The Democrats are a very diverse party made up of every race in this country. The Republicans are made up primarily of white folks. Think about both parties conventions when they chose their nominees. The difference ie really startling. Where the Dems fuck up is when a certain wing of the party gets childish as they did in this last Presidential election and don't vote or vote for the opposition and then bitch for the next four years. These people do not go to church or ascribe to these organizations doctrine. Never assume because someone doesn't go to church they are non-believers. I have been with several women and have and have had friends all of my life who fall into this category. This has never ever been a problem for me.

I spent a month in the hospital where I was treated great as my sister-in-law was head of the radiology department, and I would have done anything to get out of the hospital after about two weeks. I understand it is your second home and that may affect your outlook on hospitals just as bars are my second home, and most people don't like bars, but I understand that.

This is what will change our country much more than a decline in Christianity. Since 1973 until 2014 the Innocence Project has helped 144 on death row get there convictions overturned. Those are just the ones DNA was still available. That is the reason to eliminate the death penalty.

@Neenz I don't know what planet you live on, but it isn't this one. :) So your house catches on fire, who puts out that fire? Someone runs into your car. You can't call the police, they don't exist. So how do you get them to pay to fix your car? Althoughs pot holes in the street, who fixes those. A bridge over a river gets wiped out in a flood, who replaces it? What is your plan?

Showers!! Never liked sitting in dirty water. I have to shower first then get in a tub. Way too much effort, water, energy etc. I like a steam room or sauna much more than a tub soak.

@MojoDave I do know doctors who are for a national system. When I was growing up there was no insurance and doctors lived in big houses and drove big cars. Because there was no insurance health care had to be made affordable. It will go there or it will collapse.

@Plainjane The more fat or sugar you eat, the more bile that gets dumped. No gallbladder, no regulator. Sugar is my biggie. If it has double digit sugars per serving I tend to avoid it except on occasion. I do hope your new baby makes it.

@Plainjane You are welcome. It was really bad. We have all been sick and thrown up a little bile, but this just kept coming and coming and would not stop. It lasted all day and into the late evening. I hope she doesn't have to have it removed, and if she does I hope she can give up beef and pork without too much of a problem. I still eat fish, chicken, and turkey. Morning Star Farms make a veggie sausage patty and a veggie hamburger patty that are surprisingly good. They carry it at HEB in the frozen food section. I hope the piglet makes it. Too cute.

I had a hernia operation when I was five and my brother had his tonsils out about that time. My parents were lower middle class, but they managed to pay for it, and the doctors lived in big houses and drove big cars. No one said doctors have to be multi-millionaires. They have to do something. Our system is not sustainable.
