly, had a great smile, and there wasn't the slightest bit of awkwardness between us. She fixed us each a drink, we talked for a little while, and left for the club. At the club, conversation was easy. She would hold my hand or rest her hand on my knee. I wasn't thinking, "ALRIGHT! I'M GETTING LAID"! Even at that age I never took anything for granted when it came to women and sex. After we left the club we decided to go eat. There was a restaurant in South Austin serving late, so there we went. I hadn't made a move on her all night. Not my style. We were eating and talking, when all of a sudden,out of nowhere, she yells, and l do mean yells, '' IF YOU THINK WE ARE GOING TO HAVE SEX TONIGHT, YOU ARE WRONG"! Needless to say, the restaurant went silent. Fortunately, the majority of the people were behind me so I couldn't see them. She tried to pay her part of the check. I wouldn't allow that. I really wanted to remember what a total disaster this was, and to never do this again. That ladies and gentlemen was my first and last blind date.

I love Delbert. The first time I saw Delbert was in the mid seventies in Austin. It was a four piece band. Delbert played piano. It was great! I had never heard anything like him, and still haven't. We did a double bill with him back in the late eighties. It was a lot of fun. Living in Austin off and on over the years, I have seen both of them several times. Great stuff.

Yes, she is a GREAT vocalist. She and Bonnie Raitt are the two most versatile female singers I have ever heard. Both can and have sung pretty much every genre of popular music and done them very, very well. Ray Charles is the only male singer I have heard who did the same.

There has been no time in the history of meters that they have read everyone's meters. The manpower and cost would be prohibitive. They go by your average usage for that particular month. I found this out years ago when we went out on a four or five week tour in the summer. My brother and his wife shut down everything but the refrigerator. When we returned he had a two hundred dollar electric bill. They corrected it and explained how this works. I am not arguing the smart meters, just that all meters have not been read in cities in probably well over 70 years, at least.
