It's a real shame so many people want the earth destroyed so badly. It's actually a decent little planet as far as planets go. Some of the species are pretty fucked up, but overall I think it gets 2 thumbs up.

The planet is doing just fine except for a minor case of human fleas that it is about to shake off if we don't stop being a pest. Earth will be a breeding ground for all manner of lifeforms after we are gone as a species, not a planetary tear will be shed.

What is your great love for this building that has you in such a state when others don't share your feelings. Buildings burn down all the time, some of them are very beautiful in their design and architecture but your affection seems to have more to do with purpose than the building. People build buildings, I'm a fourth generation master builder so I may know a little more than most about it, but none of them last and this building will not be rebuilt exactly how it was because you can't even source most of the materials anymore due to deforestation. Leave it as a burned out shell and spend the money on feeding the hungry, healing the sick and caring for the orphans.

I like women very much, they tend to be more rational and civil than most men, broad strokes of course, I am not much of a fan of politicians however. Running a candidate just because of their sexual orientation doesn't make much sense to me but if the Dems feel they must do this then why not Elizabeth Warren? It makes little sense to me considering that the USofA is so far behind the curve on women's equality in the first place. Why would a woman have a shot at being president of the US when it is a country full of misogynists and religious extremists that only want to subjugate women?

@Freedompath There are many supporters and large sums of money raise for his defense, funds that have been frozen because of the political pressure put on banks by the US government. When you are facing a kangaroo court there is no innocent verdict available. When your own government bows to US pressure and strips you of your citizenship there is no sanctuary and when the country that takes you in and grants you not only asylum but citizenship breaches international convention and allows the secret service to come into it's embassy and seize on of it's own citizens then there is no justice. @MojoDave It's not a treasonous act for an Australian to talk to a Russian, it isn't even a treasonous act for an American to talk to a Russian. Talking to Don Jr. must have been pretty nasty but probably not as nasty as Hillary Clinton's suggestion that they just assassinate Assange.

It's a stretch to consider Assange as a journalist and extremely difficult to attribute any altruistic motivations on his part. He's always struck me as a profiteer who'd sell even sensitive material, touching on national security, if the price were right. He isn't a crusader for truth in my ...

He actually doesn't face allegations of rape, you might want to fact check that a little deeper. The women in question simply wanted to have him take a test for STD's after having unprotected sex with him, the first Swedish prosecutor threw out the charge as it had no grounds and the second prosecutor brought it back because the US wanted to extradite Assange.

Manning didn't do the dirty work either, rather he put a spot light on something that needed to be addressed. The journalist that published the information on the My Lai Massacre during the Vietnam War wasn't vilified but then he didn't take his reporting all the way to the top where important people might lose face. ;)

Should Trump even have been in the running in the first place? He's worse than an asshat and yet he squeaked by for the win that should have been Hillary's. If there was nothing in those emails in the first place then it wouldn't have mattered but instead defeat was grabbed from the jaws of victory so there is more to it than just what Wikileaks published. Hillary should have won easily and everybody thought that she would, right up to the point where she didn't and Trump put his fat ass in the White House.

@Charlene You are absolutely right, there were never any rape charges at all, just a demand to interview Assange to decide if there were any grounds to go forward with a rape charge. The women in question wanted him to provide a test for STD's because they had unprotected but consensual sex with Assange. The misinformation persists however and is parroted by the likes of Fox News to discredit the whistleblowers. Interestingly, the Wikileaks documents were used by many national news companies but none of them were sanctioned for repeating the embarrassing truths about important people. Even more interesting is the new narrative that Assange brought down Hillary and put Trump in office when the truth is that Hillary brought herself down and Trump rose on the shoulders of idiots.

The council is a complete overhaul of the previous group that held sway for the past two decades and had kept everything at a standstill during that time.
