What I've noticed, men and women are socialized to view friendships differently. Women see them more as emotional connections; men see them more as buddies to hang out with. There are exceptions, and hopefully that's changing so that both can appreciate broader varieties of friendship.

A real friend is someone you can call a two o'clock in the morning in the middle of winter because your car broke down and they will come help you. How many of those do you have or any of us for that matter. I have one female friend and three male friends I can count on no matter what. I have a lot of folks I am friendly with. Women are more social and tend to have more of the later. Those are not "friends". I guess it depends on ones definition of the word friend. IMO

I would like to see a national healthcare system. I would like to see state universities more affordable, if not free. I would like to see all drugs decriminalised. I would like to see all guns except hunting rifles and shotguns be illegal, with a minimum of five years in prison with no parole, if you are caught with one. I would like to see term limits for Congress and all federal judges including SCOTUS. I would like to see more done to get off of fossil fuels. I may have left out something, but it's three o'clock in the morning and I just got in from a gig a little while ago.

We have all seen really good looking men and women who after you get to know them are not so attractive. A whole lot have left the parties because of what they perceive as the extreme wings of each party. @JimG If McConnell is gone I believe there is hope. I believe there are many Republican Senators who would like to get things done. Come on Kentucky. Do it one more time. I like all of the Dems. If Biden wins I will have no problem with him as the President. If you can't a big chunk of the middle in this country, you can't win the Presidency. That is fact. Two million more voters in California will not change the outcome. It is all about the electoral college, and right now Biden is the only one on a national level who beats trump handily. I will not be surprised if the Dems blow this again.

@Tinocca He had a number of hits on the country charts during country's real peak in the 70s and 80s. If I was going to pick a real religious song it would be Amazing Grace only because we used to do a kick ass version of it in the 70s. We were nonbelievers , but it was a fun song to play and the country/country rock audiences we played to really liked it. We just kind of pulled it out of our ass one night after touring with Willie and hearing it every night, and we liked the way it came out. It kind of built all through the song until be the end of the song it was big.
