Tony Walker is my actual name (not an anonymous handle). I am a human services professional currently working as a residential counselor in a facility that provides housing for adults with severe and persistent mental illness and a history of chronic homelessness. I am also a full time student majoring is sociology and psychology. My career goals include becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Qualified Mental Health Professional. In my work, over many years and counseling hundreds of clients, I realized that there is only one functional difference between mental illness and religious belief. That difference is that religious belief is socially acceptable and mental illness is not. In all other ways they are exactly the same.
