That's your best yet.
I like to talk dirty, especially to women.
Storm1752 comments on Nov 17, 2019:
Do you find women like it when you talk 'dirty' to them in casial conversation, do you use it to draw them in closer, or do you reserve it for women you already know intimately? Besides cocksucker, what other words do you like to use? When I get the chance I like to tell a woman I love to lick 'pussy.' I tell my sister-in-law that (just for fun) and send her lesbian pictures. She loves it, being bi. It's just to tease her; I'd never cross the line, even if she wanted to (and she doesn't).
Wanted to share my latest crochet blanket.

Do you take orders? How much?
Having these thoughts, who else better to share them with?
Storm1752 comments on Nov 15, 2019:
The oral climax is a nice touch. Very original for this group. It encourages me to submit a short story of my own. Since my 'fetish' is lesbian, I'll see if I can come up with something worth sharing; that is, if there are no objections. Fiction has been tried on here before, but I get the feeling most visitors are nervous such a post would discourage women from being interested in them, if their motivation is to meet someone special. Since that's not my (primary) reason for being here, I don't care. Furthermore, any woman who'd read any of my posts and get turned off by anything there, I wouldn't be interested in being with anyway. Thanks for the contribution.

Storm1752 comments on Nov 15, 2019:
Just for clarification: the implication is, there's a distinction to be made between an 'ethical' slut and a non-ethical slut. The understood, meant-to-be-derogatory definition is of a woman (or man, for that matter) who has many casual sexual partners. I'd put the emphasis on CASUAL, as in, she or he doesn't care about personality, character, compatibility, etc., etc.... No! This wanton human being just wants sex for sex's sake! What a slut! BUT, is this really a question of 'ethics?' Is it inherently IMMORAL to behave this way? Sure, it might be foolish (STDs), or betray a lack of class, or reveal an unusually insatiable degree of promiscuity/nymphomania/satyrism or whatever, but is it WRONG? Personal ethics is, after all, one's code of conduct based on one's sense of right and wrong. So IS it, or not? I wonder. In fact, I'd argue one's sexual behavior has nothing to do with morality, but instead has to do with one's individual wants and desires. Some people here have group sex. Some polyamorous sex. Gay sex. Some 'cheat,' some have open relationships...you name it, all are probably represented here. So, what IS the difference between one type of slut and another? There's such a smorgasbord of sexual options it's hard to tell! Let me again submit for approval the label, La Femme Boheme. Yes I know, not going to happen. How about, 'The Particular Slut?' The Discriminating Slut? The Choosy Slut? The Classy, Refined, Tasteful, Elegant Slut? In other words, I'd suggest the inference a person who 'sleeps around' is unethical is, at the very least inaccurate. At worse, it could be regarded as unappreciative or even INSULTING to sexual deviants, degenerates, and overachievers everywhere, and to their admirers.
Do women enjoy giving oral sex to men?
Storm1752 comments on Nov 13, 2019:
Is it possible both men and women enjoy it IF: 1) They like/ love the person, or 2) Find him/her sexually desirable, or 3) Both.

Storm1752 comments on Nov 10, 2019:
I think people are polyamorous anyway, and it's a shame they're locked into monogamous relationships. It's like being in prison. Everyone should have full jurisdiction over their own bodies, to do with them what they will. Unfortunately that's not the case, unless one demands it of oneself and one's partner. At the very least, one should have the FREEDOM to have sex with multiple partners if one so chooses.

Storm1752 comments on Nov 9, 2019:
I think there may be such a thing as intelligent design, if meant in the deist sense things were set in motion and then left alone. In that case, did the "designer" then know it'd unfold precisely as it did? I think not. "God" can NOT know the future, I propose. At least not every little detail, (especially about what each of billions of people are going to do at any given time!) Just because some book says so doesn't mean it's true. (Think of all the other things it's wrong about.) After all, how can we have free will (we do) if everything past, present and to come is already known? Clearly that is not possible. So I think it plausible "intelligent design" MAY have happened in some "macro" sense. That is, if there was such a thing to begin with.

SPIRITUAL.
Storm1752 comments on Nov 9, 2019:
I like that definition. One idea is it's the sense there's something "outside" or "more important" than the four-dimensional world, deserving respect. If that causes "awe" or "reverence" in some, so be it...but it's not required. It's enough to simply acknowledge life, OUR lives included, have meaning, that it's important we recognize the "universe:" 1) is unfolding in an uncertain way, 2) it MATTERS what happens, and 3) all of us play a part. The details are unknown and may differ for each person. Each has his or her own interpretation as to what they are and what it means. Is there a "plan?" Personally I doubt it. A destination? It'll all end up somewhere, but exactly where is anybody's guess. Because unlike the complete but unsatisfying answers of religion, spirituality is a transcendent state of mind. Rather than a bunch of rituals, dogmas, tenets, commands, rules, instructions and beliefs, it is but a feeling of purpose and direction. What purpose, which direction, is up to you. Some may think that's too vague. Too bad. I'm not a priest. You're asking the wrong person.

Storm1752 comments on Nov 8, 2019:
Skepticism in ancient times was based on the presumption nothing could be known for sure. It insisted the only logical position was complete open-mindedness. Today, we would regard that as utter nonsense. Did Sasquatch assasinate Kennedy? Maybe! Today, skepticism via the "scientific method" exposes and refutes conclusions based on faulty or incomplete evidence, false reasoning and faulty logic: 1) Affirming the Consequent, or inductive reasoning, seems ludicrous when distilled to its essence. If taxes are lowered, I'll have more money to spend. I've more money to spend. Therefore, taxes must've been lowered. Another mistake is "arguing from ignorance:" if something cannot be proven false, it must be true. And vice versa. Take the pyramids: can it be proven they we're NOT built by aliens? No. In fact, since it seems impossible primitive men built them, 'they' must have! Seems logical. The error occurs when some people change 'seems' to 'was.' But can we rule out the possibility aliens at least helped men build them, or built them with only minimal human assistance.? Of course not. The error happens when we assert, based on the faulty (or at least premature) premise men DEFINITELY could not have built them, aliens had to have built them, since aliens cannot be proven not to exist. Anyone can see the problem here: maybe aliens do NOT exist! Scientists can't say. BUT they DO have the physical reality of the structure, archeological records, and the ability to conduct experiments to see if there WAS a way for men to have built them on their own. Jury's still out. Applied to Creationism versus Evolution, we see a similar dynamic... But is the jury still deliberating, after having applied to the matter deductive reasoning and the scientific method? Most (nearly ALL) scientists say no. Sure, one may postulate and Deists suggest a god COULD have set the wheels in motion and allowed evolutionary processes to take their inevitable (?) course to intelligent life, but then again maybe not. This is unknowable, at present. But according to all positive evidence, evolution did occur. Can one challenge this evidence? Not as a deductively-arrived-at hypotheses. Only if one "affirms the consequent" and says, The bible is the infallible word of God. The bible says the universe was created in seven earth days, despite all evidence to the contrary. Therefore, this positive evidence is nevertheless untrue, and probably planted by Satan to decieve men. Since at present we can prove neither the existence of extraterrestrial aliens nor the existence of god, all we DO have is the physical evidence. If we want to delve outside of the realm of science, all bets are off and anything's possible.

Unlike the plantations of antiquity, the modern-day African American church is the new plantation.
Storm1752 comments on Nov 6, 2019:
First, 'antiquity' means the long, long ago past, not about 150 years ago. Also, comparing the experience of real, flesh-and-blood, actual SLAVES with that of relatively much better-off free people, while maybe tempting--there ARE similarities--is in my humble opinion an insult to African Americans and their 300-400-year ordeal. The trials and tribulations of modern-day blacks, while still a troublesome disgrace, PALES by comparison. They are much more able, AS ARE WE, to throw off the shackles of religious ignorance. This is a forward-oriented society. If you ask me, we'd all be better off building on the progress we've made, rather than dwell on the past. That may be both a common AND an unpopular opinion, but it is unapologetically mine. We've come a long way, still a long way to go. Just a superficial impression, but one I'm sure is shared by many others.

Whether in a more dramatic watershed moment, or in a lesser, slower erosion, the beach cliffs and shores of antiquated, obsolete ideas and assumptions will inevitably be washed away, exposing new ground. If you want to think of it as a fight, it is a one-sided one. Viewed through the lens of history, old ideas always give way to updated information.

It leads nowhere, except to a dead end full of distortions, half-truths, and outright lies. As such, it is worse than a waste of time, because by the time you realize you're going down the wrong path, you may be lost and never find your way back. But there IS hope. Never give up looking for the "truth." The explanations for the "mysteries" of life are there; our instruments and our inadequately-developed brains are not yet up to the task, but someday, I think, the answers will be found. I believe we ARE here for a reason, despite what some would say. I personally live my life as if it matters and has meaning. I hope you do the same.

Storm1752 comments on Oct 29, 2019:
The last is my favorite. We'll find better ways to fill the "void" than religion and tv. Something more modern, like realistically solving our problems rather than praying to "god" for solutions and thinking we actually accomplished anything. Once we solve those problems, we can invent a different, "better" god based on science and reality. Churches will cease to exist.

Storm1752 comments on Oct 29, 2019:
The very question is hopeful. But irrelevant. Hope is NECESSARY. Without it we can forget about the "pursuit of happiness!" Hope is the future. Without the future we are morose and despondent. Is hope realistic? Beside the point. Hope is real. So ignore all the grouches who say it isn't. They're wrong.
The agnostic crowd is much more intelligent than the rest!! Sorry, but it is the truth.
Storm1752 comments on Oct 29, 2019:
Flattering, but not true. Even if it was, I personally doubt a correlation between number of brain cells and either accuracy of perception, or the ability to deliberate rationally. (Intelligence is irrelevant, I think.) Rather, unrestricted (agnostic, not atheistic) thought COULD open and free the mind to consider the vast spectrum of possibilities, when trying to explain (or interpret) either a specific set of circumstances, or something as mind-bending as the essence of the Universe. Simplistic shortcuts (like my mother's solution I "pray" about any question, problem, desired result, etc.) no longer satisfy the need for resolution ..one must THINK. Thinking, in turn, perhaps opens shut mental doors and exercises the critical faculties. Thus an ILLUSION of superior intelligence could be created, when far more intelligent people may seem dull-witted by comparison.

Deists think "god" created everything, set it in motion, then withdrew to let things unfold as they will. Not benevolent or malicious, not a personal deity who answers prayers or intervenes in any other way. So free will is very much in play, not predeterminism...maybe this "god" doesn't know what's going to happen any more than we do. After all, how WOULD "god" know the future? Why do people assume that? Because it knows "everything?" Why do we assume THAT? People ascribe all kinds of powers to "god" it might not possess. And maybe deny it ones it MAY (like interdimensional, multi-universal, transformational, etc.). "God" the word carries with it so much baggage it makes a refugee from the dating wars seem like a newborn babe.

Today, I CHOOSE the information. At some point in the past, it was probably pure chance. I didn't choose it. Then, I began to choose. Now, somebody can CHOOSE one's own label. I don't call myself an atheist because I believe that to be an unreasonable and fallacious position, only slightly more valid than theism. But that's, I think, more a semantical argument, at least I cling to that hope

Storm1752 comments on Oct 23, 2019:
I read somewhere scientists ran experiments on hypnotizable subjects and observed their reactions when they made them think of only, in turns, the past, the present, and finally the future. Don't ask me how they could do that, but anyway; when only in the past, they were sad and morose; when only in their present they were all business, pragmatic, focused; when only in the future they were giddy and thoroughly, unreasonably elated. If true, sounds like living in the past is not a good place to be. I think everybody judges everybody else all the time. It's automatic. How could you stop yourself from doing so, even if you could? If you mean, judging others with unfair harshness while thinking yourself perfect? Would that make that person unhappy? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not!

No, I don't think "you are here" for any specific reason at all. Some people have wonderful lives, some terrible lives, some somewhere in the spectrum between the two. It's just the luck of the draw. I DO think believing that can make life more bearable for those who suffer. I suffer sometimes. Right now things are pretty good, and I hope it stays that way! But when I have been in the midst of torturous pain, it helped to know I wasn't alone. I guess that's why I liked Dylan so much: he didn't sugar-coat life and pretend everything was great and the only possible problem was whether or not some girl loved him or not. In fact, he was sick of life and made sure everybody knew it! Anyway, I try to remember the bad times, know they may come again, and try to help out if possible. And I know EVERYBODY has the final "bad time" when the time comes, so I try to enjoy it when and if I can, and hope for the best.

Storm1752 comments on Oct 20, 2019:
I posit it will become obsolete. Irrelevant. No longer applicable to the "facts on the ground." Technology, I predict, will provide for all physical needs without need for MANual labor. I believe we are so still in thrall of old thinking generated by the "old religions," which of course are unfortunately still with us, it's hard to think beyond it. Armaggedon (self-fulfilling prophecy?), the simplistic duality of good and evil and man's essentially 'evil' nature, original 'sin,' the inevitability of scarcity, pain, and suffering, etc. It need not be that way but we have been conditioned since birth to believe it. This is the pernicious essence of the religious mindset in which we are steeped and marinated. And who can blame our ancestors for thinking this way? That was their reality. Indeed it is ours as well, for now. As is capitalism. Republicans think (or pretend to think) they invented capitalism and are in the process of perfecting it via "supply-side" voodoo economics and Ayn Rand-style Objectivism, but as we should know by now it's a carefully-crafted illusion, invented or co-opted by the rich to justify their avarice and greed. And/or they really believe this nonsense. Whatever. I think Democratic socialism is now, to one degree or another, the trend, and will eventually evolve into communism once the technology supports it.

You "suspect" 'Jesus' existed? On what grounds? When I hear the term "historical figure" I think of the waterwalker, not some hapless preacher. They were a dime a dozen. THAT Jesus, to me, doesn't count. Besides, Jesus Christ is NOT a real name. It's an amalgamation of two words both meaning "saviour" or "Messiah." What was his real name? I forget. Doesn't matter. My point is, Jesus the "historical figure" did not exist, as HAS been circumstantially proven to at least MY satisfaction: zero historical record, countless factual errors in the "gospels" which clearly point to them being fictitious forgeries, the empirical evidence "miracles" are impossible and if--by some fantastical stretch of the imagination--they DID occur, surely would have been recorded "historically" by many and myriad historians of the time there on the ground, busy chronicalling the events in that very region in meticulous detail. On and on. There seems to me NO QUESTION the Adventures of Jesus was a hoax which, once it gained traction, was seized upon by the Flavian dynasty of Roman emperors to distance themselves from the previous, disgraced dynasty of Caligula, Tiberius, et. al., and the mythological "gods" with whom they were so closely identified. It's all there in the "historical" record for anyone to see. It's not that there is no "proof," it's that no proof will ever be convincing enough for those who refuse to accept it. (THOSE people are still looking for Noah's Ark.)

Our erstwhile and maybe future friends DO understand there are some sane Americans. Our enemies love Trump, hope for more of same, and will almost certainly get him or her at least every other time. The truly perceptive ones know he's just the tip of the iceberg which may very well sink the ship, whether that be the U.S. or the whole Titanic world.

I think dirty talk is very erotic.
Storm1752 comments on Oct 15, 2019:
You could always just start by talking dirty, instead of talking about talking dirty. For instance, a close, bi, platonic (married) female friend and I text constantly. She is disenchanted with her sex life with hubby and wants to meet another woman for emotional and sexual intimacy. I of course am strongly urging her to do just that, and occasionally send her (tasteful, mature) lesbian porn, and am suggesting dating sites, etc. I find this highly erotic, since I'm a huge consumer of the sub-genre and this fits perfectly into a potential fantasy of mine. In other words, I'm living out through her a fantasy come to life! I masturbate thinking about it. Plus I think she wants and on some level needs my input. Not only that, I think it's a huge turn-on for her. So...is that talking dirty? There's lots of ways to talk dirty. Go ahead. Try it.
Your veiws on Spiritual?
Storm1752 comments on Oct 15, 2019:
Putting your atrocious grammar and syntax aside, I agree with what I THINK you are trying to say. Yes we are bio-organisms above all else, and our "spirituality," if we choose to have one, need not have anything to do with "religion" past or present, but can rather be a personal thing of one's very own. I myself am a self-styled "agnostic Neo-Deist." Why? Because I feel like it today. It is all about the Unknowable Wonderland of Truth, as you put it. We wonder about the mysteries but no more, because there IS nothing more to know. It's Unknowable! Darwin and other scientists cross boundaries because science is or should be immune to religious or cultural meddling. It may be the closest thing we have to true religion.

I totally disagree with the bleakly hopeless tone of Eagleton's exposition. Seems like he's just another talented wordsmith with very little of substance to say. Agnostics are much less defeatist and depressing. Rather than say our finest moments are worthless (despite the fact they "may" on the other hand be "precious,") I always remain neutral but hopeful my life is meaningful because it seems so, feels like it, and I act accordingly. I often feel sorry for atheists, who seem so determined to talk themselves into a dark and unforgiving place. It reminds me of Abrahamists who strive for the unattainably perfect...they strive for the unattainable meaninglessness of the absolute certitude of nothingness. The only answer I can think of for the question, "why?" is: I don't know. But unlike Mr. Eagleton there's SO MUCH I don't know I could write a book about it.
I have a friend who shows up every now and then at my house to chat and pray over me.

Compared to...? A lot of people come and read and think but don't say anything. They observe, like scientists a rare, exotic species. But considering the meteotic growth in agnostic thought, the numbers could be small. So what? Many agnostics are not activist (or even ACTIVE) by nature and simply don't care about preaching their viewpoint. Or discussing it. Or arguing about it. They:re not motivated to find support for their opinions. Why bother? Being new, many here still have conflicts and issues within THEMSELVES and their OWN world view and are trying to sort it all out. They're not sure WHAT to think. Once they are they might fade away. Some come harboring a deep distrust, even hatred, for religious folk and want to break them, and are here to grow a "movement," as they see it. Some are social and interactive and like the sense of community. Me? I like, I hate, I scoff, I applaud, I remain silent, I speak up, I stay away, I'm fueled by a self-righteous fire, gentle bemusement, or detached indifference. Depends on which hour of which day. As an agnostic I'm usually open to new ideas expressed by open-minded people. But like most of us I'm pretty sure I have it basically right. It's an accident I'm here, but now that I am I'll probably never leave. I'm no hero and lie to others when advisable, or convenient, or imperative. It's a realistic, pragmatic approach--often cowardly but I don't care--it works for me.
Hmm; I'm guessing the artist was agnostic?

Don't worry about what SOME people say about god! I'm ten years sober without AA. God has nothing to do with it. BUT AA DOES identify and codify several true things about quitting, like hitting "rock bottom" and deciding for yourself to quit. No one can do that for you. For some people, especially at the beginning, AA can be a support group helping to reinforce resolve. Things like that. But the god trappings are just window dressing, and have nothing to do with being a non-drinking person. I quit because I finally realized once and for all, after a lifetime of starting and stopping and starting, alcohol had ruined my life and would continue to do so unless I stopped. Seems simple, but until you finally believe that down deep at your very CORE it does no good. AA thinks that "core" is religious conviction, but it isn't, so, if anything, AA's Christian cult nature ruins or at the very least dilutes it's power to help.

Storm1752 comments on Oct 4, 2019:
Rational thinking doesn't promote any such thing. The answer to almost ANY question dealing with morality is almost never A or B. There is always context to consider. Yes, and torturing someone (aside from the fact it often doesn't work) would be a very GOOD thing if it stopped a war.
I just got into a debate with someone about Jesus' crucifixion being God's Will, hypothetically.
Storm1752 comments on Oct 3, 2019:
What you're really asking is, "Who cannot see the utter self-contradiction of the whole fable?" And, "Why would god set up this whole charade to play out in the first place?" But, to humor the question for just for a second, only a relatively few people knew he was god, right? If the rest HAD known, they never would have crucified him no matter what? THEY would've opposed it? Not necessarily! So why didn't he snap his fingers and make it obvious? Because he didn't WANT them to know? If they HAD known, and knew all of mankind, living, dead, or yet to be born, would be "saved," and that "Jesus" WANTED it, they probably would've thought god was a lunatic, but they probably would've shrugged their shoulders and said, "whatever." One could go on and on about the ridiculousness of the whole thing!

I think it's more a reactionary, knee-jerk adversion to change, wanting things to stay exactly the way they KNOW them to be. Whether a Republican or a fundamentalist Evangelical, or not coincidentally BOTH, or a Muslim, or a Stalinist, or whatever, some people have settled on the "truth" and refuse to budge! Are they more gullible? Of course, because ANYTHING which allows them to preserve the "truth," despite the evidence, is believeable!
