@Betty Yes and where once there WAS just me and 2 good friends who provided me any necessary transport at even the oddest of hours, the little "group" has "expanded" in the last, almost 19 months now to having 6 Certified Volunteer Counsellors on hand and working a Roster System, 2 on-call volunteer vehicles with 4 volunteer drivers and the biggest surprise of ALL, Government Funding which includes Exemptions from ALL Taxes, vehicle up-keep, fuel costs and insurances, etc, and went each vehicle reached the 300,000 kilometre Working Life Limit it gets REPLACED by the Government, FREE of Charge within 2 months. The Funding from the Government is a kind of PRIVATE thing because IF the similar Church Operated Services were to discover it then, to quote our sponsor in the Government who moved for it and got it awarded to us on a 99 years basis, "They'd come down like a plague of Locusts crying POVERTY and Persecution until the cows came home, I want THIS Community Service to stay EXACTLY as it, FREE to ALL in need, no matter the Creed, Colour, etc, for as long as possible WITHOUT the Interferences and the interferences and meddling of Religion, Politics, etc, etc, this service grew from Love, Care and Kindness, rare commodities in this day and age, it DESERVES to Live, Thrive and spread across the world."

According to my medical records, at 7 months old I SHOULD have died from a very severe bout of pneumonia, against 12 months later it tried again and kept trying until was around 8 years old, then, as every boy did back in those days, I rode my home-made billy-car down the steepest hill available, went at full speed UNDER a truck and has 3 ribs crushed BUT still survived. Move on a few more years, I walked around for almost a week with my infected appendix leaking in to my abdomen before collapsing in agony, my Dad was told by the Surgeon that, " If this lad survives the Operation and lives through the night it will be 100%, 24 carat miracle. According to the Doctor on duty I asked for breakfast at about 7.00 am the next morning with a grin on my face. After that things got a wee bit "easier" but that is another story for later.

Blood tests while in the hospital revealed that I was ALMOST borderline anaemic, BUT instead of having to take a very lengthy course, 4 -6 months of Iron Supplements, etc, I was PRESCRIBED 1 Fefol tablets every morning for the next 2 months and 1 medium sized glass of Coopers Stout, a 1 shandey of 1/3 Stout to at least 2 thirds Lemonade EVERY second night for the rest of my life. According to the Head Clinician Stout helps to re-build the iron levels in the body faster than any medication does.

It seems that life is getting quite tough for Priests these days, thankfully.

And, trust me, I have now seen and BEEN STRUCK firmly and severely by the "light of mine own stupidity and thinking myself to invincible." Along with recovering as fully as possible from this set-back, my INTENTION is to get my weight DOWN to between 100 and 90 kilos asap and KEEP it that way. I quit smoking 11 months and 2 weeks ago, a VERY VERY heavy smoker, it is a damned hard thing to do but /i started using the c Champix tablets, a 2 month treatment regime, BUT after just 6 days quit completely and have not looked back. Thank you, only wish I was in the same condition as I was last Saturday evening. Some residual weaknesses on my right hand side, there is a benefit to be had by being BORN as a Leftie, but consensus is that it may well disappear completely in a few weeks or a month. Orders are that I MUST lose at least 25 kilos of excess weight since I am approx.12-15 kilos overweight, the Doctor ordered me to QUIT smoking and looked extremely angry when I started laughing UNTIL an Intern told him that I had quit smoking Completely 11 months and 2 weeks ago. First time EVER I have received an APOLOGY from a Doctor, wish I had it on film for the archives.

@MaryChristmas You should have read some of truly unbelievable spelling, grammatic, etc, etc, ERRORS committed on the Medical Report/s made by the Doctors who were in charge of me since early Monday morning. For example, when did they start writing Temperature as "Themperature," Patient as "Paytent," "Phone" as " Fhone" and a persons gender as being "Mail" and not "Male" just mention a few BLATANT errors now enshrined in my medical records for all time until I drop off the perch. I have 2 PhDs, 1 ThD and 5 Bachelor Degrees and I am 68 years old, my nephew is 8 years , in Primary school and he can read, write and spell better than the DOCTORS who wrote on my Medical Records in last few days from early Monday morning until late Wednesday afternoon.

@Garban Well for starters ACCORDING to Ancient Egyptian Mythology, Osiris was MURDERED by his brother Set ( Seth) who then hacked his body, that of of Osiris into 7 separate pieces, i.e. 2 legs, 2 arm, the torso, the head and the heart, hid them in separate places and Horus, son of Osiris and Isis then battled Set, defeated and gave Set the Ultimatum of either revealing where the pieces of Osiris were or having his soul (Ka) devoured by the Eater of Souls.
