I always have some kind of noise going on in the background... even if it's something like the window open for natural noise. I can't sleep without some kind of white nose. And right now, because im thinking about it... it's pretty loud, lol

@Surfpirate My father ran for State Representative when I was about 10 and lost. His opponent used the fact that he was divorced against him, a big deal in the 50's. I remember crying when he lost. He stayed active in politics for a long time after that, so we grew up in it. I am sorry you lost. I don"t believe Conservatives are suited to govern any longer. They hate change and do not know how to deal with change. Change is so fast now, it magnifies the problem. I think this is why they live in the past. In the 70's and 80's they wanted to back to the 50's. In the 90's and two thousands, they wanted to go bck to the Reagan years. You can't lead if you are looking behind. Again, thank you for giving it a shot.

@Booklover This form of communication is not always conducive to subtle humor, but I did get that. I would have to say 35 years is pretty successful. I think growing up in a culture where we are told marriage should be forever is the real culprit. Life is far to complicated for that expectation.

@Booklover I am fine. t really get tired of people acting like their bad marriage was totally their partners fault. It was their choice to be there. If they stayed too long, that was their choice too. I blame myself for my bad choices in partners.

@ailurophile. Sorry, not buying it. I have spent most of my life around these folks. They ones that live on their own lands can live anyway they want. They love cable TV, indoor plumbing, and all the modern conveniences. Did white people fuck them over? Yes they did. That is the history of humanity everywhere. It may suck, but then humanity sucks. It is still just Halloween.
