Although I certainly addressed it personally with the President of the Howe Island Firefighters Association, he invited me, he set the agenda and he changed it so I called him on it as soon as the debate was over. Hold people like that to account, make them squirm a bit so they know that you know what shit they pulled.

The client burst out laughing, the Mormon almost had a total meltdown and my offer of membership in the Inner Circle was withdrawn, those fuckers can kiss my ass in the county square.

I acknowledge your opinion but I don't want to win if I have to compromise my morals or my position, there's nothing in it for me except to work toward the common good and selling out is not the way to get anywhere near that. This is also not party politics the way it is in the US where there is only a 2 party system, all candidates in this election are running independent because there are no parties at the municipal level, even at what you would call the state level there are about a dozen official parties.

Well surprise, surprise, surprise, they have an actual election on their hands now and their handpicked candidates are completely incompetent. The main special interest group which calls themselves the Gang of Four (do people not read history anymore) try to turn me to their way of thinking and I told them to piss up a rope because I represent the interest of all the constituents and not just them. They don't like me very much, especially since I told them to change their stupid nickname so they don't sound like the evil despots who killed millions during Mao's Cultural Revolution.

We are fighting hard against these sorts of creeps up here in Canada and I don't doubt that the good people of America are fighting the same fight. What is scary for me as a father with a daughter living and working in Jacksonville, Florida is that the lunatics are running amok down there and that leaves me feeling that my daughter is far less safe in the US than if she were back home in Canada. She has dual citizenship through her step-father who was an officer in the USMC, so she can come and go as she pleases between the two countries. Being on the outside looking in on what is happening in the US and my many American friends who are struggling against this evil and incompetent regime gives me great cause for concern. True enough, the same fringe group has elected a populist premier in my own province and I am running in the local election to help fight against the same misguided group of elitists that are trying to turn my country into an uncivilized and inequitable society.

He served his time, we have largely recovered but if you ever need a reason to despise religion, this sort of behavior that they condone is a good one.

@Lilac-Jade You might be surprised just what you can find in the Cariboo but you can also get duck fat just by cooking up a duck or a goose. Seems to me that the Canadas, the Speckle bellies, the Snows and the Ross's Geese should all be flying and in season soon.
