Up north how much do overweight tickets get you? Here it is a huge fine. I mostly would haul to the ethanol plant. There is a weigh station right by it. I could legally go 90K (103,500 with my overweight permit). I'd usually be around 95K. DOT is a PITA and I don't want to deal with them!

No. Unless if there is some reason you are not allowed to own a firearm, there are two ways you can legally get a pistol. One is a private sale. The other is if it is gifted. The gifted part has to be part of your immediate family. I asked if my dad could come and pick it up if I bought it. He said that my dad would have to give them the money.

You finally give up and just say take it out of the $21. IF you managed to get it out fast enough, good luck being able to use it! It is not uncommon to post a pic of you and a firearm if you shoot a deer. What kind of pic are you going to post with that? A pic of you, the pistol, and a dead mouse?

@Trajan61 I hope your friend wasn't hurt in the incident. That is just an ungodly rare situation. He would have had to go through the pickup box, and into the fuel tank. The rifle would have had to be pointed down tho. Frim the back, he would have had to go through the rear bumper. With all that, I don't think if he hit the fuel tank, I don't know if it would ignite. Maybe if it did hit the tank, and he was low on fuel, it would be easier to ignite. Vapors are worse than a fuel tank. For the hell of it I should take an old milk jug full of gas and try to see if I can duplicate it. Do you know what cal rifle he had? I'd guess it was a 270 or 30-06. I think the 700 series had both.

Lots of times home invasions are done by someone you know, and has been in your house. He relapsed and I got two broken eye sockets, three skull fractures, and several knife wounds. He took a plea bargan. He will be sentenced on the 19th of next month. I have a restraining order against him (two actually), and this SOB has been driving by my house! The plea was only 18 mons supervised probation with the possibility of jail. He spent 12 years in prison already, and went to jail a couple times after that. I've heard from 4 different people that he lost about 100 lbs in about 6 mons. It is suspected that his room mate got busted for meth, and his girl had track marks all over her arms.
Point is that I'd much rather have a place where it is hard to get in, then call the cops. The police actually have no obligation to protect you. Really. I asked for extra patrol, which happened for about a week. Now, nothing.
