Generation Z - what do you think of them?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
I think you are right. The millenials and the Z generation seem to have a healthy distrust of the government and big business, not hate, but a mistrust. I am hopeful they will take a leap forward on social issues. We boomers did so in the late 60's and into the 70's, but when we got older we dropped the ball. We can only hope they don't.
A question of perception
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
It is a threat because it tickles that little doubt that most of them have. Blind faith is not an easy concept to accept, so l believe, except for the really ignorant, that most of them have some doubt about the whole thing.
Will robots make them believe more or less?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
Technology does not affect their beliefs or it would have done so by now. Big social changes generally happen after a generation or two die.

We are now more than ever in a censored society, is that a good thing or bad?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
I don't see that at all. With the advent of social media more people have a voice than in anytime in history. There may be too much information and too many ideas to wade through, but it is all out there.
What wrong assumptions do people frequently make of you?

Is social anxiety a problem for anyone else?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
I can talk to pretty much anybody anywhere, so l can't really relate. I'm not sure who has the advantage. Is it a matter of confidence? Is it something you have always had to deal with? Have you tried therapy? Being the opposite of someone with social anxiety l am curious as to why it is so difficult to talk to people since l can't shut up sometimes, like now. :)
What do you like to do that brings the most happiness and joy to your life?

I'm really interested in the Roman Empire.
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
We are as barbaric as ever. Look at the body count of the 20th century. I believe the death toll from wars and genocide in the last century exceed all the deaths for those two reasons in all the rest of history, and it ain't getting any better. We are just more efficient. No, l don't watch MMA or boxing. The older l have gotten the more violence is a turn off.

Do you think anything can be accomplished by hard work?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
That has always been a stupid statement. The ruthless probably get what they want more than the person who works hard. Follow your passion. That is what l did. I would have probably made more money in advertising, but l don't believe that l would have enjoyed my life nearly as much as l have.
So here a loaded question, how does the group feel about pornography?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
If our young people are warped, and l need you to clarify what you mean by warped, it is becuase 'grownup' Americans are so completely backwards when it comes to discussing sex with each other or their children. Pornography ain't the problem.

How serious a change have you undergone since the 2016 election cycle?
Sticks48 comments on Apr 7, 2018:
All news is not propaganda. If you really believe that you had better give up. The only thing standing between us and tyranny is a free press. Fox is the only news outlet that is mostly propaganda, and most Americans realize this. To think a third party can win a Presidential election is wishful thinking. It has nothing to do with elections being rigged. Most people feel like they would be helping put someone in office they know they don't want if they vote third party. Most people are sheep. They vote with the group they identify with the most, or against the group they dislike the most.
