I say yes! Reason being is about your health care system. Not bad at all! A friend of mine has lived in B.C. all his life. He told me that 90 CND is taken out of his check every month. The last time I checked the exchange rate, that was about 70 USD. My co-pay with insurance is $50. Even for a check-up. That covered him, his daughter, dental, vision, and extended stay! Now the Province pays for his daughter's. He has never been declined medical. Ever. My insurance is about $300/mo! They deny certian things. You can judge a country by how it treats it's sick! Justin is a class-act compared to our president!

There is a good reason why you didn't hear of them 'till '85. I believe they started in 1981, and didn't get a lot of air play until the Black Album came out in 1991. A friend of mine that lived in Ventura, Ca, said around that time there was only one station that would out them on the air (Ventura is part of L.A.). Both of the people I am talking specifically about went to prison for meth. He spent 12 years, and I think she spent 3. Their attitude is poor. This guy I am specifically talking about has a bad habit of bashing on my door in the middle of the night and won't leave until I answer. I stay away from him, but he just comes over. It got so bad that I ended up staying at my dad's house. He called the police on me twice. When I was at my dad's house, he reported me as missing! Sorry but there is no law saying I have to be at my house for any reason. The first time was because I was at his house, it was late and I didn't feel like cleaning up the back of my pickup! Two different policemen came in two different vehicles. He was calmed down by then. When they got there they talked to us seperately. We both had the same to say, and said everything was over. One of the police officers (the one that talked to me) recommended that I leaved. I was never forced to. I said yes, and he gave me a ride home. I didn't have much to drink, but didn't want to risk getting a DUI. This guy is the Sgt. for our county! He is after his ass hardcore. He called me once about pressing charges, then I ran into him again at a gas station. He said if I testified I could put him in prison for life. What were the charges? He tried to kill me two new years ago. Him and another friend came bashing on my door at about 2:45 on new years day. I was stone cold sober at the time (I had 4 beers that night, and fell asleep before the ball had dropped). I let them in while half asleep. i said well, since it's New Years did you at least bring some beer. He started punching me when I was sitting down! I got two black eyes, two skull fractures, a broken nose, and a broken eye socket. The last time he tried to swing at me he missed and hit my wall, witting a stud. Then he tried to snap my neck. At that point my friend pulled him off, he stole a pack of smokes and left. Did I press charges? No. Why? Various reasons. One is I knew he had committed assault at least 6 counts of assault in the past maybe 18 months. Only one he got convicted of. He was originally charged with terroristic threats and strangulation. It was dropped to mutual combat. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but I think he was only in there for 21. Here's another crux. He happens to be a very good friend with the lead investigator of this county! He has his personal cell #, was friends with him on FB, and this guy has even dropped off game meat to his house when he was hunting. What's wrong with this picture? But there's more! He's gotten off of 3 DUI's without a written warning. I was with him TWICE! Both times he was breathilized. One time he blew a . 133 (.08 is the limit here). Another time he somehow passed. He was drinking ...

Why are people stuck in relationships that are basically roommate's you pay bills with?

Good question. If they have kids, they stay together for the kids. Others because one pays the bills. Maybe their are bined to "till death do us part". My father was a very abusive alcoholic. I don't think I saw the guy sober one time in my first 20 years of life. I take that back. He was when he was in rehab. It was either jail or inpatient treatment. He decided to go to rehab. My mom and dad are still married, but they live in two different houses. I asked my mother once why she stayed with him after all these years (they've been married for 35 years). She said I didn't realize it was that bad. But when it WAS bad she should have moved on. She was married twice before, and those marriges were bad (she even lied about one - only reason I know is because my sister found divorce papers to prove it - I didn't believe). I think she stayed with my dad because he pays almost all her bills (even for her house). She gets a whopping $666/mo from Social security. That'd be hard to live on. Why my dad didn't leave is because he is socially inept. It's very hard for even me to talk to him! Plus she'd probably get half his stuff. I never asked him, but I'm sure he had some sort of prenump that was signed. I know for fact the my mom isn't in his will. My sister and I get half of everything. I know I got on a tangent, but it pertains. The loveless sexless part was definetely there in my parents life. I think the last time they slept in a bed together was maybe 30 years ago. Even when they lived together they didn't sleep in the same bed. I've already given you some guesses about their relationship, and some probably pertain to the couples you know. That's why I never want to get married. I want someone to be with me for me, but because a piece of paper says so. A distant cousin of mine went through a divorce. People that know him don't know exactly why they did get the divorce. All I do know is that one night my former business partner and him were somewhere in Central Nebraska. On the way back to Eastern Nebraska, they stopped at every bar on the way and got a 6 pack. The next day he was served papers. I have heard that he lost half of everything, and he said that divorce was the best $100,000 he ever spent. My business partner said once that he should have stayed with her because (insert her dads name) has money. On a similar note, some people would have no place to stay. I had two former friends that dated, and as far as I know still do. They are in an abusive relationship. She has left his house I think 3 or 4 times. He makes the money. It was 2 or 3 fridays ago at about 10 PM when I got a knock on my door. I knew it was him. I was surprised to see his ex and her son there. The first words were "oh shit". She said "yeah the whore is back". I wasn't...

Others have moved far away, and I talk to them occasionally. Making new friends is tough in your 30's. I mean true friends. For the last few years, I have befriended some felons. I've seen this a long time ago. First you would need probably two tax stamps to get it. It's an SBR, AND select. The US version that are planning on releasing has 2 16" barrens and is semi-auto. It has two triggers, so it's not considered a "machine gun". The ATF says you don't need a tax stamp if one round is fired per pull of the trigger. That's why bumpfire is legal in most states. I'm not too worried about this causing lots of death in the US. First people that can afford a rifle like this (even the legal US version) don't tend to be criminals. I did get an estimate once for the heck of it. I want to say they are like 4-5K, but I don't think the final price has been set. If you wanted to do a mass shooting, you can buy a cheap AR-15, or semiautomatic shotgun for about $300. But I agree, there is not any realistic reason for a civilian to own one. It'd be fun to shoot, but about it. I know a lot of people say they are good for home defense, but there are far better options.

LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIPS - DO THEY WORK?

In my personal experience, no. My long distance relationships mean 45 minutes to an hour drive. But in all fairness, none were good fits, and I would have dumped the last 3 if I was within walking distance. If you have to drive all the time, and they never drive, that's a bad sign (unless they have a very good reason). A girl I went to High School with and I were talking constanty on facebook (I accidentlly added her). She lives 5 or 6 hours from me. I think we could have worked that out, because I think she would have been a good partner. But I blew it the last time she was around here. We both wanted to meet up, and I tried waiting till the last minute to try and be cool and not sound desperate. I told her one morning I would take her out for brunch. She was leaving in a couple hours. Oops. Look at how great the long distance relationship is going with the president and first lady. lol She doesn't even want to hold hands in public. lol All jokes aside, they can work. For example Jeff Hanneman was constantly on tour. His wife Kathy was only on tour once with him. Kathy was his HS sweetheart that he married. They were still married when he died, and as far as I know, his only wife. Most famous people dump their wives for supermodels. He didn't. He had said something along the lines of when he got off tour his wife would be "fresh". I'm also mentioning this because you said you need a physical contact daily. I know people that need to be with each other 24/7. That's not usually good. Read my post about abusive relationships. They never can go anywhere without each other. Best of Luck, Mike

Not most of these, but I think Eddie Van Halen is good. Clapton never played the famous riff on Layla. Andy LaRoque isn't on there. Listen to the solo for the song Cold By At The Gates. He did it with one guitar, but it sounds like he is playing two. I saw him live with King Diamond. Jeff Hanneman was good, Andre from Blind Guardian is good (and he is a very nice person), Herman Li is fantastic (also very cool), Jeff Loomis is great (but kind of a jerk), Zakk Wylde is great. There are so many great players that aren't even on this list! I encourage everyone to join my group "GUITARS ONLY!". As of right now there are 3 members including me. Only two posts. Both are from me. EDIT: How could I forget Jon Nödtveidt? Listen to Where Dead Angles Lie, or Nights Blood. I don't know how he did lead and vocals. He was an evil person, but boy could he make that guitar sing!

Yes I believe it comes from insecurity or a lack of happyness. You have a car that is broken down all the time an another guy has a brand new sports car. They think that person has it so much better. What you don't know is he owes 100K on that car on a 5 year loan. Yours is paid off and the repairs are very minor. In a relationship when someone gets jealous of their partner going out, or accuses them on cheating, or needs to know where they are at all times, it's usually because the person accusing the other is the cheater. They might both be. Either it's social control which is a lack of self-esteem.

Thank you everyone for the replies. Especially from those of you that told personal experiences! I've studied sociology in college. I also have a confession. I had a 99.9% educated guess. Now it's about 99.99%. I knew he was adopted, and abused (so he claims). She claimed she had an abusive childhood as well. The co-dependence, lowering ones self-esteem, monetary problems, and no place to live are great points! I avoid these two like the plague. But in a village of 600 people, you run into people you don't want to see. I think this has to do more with social control than anything. I have never met one of her friends. Ever. That's probably part of it. The guy comes bashing on my door in the middle of the night. Sounds like a SWAT team is trying to break in. I know it's him, but eventually end up answering. These two BOTH went to prison for meth! I know he has relapsed a few times. The last time he showed up was Friday. He came bashing on my door around 10 PM. I asked what do you want (insert name here). I opened the door and I thought it was just him. No his GF and son. I said something like "oh Christ". She said "yeah the whore is back in town". She thought I was talking about her. No, I was shocked they were back together. I think both are overly masochistic. She and him blamed ME for the last time they broke up! I knew she was going to break up with him. She came to my house one day sobbing. No I have no sexaul interest in her, nor have I ever tried to make a pass. Going back to what lots were saying, It's either monetary support. When she came over she also accused me of calling HUD on her. Until last friday I had no idea she was under a government program for housing! Her son said that we only have a few things so we can leave if we have to. She might have lost her apartment, since she claimed someone said she two residences. Now the guy makes more money, and I think her only source of income is child support. Sorry for making this so long. I get the theories, but can't wrap my head around it!

You will read two different creation stories. What's worse is that there was a commite that voted on what's on there! That book, at best is just exagerations of events that happened. Wow. This isn't as bad as the president wanting to let people with mental illnesses get firearms! CCW is useless for the most part. You can get a CCW permit in some states! In Nebraska you cant. You have to spend money, 8 hours, couple hours at the range, etc. Nebraska is an open carry state. I could walk up and down the street with a Browning 50 cal. As long as I don't theaten anyone. If you have a CCW, you can't take it in a lot of places. Banks and bars are two.

Damn, I'm trying to think of a good example, but when I think about it, I think of another song that they had played on the radio. Define "one hit wonder". EDIT: Radar Love by Golden Earing. It just depends on what country you are in. Some are popular europe, but in the US they play one song occasionally.

First, and foremost thank you for your service! I enlisted in 2007. I tried to re-enlist recently, but can't pass the MEPS due to medical problems. Soldiers are trained to protect people. Teachers aren't. They are paid to TEACH! My Father served from 1965-1971. I was three years old when I was taught how to fire a rifle. No, not a Davy Crockett story. It was a Marlin single shot . 22 LR rifle. Here's a good idea... how about we give homeless vets a JOB. They are already trained!

Not to one-up you, but I think I have you beat. the last time I was in church was for a funeral. My mom had an aunt that passed. I never met her, didn't know of her, but they needed a paul bearer. I got suckered into doing it. I was in the front row, and the preist had made some speal about how people did not come back to church because they "weren't invited". Then went on to say that everyone was invited. During the speach I couldn't stop staring at his "fish hat". I was in the front row laughing my ass off! Tried to refrain from laughing. Couldn't help it. Even giggled carrying the coffin, I giggled. Am I evil? Yes I fucking am!

I was an atheist, but now I'm spiritual. Now that that is out of the way, when I was, I lost the love of my life over it. My former roomate (who is an athiest) had disclosed to another I was. He mentioned it to a friend (which I specifically told him not to bring it up). She was a devout Catholic, and I wish I could have told her on my own time, when the time was right. Her beauty wasn't only external, but was the biggest caring, sweetheart I've ever met. She never directly told me that that was what it was about, but I'm 99% sure. Religon in itself can mess up a relationship in many ways. My mother is devout, and was married to two Muslims previous to my father. My sister was engagued to a Muslim, and she converted to Islam. My mom wouldn't say what was going on, but said she was going to cut her out of the will. My dad was the one that told me. I asked why the wedding was called off, my sister, and mom said nothing. Different religions don't usually mix in a relationship. One of the reasons why I signed up here is to meet women, and not be shocked by my lack of religion. Oh, AND WELCOME!

But it is extremely sad that my friend that has lived in Canada all his life pays more attention to American politics than most Americans. I first picked up piano when I was young (not physically, they are heavy). Then I played sax in HS. I was maybe 19 or 20 when I got a guitar. I think my piano lessons made my love for metal that is based on classical. Nothing better. I try to offer FREE lessons to young musicians, but they are ambitious at first then gave up. I myself have tried to start bands, but no one had the ambition I did. I myself have mostly given up (one reason is I need to get my guitar tec to restring). People ask me to play, then they never listen. Music means a lot to me, but most people don't share the same passion. I have 4 guitars here, every one has at least one broken string (due to my aggressive playing style), and although I like to play, just seems meaningless. They are just expensive wall-hangers at this point, but I'd like to get back into it.

It's Sunday, and that's supposedly a day of prayer, but I much prefer the way these guys do mass.
