I've tried that. Doesn't work. I understand your altruism, but it's like a water drip torture. One or two drops doesn't bother you. However, after a while it will make you go mad! I know how it sucks to live on min wage. They could get a job at a gas station, or fast food joint... Not dogging on anyone that has a job. But, yes, it's the uppers that push them.

@Storybook Yeah, one was from a "government official" saying that I had a warrant for my arrest. Said I rented a car in Texas, they found 20# of cocaine in the car, money laundering, and fraud. I asked for a government ID #. She gave me one, and a case number. The court house was closed, so I called 911. I wanted to clear it up. A Sherrif called me back. No such warrant. I don't mess with those types of activites. Period! And I have not been to Texas in probably 25 years! I got pulled over for a broken tail light about a week later. First thing they do is check for warrants. The officer just told me to go home, and fix the light. I've got MANY claiming they are from the government. One claimed that they owed me money! The government isn't going to track you down to give you money!

That doesn't work. I get lots of call from 402-615-XXXX numbers. They change it, or cracked into that number. When I call back, it is almost always disconnected. Literally about 99% of the time. The 1% is a wrong number.

I was working a job where we had no breaks, not even a lunch break. Most companies will give you 2 15 minute breaks, and a 30 minute to an hour lunch. I was not allowed to leave the premises at all. Someone stole my lunch once, and I was mad because I couldn't go anywhere! A friend said you need 2 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. I told him that unless you are in manufacturing, they don't have to give you a break of any type (manufacturing you have to give them a 30 minute lunch for this state). He argued about this for a while. Guess what? I talked to the Department of Labor previous to this conversation! I gave him the phone number, and he didn't want to call and be proven wrong. Another example is about weight restrictions in CMV's. A) this other guy doesn't have a CDL. B) Never driven one. One night he claimed that the most you can haul is 85.5K. No. With a cheater and tandem (6 axles) you can go 90K. 7 axles is 95K. My plates were for 44 tones. I knew he was full of shit (for some reason the county doesn't have 45 ton). With a seasonal overweight (don't have to apply for if a farmer), you can go 107,500 with 7. This is what I was refering to.

Nothing really surprises me any more. You have different firearms for different applications. If you just want to go rabbit hunting for rabbit stew, you're probably going to want to use a .22 LR or a .17 HMR. If you want to hunt deer, you'd probably use a 30-30, 30-06, or 270. None of the hunting rifles I have ever seen were semiauto. Either bolt or lever. If you want to hunt something like a moose, you might want a 300 winchester. I know I went on a tangent, but "it's my right" is BS!

I think the op was originally about books like in English class. But common core is a joke. When someone first told me about it, thought he was pulling my leg when he said his daughter was taught it. Then another guy said his granddaughter was being taught it. They are taught 5 + 7 = 10. I kind of get what they are getting at, I do 5 +5 in my head then add two. I know the answer is 12, not 10. @malayang-isipan Thanks man! I try to help. Worst thing you'd be out is a few moments of your time. If you meet someone, I'd recommend something simple like grabbing a cup of coffee. You can talk to them, in a public place. Anyone can be anyone on the internet! If you are traditional, you're really only out a cup of coffee, and if you two don't hit it off, it's only 15-30 minutes. If you decide to go out again, maybe take them to a nice, quiet dinner. Not a bar, not a dance club, not at a bonfire or grill with your buddies. Some place you can talk one on one, and get to know each other. Best advice I can give. No "Netflix and chill". You need to be able to trust the person before you go to their house (or yours) before that happens. Plus you won't be able to talk to them.

It's not practical for anyone to really have. Maybe if you are a rich gun collector that wants to show it off to your buddies at the range. Even the AR-15 isn't very practical. But they are cheap. For hunting, you are only allowed 5 rds. The 30 rd standard rd mag is a no-no. For a home invasion you shouldn't need more than 5-10. That's assuming you are a bad shot.
