Good question. Have you tried meditation? I know it sounds trite, but it does help with a sense of proportion. You can learn to let go of your thoughts for a while, and relax into yourself. I struggle with perfectionism to certain degree, but I also have defeatism, so that when being perfect is too overwhelming, I say fuck it and forget it.
