@sandrarocks83 You might think about it. Austin is a very open and friendly city. It is Texas so there wouldn't be a great cultural shock like moving to the Southeastern part of the country or to New England. The traffic sucks, but there are tradeoffs to everything. Just a thought. I used to play in Dallas a lot at one time' but never really liked the city that much. I actually had a better time in Ft Worth even though it is more conservative than Dallas, but do they party there. Good luck. :)

@sandrarocks83 I know moving is not easy. I have moved a lot and sometimes forget that. Austin is a much different place than Dallas. I have lived in and around Austin at different times since the 70's and it is not a churchy city. The average age in Austin is 32 years old and it is a very social city. You will definitely find many more like minded people in Austin. It might be worth checking into if there is nothing holding you in Dallas. Moving can be scary, but it can be very exciting too.

No matter where I have lived I have always had one maybe two male friends I have no problem talking to about anything and they have no problem either. Some of this may be cultural depending on where one lives.

What I've noticed, men and women are socialized to view friendships differently. Women see them more as emotional connections; men see them more as buddies to hang out with. There are exceptions, and hopefully that's changing so that both can appreciate broader varieties of friendship.

A real friend is someone you can call a two o'clock in the morning in the middle of winter because your car broke down and they will come help you. How many of those do you have or any of us for that matter. I have one female friend and three male friends I can count on no matter what. I have a lot of folks I am friendly with. Women are more social and tend to have more of the later. Those are not "friends". I guess it depends on ones definition of the word friend. IMO

Even Bernie knows he wouldn't be able to hardly anything through Congress he wants. He said so on Rogen's show. He wouldn't even get the support of a lot of the Democrats in the congress. I would like to see a national healthcare system. I would like to see state universities more affordable, if not free. I would like to see all drugs decriminalised. I would like to see all guns except hunting rifles and shotguns be illegal, with a minimum of five years in prison with no parole, if you are caught with one. I would like to see term limits for Congress and all federal judges including SCOTUS. I would like to see more done to get off of fossil fuels. I may have left out something, but it's three o'clock in the morning and I just got in from a gig a little while ago.

@AmmaRE007 You say women are judged by their looks and that is true to a degree just as men are judged by what they do or how much money they make to a degree. We have all seen really good looking men and women who after you get to know them are not so attractive. By the same token we have seen men and women who aren't raving beauties. but because of their personalities, confidence, and the way they carry themselves makes them attractive. Men and women are far more different than a lot of people would like to acknowledge. We alway have been and we always will be.
