@kenriley, @Closeted GMO’s are very safe and in widespread use. I have GMO roundup ready alfalfa and would not consider going back to the non GMO alfalfa. GMO’s reduce the need for chemicals and give the alfalfa a better chance.

@kenriley It generally only make them resistant to certain chemicals like roundup or 2-4D and Dicamba which gives them a leg up in the battle against the weeds and reduces the need for tillage. Without GMO’s I doubt there would be much no-till farming.

@kenriley What’s wrong with GMO’s? They reduce the use of chemicals and give crops more of a chance against insects and weeds GMO’s are very common and widespread. If we ban them it will have a huge impact on agriculture.
