We also had a couple come in to rent a bike for 3 hours and then took it for 5 hours and refused to pay for the extra 2 hours, nothing wrong with the bike but the restaurant they asked us to recommend for them took too long and they felt we should eat the time. Bonus was a lovely couple from NYC that took out a couple of our Italian bikes and had a wonderful time,he is a very fun attorney and she is a dreamboat smartypants, I would have let them ride for free they were so much fun. @Triphid The conquistadors greed was only surpassed by their cruelty towards the native people. When we lived in Ecuador there was a small town called Seville d'Oro in the mountains that used to be a colonial seat of power and the governor was so cruel and demanding of yearly tributes of gold from the natives that the local people eventually rose up in revolt. On the night before the annual tribute was due, native warriors attacked the town and killed everyone of the Spanish invaders. The governor had molten gold poured down his throat to quench his thirst for gold and the Spanish moved their outpost to Cuenca after that.

I've always seen the Bible come with both the Old and New Testament bundled in one book - it is the divine word of the Holy Moly himself so wouldn't it be a sin to split them? :D
Seeing that we are all atheists agnostics what makes a person choose good over evil?

Self interest, the most reliable of motivators for personal actions.

@Kojaksmom All actions if you really think about it are motivated by self interest, even the ones that entail sacrifice.

@Honorabledougn damage done and mission accomplished, which conservative wonk will have their twitter account devalued and how would we even know? I had conservatives spread lies about me in the last municipal election which I lost by just 9 votes, they told people I had been able to retire early because I was a drug dealer, not that I had worked hard and saved my money building hotels overseas. We are now getting a dog park instead of fixing the potholes in our roads. :(
