Was never part of a church going family as a . Had a horrible terrifying year as a third grader... the local church was the 'hangout' and the group that offered assistance when our house burned down. They planted their seed. By 4th grade we were living in a very scary place ... I was scared all the time. Actually fell into trying the prayer I'd heard so much about after the fire.... not but a few weeks later my mom was diagnosed with cancer. My fragile wanting to believe turned to an equal mix of confusion and anger.
