The DNC just announced that the next debate will have Bernie and Biden seated, while also there will be audience ?s instead of all the ?s from moderators. Undoubtedly, it's all to protect Biden and hide his dementia. His new nickname should be Hidin' Biden....I think it may be too late and Bernie missed his last chance to go after Biden in a debate. The April debate will also undoubtedly be rigged to protect Biden. It's not just this clip. In South Carolina a week or so ago, Biden said that he was running for the Senate, not the presidency. He also referred to the upcoming primary as Super Thursday, not Super Tuesday. Small things do matter when they make you look out of it. Those of us old enough to remember Reagan and how demented he seemed in the 80s (and it turned out we were right, he had dementia even in his first term) are going to notice this and think twice about electing another demented old person.

Identity politics is bad for our democracy because it encourages tribalism, which is making our political choices too much on whether a candidate is part of our "tribe" by being gay, the same gender or race, etc. My prime example in the US is all the black voters, mainly older blacks, who voted for Biden on Tue., mainly because Biden was Obama's VP, so these blacks transferred their loyalty to Biden, even tho Biden's record does not show great loyalty or alliance towards blacks on policy. But tribalism trumps policy and character in this case. Same thing four years ago with blacks who voted for Hillary in the primaries only because her husband Bill was popular with blacks. I used to sing in choirs all during my school years and nowadays I get my singing fix at karaoke shows. Joining a choir might work for most, but I am very picky about what kinds of music I want to sing, the same as most of us are particular about what types of sermons or programs we would want to listen to. For me, joining a choir would have to be one that only performed pop or rock music, like in that movie Young At Heart, about the choir for senior citizens. Since that is never going to happen in Iowa, even in my local area of Des Moines, I am done with choirs. I have no desire to spend my time rehearsing and performing music that bores or does not interest me, while all the while having no say in the selection of music for the choir, which is how almost all of them operate anyway....

@RoboGraham I agree. Right now Trump is threatening that in a general election he would beat Bernie over the head with red-baiting him, but I don't think that would work either. It's kind of like what the establishment did with Nader, who, like Bernie, is a squeaky clean boy scout, that they have to label him as a kook, eccentric, or a commie, because they've got nothing else, esp. if his policies are popular with most Americans, which they are. The American people are progressive enough on policy to vote for Bernie, it's the media and party leadership that are not progressive at all on Bernie's issues. The people seem to be waking up to this on some level. I also want to comment on WallStreet Pete..... What an asshole.. He loses to Bernie by over 20 points and yet he spends the majority of his post-caucus speech bashing Bernie. This smarmy, arrogant, little twerp has no class whatsoever, and, after his debate performance acting like an ass towards Klobuchar, I think people will start to see that about him...

@RoboGraham They can try, but I don't think it will stick or work, esp. with young people. The young are beyond caring about labels. They know they are up against a rigged economy and system, so they will support whoever is willing to fight for them, regardless of labels.

I think the reports about the Russians are pushing Bernie is just propaganda from the DNC, the corporate media, and/or the Trump campaign because they want to smear Bernie with that combined with the label of him as a communist. I am optimistic that it will not work, because most people have become very suspicious about these kind of accusations ever since Hillary tried to blame her loss four years ago on Russian interference rather than her own faults and unpopularity for being corrupt and dishonest...
