WHAT EXACTLY ARE GREENHOUSE GASES, ANYWAY?
wordywalt comments on Jan 17, 2019:
Simply put, greenhouse gases are carbon-based gases. These gases simply reflect heat radiating from the earth back to the earth. That is why they are called greenhouse gases. They have the same effect as a greenhouse.
Triphid replies on Jan 17, 2019:
@gsiamne If I remember my science correctly Nitrous Oxide is a gas released from the combustion in an Internal Combustion engine using mainly fossil based fuels like petrol ( gas to the Americans) it can also be made by humans as well but in scientifically based experiments and in factories. Nitrous Oxide, aka Laughing Gas, is also a form of mild anesthetic but it is still expelled by the body back into the atmosphere eventually as a GHG.

Triphid replies on Jan 17, 2019:
@Robecology I only ever read books, etc, written by RECOGNISED Experts and Recognised Archaeologists when reading about history, especially Ancient History. In the late 90s my daughter and I were invited by both the Egyptian Government and Zahi Hawass to come to Egypt and donate, personally, a small black stone statue of Bastet ( the Cat Elemental Guardian, not a God as so ordered by the Catholic Church btw) that bore inscriptions on it stating the name and ranks carried by Imhotep, Grand Vizier to King Djoser, Designer and Architect of the Pyramids of Djoser, Much Beloved Friend of Djoser, Healer to All and Bringer of Great Medical Knowledge to the Peoples. That statue was purchased by my paternal Great Great Grandfather in Cairo after the Battle of the Nile between the Navy of Napoleon and the British Navy under Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, it has been proven conclusively to be 100% the genuine article and now sits in a glass enclosed case in the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Cairo bearing a brass plaque stating that it was returned and donated by my daughter, Lorrae. Over many years I learned to decipher, read and translate Egyptian Hieroglyphics and, as Zahi himself said, I have the uncanny ability to put my mind into the mindset of those who lived when such things were written. I can also read and translate other ancient languages such Aramaic, Cuneiform, etc, from the Middle Eastern regions and, at present, working on Mayan, Aztec and Incan as well.

Triphid replies on Jan 17, 2019:
Sorry to burst your bubble my dear Sir, BUT, if you are such a ' serious scholar of King Tutankhamun and his father then you'd know the King Tuts' father was actually called AKHENATON, NOT Ankhsenaton. Tuts' wife and Queen was called Ankhesenamun, she bore 3 still born children in total, 2 sons and a daughter. The Egyptian ANKH symbol does NOT represent the Sun, that is represented by the Solar Disc usually placed between either the 2 feathers on the Queens' Crown or as a disc on the crowns of statues of Ra and Sekhmet. In all fact the ANKH symbol represent Life, both mortal and Everlasting. King Akhenaton was NOT subjected to 'trepanation' in any way, shape or form, he presumably was poisoned by a trusted servant whilst still ruling Egypt from his palace complex in the city he ordered built called Akhetaton ( now known as Armana)or the Place where the Aton ( Sun Disc) rises in the East. Recent scientific and medical studies show strongly that Tut died from a fracture to the femur near the knee joint caused by a blow from a war-hammer like object when he led the raid on the Mitanni Fortress and thus killed the Mitanni King and his son as well.

The Semitic Peoples/Nations ( of which the Hebrews and Arabs are ALL one btw), call them what you will, have been at each others throats in their petty little tribal feuds/battles since time immemorial. In my honest opinion, I doubt if they could even agree on the colour of SHIT let alone anything else. But, as TRUE history shows the lands now called Israel NEVER existed prior to the Balfour Plan in 1947-1948 WHEN the TRUE owners, the Palestinians were evicted, forcibly from their homes to create Israel. Like the bible, etc, etc, the Torah is nothing more than a compilation of LIES created to give the well known belligerent and hostile Hebrews an excuse and alibi for their incessant wars and raids upon their fellow neighbours.

@Redheadedgammy That bit about " never questioning a priest" truly sucks BIG time because those predatory bastards hide behind things like that just as cockroaches hide in the darkness and cupboards, to me, they are BOTH VERMIN. When I was just over 10 years old, I was sodomised by 3 devout Catholic males, all of them supposedly lay-preachers or whatever, they issued threats of death to my father and sister should I ever tell anyone what they'd done. Just after my 18th Birthday I was riding my motorbike home one evening from an outback pub when ahead of me I saw a utility hit a ditch beside the road and saw it slowly burst into flames before I got there, the driver trapped inside was one of my 'assailants' and impulse made me try to get him out, but it was to no avail, the Fire Brigade arrived, as did the police and ambulance, the ambulance crew treated the burns to my hands ( luckily they were only somewhat slight) and I was told that I had tried to do a very brave thing and not to blame myself for being unsuccessful. to my mind it was One down to natural justice. Two years later, whilst doing my nursing training the second was found dead, shot by his own hand with a suicide note stating that " he could no longer live with the guilt of his actions," then a month or so later I was rostered to "special care" a patient who was in the final stages of cancer to his entire genitals as well as having it have spread elsewhere. Yes, I performed my nursing duties 100% correctly and with compassion and caring BUT during one of the moments when he was awake and aware I quietly reminded him of who I was and what he had done to me then I asked the Ward Sister could I be relieved from that duty telling her that I was feeling quite unwell. I had 3 rostered days off from duties after that, returned to work, was placed back on ward duties in another ward due to a staff shortage there and on the next shift we learned that the patient had passed away during the night begging for forgiveness but never saying what he had done to be begging such forgiveness. Though thoughts of revenge had crossed my mind, I never sought to act upon them since it would go completely against my nature and my oath as a Nurse. I just accepted that somewhere, some how, natural justice had stepped in instead.
Hypothetically speaking...

Believe it or not, But I used to wear a kaftan around the place in my younger days, a very nicely made one, a deep saffron coloured knee length one, I ever wore it regularly on my Honda 750 motorbike when out and about and often went 'commando' under it as well. Wonderfully cooling to the 'vital' parts in the summer heat, a bit nippy in winter though. If I knew where to get one at a reasonable price these days I'd wear one again, no probs.

That'd only be fair wouldn't it, considering that the Non-Indigenous appear to see the places special to people who are NOT like them as being completely WORTHLESS. I heard a different version from my Dad. An Aussie and a Yank were lost in the Sahara with only a camel to ride on, the came across an oasis and decided to stop and get a drink. Both drank their fill but the camel wouldn't drink so the Yank grabbed a long stick and shoved it into the camel's arse-hole, the camel bellowed loudly and ran off into the desert. The Aussie grabbed the stick, told the Yank to bend over with his back towards him. The Yank yelled," But I'm not thirsty anymore, so what's with the stick?" " It'll help you get up enough speed to catch up with camel you dopey mongrel," the Aussie replied.
