I've never had an issue with AAA. I've been a member since 2001. Saved my bacon many times! Only thing I can whine about is sometimes the tow truck driver is way late. That's not under their control. I had a tire blow out near denver. I asked if they would take me to a shop that took a check (the bank locked my card because they didn't know it was me - I asked them to NOT lock the card). They said every AAA approved shop has to take it. Another perk is lots of places will give you an AAA discount. Pizza hut does/did and lots of hotels will too. Just have to ask if they have a discount. Only other gripe I had was when my ex left my car abandoned. I told her it didn't have valid plates. They refused to tow it because the plates were expired. You also need to be by the vehicle when the driver gets there, and you need the card on you.
