They are very talented and they really listen to what is going on all around them. Listening may be the most important thing we do in a band. There are bands who are tight because they will play the song exactly the same every night (The Eagles, Toto, Steely Dan). You really don't have to listen as much. That ain't the Neville Brothers. We have room to play with a lot of our songs from night to night, so you really have to pay attention. It is more fun that way.

@redbai Details about your perfect government. So far you have said absolutely nothing. There are different forms of capitalism and different forms of socialism. Without details you are talking unicorns and rainbows. Who is in charge? How do they get their job of being in charge? Do the folks in management, dealing with the stress and strain of management get exactly the same benefits as the person sweeping up the offices. DETAILS!

@misstuffy We have a hearing impaired lady in her 70's who comes in and sings at an open mic our band hosts on Tues nights. She has a small hearing aid in her right ear, but you have to get pretty close for her to hear you. She mostly reads lips. She doesn't hit every note of course, but she is pretty good, and she plays some harmonica. The joy she gets out of this really touches the whole band. This was on her bucket list, and we kept encouraging her to come back, so she comes in every two weeks. She does karaoke on alternate weeks.

Nineteen black women were elected in Houston to judgeships, and one hundred seventeen women were elected to the US House. lf it hadn't been rigged, Georgia would have elected its first female Governor. In politics it is changing.
