I wear a small whistle that came from a charm bracelet my mother had and a St Christopher the Navy gave my father in WWll on a chain around my neck. He wasn't religious, but it fits on a chain, it was his, and I don't feel weird about wearing it. As a matter of fact I felt weird the only time I left the house without that chain. I felt like I left a piece of me behind.

I think they are pissed their guy is losing traction. I believe his angry old man shtick is wearing thin. If you look at history, the angry or negative approach seldom wins. I believe Warren is taking the right approach, staying away from attacking her Democratic opponents, and speaking about what she would do and how to pay for it. Don't get me wrong, I like Bernie and would have no problem voting for him if he were to get the nomination. I just think his approach is wrong.

We played at the Bat Fest here in town last weekend. There were booths and music. Bat Man and Robin were there. I met Bat Man's step sister a couple of days later. I didn't know he had a step sister. At dusk they watch the bats come out from under the bridge going out to feed. Thirty minutes from here in Austin they have the Spamarama, a salute and cookoff celebrating Spam.

I've had an outbreak once. It really is miserable. I got my shots at the VA a few months ago. It's two shots, 30 days apart. One of them did the same to me, but now I can't remember which one.

The only thing I expect in a relationship is to be excepted for who I am, with no ifs, ands, or buts. I will do the same. Other than that I have no expectations, because every relationship I have been in, has been unique in it's own way, because the women were each unique in their own way. That doesn't mean there aren't adjustments to be made by both parties.

Ray is as good as it gets. There is no genre of popular music he did not sing and could not sing. To say he is the greatest singer of popular music ever would not be an overstatement. Country, jazz, blues, rock, he could sing it all at the highest level. I know of no other male singer who did that, and only two female singers who could and have done that, Bonnie Raitt and Linda Ronstadt.

Because of my profession, wherever I have lived, I have always had a lot of aquaintances, but only a handful of friends. I have one lifelong friend, and almost always have had one or two ( male and female ) close friends in those places I have lived.

Everything in the arts is subjective. I don't know what instrument you play but, Prince was a really talented player, singer, writer, and producer. If you don't like him that is fine, but to question his talent is just silly. I don't know if he was a genius, but that was one very talented son-of-bitch. I have never heard anyone call Sinatra a genius, but he could sell a song as well as anyone who ever sang a song. Some may have had better voices, but that is only a part of it. As a mater of fact, I have never heard any of the folks you mentioned called a genius by anyone, except maybe Picasso. If you don't care for them or what they do is fine. Whether you like it or not, they have left a mark in their field. I think we throw the term "genius" around a little to freely anyway.

Not really true. I have met plenty of folks who could not careless about music. I even dated someone for a short while who had no music in her life. She didn't even have a radio in her car. She said it didn't do anything for her. I do believe most people like some kind of music, even if just for special occasions. Then there are those to whom it is very important for different reasons.
