Tomfoolery33 comments on Aug 8, 2018:
It's hard to be 100% happy. But seriously, I had something similar happen to me, and I thought I had every reason to be completely content. Turns out, my marriage was failing, and I was completely oblivious to it. I don't know if you're married or not, but my point is, something was happening below my level of awareness. I hope that's not the case with you. Maybe, as @AMGT says, it's dopamine, which would be easier to fix.

Tomfoolery33 comments on Aug 7, 2018:
I had that problem with paragraphs a while back and figured it out, but right now I can't remember what I did. In your post earlier when you said it was "told" rather than "shown", I think you were right. If it were me, I'd try to show the events in a different way. Maybe not use the omniscient narrator? Maybe tell it from one of the character's point of view? Something. The story itself is good though. Does that help?

Interesting thoughts about "modern" art. And if words are the medium that works for you, then use them, and you will not be cut off from the world of artful expression. Paint with your words. There are way too many to list, but I think it's true that lyrics reflect the times and what people are going through and experiencing at the moment.
