IMO, living according to inner truth provides daily fuel, inspiration, and connection that supports survival. At least for me. And that's why I support spirituality or the lack, etc. as a matter of personal choice. Not surprisingly, I was fine co-existing with people who were different, since feeling we would all likely be different if inspired deep/from introspection/personal life lessons/learning and reasoning/ a combo of all factors. It's really the misfortune of being near to those who use religion to control others and pervert their well-being for profit and abuse that has driven the push to meet those who are humanist/agnostic/disbelieving/atheist, etc. and spiritual but not religious. I'm more interested in trading up into circles with tolerance and compatibility than dating
