I have heard of such a program, but IIRC it was called something else. The firearm needs to be at least 50 years old or have some historical value. Nebraska is verry lenient with firearm laws.

It probably varies from county to county, and laws might have changed. It was in the paper a couple of times - don't have a gun lock get one for free. I don't use gun locks. Why? Because if it isn't on me it's in a safe. Whoever wrote that part of the manual makes responsible friearm owners look like idiots.

The insurance company told me that I was not covered because it was not an ACA program. So why did they drop it all of s sudden last year? Yes the doctors are somewhat to blame. My sister is a doctor (chiropractor). She gets MORE money if it goes through insurance than cash pay! Think maybe this is why health insurance is so high here??? Watch the documentary Sicko. Doctors that under NHS make good money. I don't know why some people have to suffer because they can't afford medical. Or are scared they will go bankrupt. My sister just recently went to the Czech Republic. Why? To run in a marathon. These people are just so greedy! Not being able to afford health care just makes you sicker, and you end up with a lot bigger bill for something that could have been prevented in the first place. I'll compare our health care system to someone that can't afford parts for their car. You need brake pads. They are only $20. You don't have 20. So it's your only vehicle and you need it to get to and from work. So you drive it long enough that the pads get so worn that it goes metal to metal. You finally have to get it repaired. Now you need pads, rotors, and two calipers. Now something that would have cost $20 now costs a couple hundred. Preventive maintaince not only applys to vehicles, but your health! Big pharma is another thing. My mother was diagnosed with hep c. The 3 month supply was $120K. Yes, one hundred twenty fucking thousand. Luckily Medicare took care of it. Otherwise she would have to have sold the farm.
