Do you stand for the anthem?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 9, 2018:
No. I don't feel pride for my place of birth. I feel pride for things that people do. I might feel pride for my country if it were to treat all people with respect and equality. We were founded as a racist country and remain so today. We have never treated women with the respect and rights that should be a birthright. When this country stops judging people by their sexual orientation. Get all of that done and l will stand.
This is an important anniversary for me.

Who's been the best President of the United States in your lifetime?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 9, 2018:
Obama....Easy choice. Could have done more had the Republicans worked with him. They were more interested in making him look bad than working for the people. Had he been white it would have been a different story. If not for Vietnam Johnson would be number one for his work on civil rights.
What is the one creature, snake, spider, rodent, bat, etc, that creeps you out the most?

What are your dealbreakers?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 8, 2018:
The needy, the overly sincere, drama queens, the self-absorbed, the not very bright, and those without humor. One that l never figured out how to handle is telling someone who wears a perfume that you don't like, that you don't like it. A couple of times in my life l have met a woman l really liked but l couldn't tell them how much l disliked the scent they were wearing, so l didn't pursue the realationship. That is why l use all unscented products.
How is it that religion is such an incredibly divisive concept?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 8, 2018:

Has social media turned us into attention seekers?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 8, 2018:
I don't think people are any different in wanting attention. I believe between social media and so-called reality television there is more opportunity for getting attention.

Has anyone else noticed a pervasive sense of social and moral collapse in modern society?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 8, 2018:

Generation Z - what do you think of them?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
I think you are right. The millenials and the Z generation seem to have a healthy distrust of the government and big business, not hate, but a mistrust. I am hopeful they will take a leap forward on social issues. We boomers did so in the late 60's and into the 70's, but when we got older we dropped the ball. We can only hope they don't.
A question of perception
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:

Will robots make them believe more or less?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:

We are now more than ever in a censored society, is that a good thing or bad?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
I don't see that at all. With the advent of social media more people have a voice than in anytime in history. There may be too much information and too many ideas to wade through, but it is all out there.

Is social anxiety a problem for anyone else?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
I can talk to pretty much anybody anywhere, so l can't really relate. I'm not sure who has the advantage. Is it a matter of confidence? Is it something you have always had to deal with? Have you tried therapy? Being the opposite of someone with social anxiety l am curious as to why it is so difficult to talk to people since l can't shut up sometimes, like now. :)
What do you like to do that brings the most happiness and joy to your life?

Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
We are as barbaric as ever. Look at the body count of the 20th century. I believe the death toll from wars and genocide in the last century exceed all the deaths for those two reasons in all the rest of history, and it ain't getting any better. We are just more efficient. No, l don't watch MMA or boxing. The older l have gotten the more violence is a turn off.

Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
That has always been a stupid statement. The ruthless probably get what they want more than the person who works hard. Follow your passion. That is what l did. I would have probably made more money in advertising, but l don't believe that l would have enjoyed my life nearly as much as l have.
