It went from being one of the most affordable cities to live in for its size to the most expensive city in Texas in which to live. Since we do most of first contacts we generally take our time, see what someone has to say, what some of their views are, we can weed out the ones that might be crazy or weird for our tastes. Then I got a real job for 11 years, got let go, and retired with my SS and a 401K, and now I play every tuesday with a full band, and a few times a month with an acoustic trio. Yes, she is a GREAT vocalist. She and Bonnie Raitt are the two most versatile female singers I have ever heard. Both can and have sung pretty much every genre of popular music and done them very, very well. Ray Charles is the only male singer I have heard who did the same.
