@Lilac-JadeCanada Ours aren't quite at the "Killers" stage as yet but some do get a bit on the destructive side from time to time, especially during September and October. Way back in September 1971 we had one dose of winds that really did some harm, one in particular no-one who lived n the street will ever forget. A little, name Susie Milne, about 6 years ld, was living next door to my house ( it belonged to my parents at the time), she went to the toilet, it was an outside one in those days, supposedly settled down to see to the business when up came a roaring gust of wind, lifted the toilet completely off its foundations, blew into the backyard of the house on the other side of Susie's home, leaving Susie sitting there looking like a stunned Plover with the water from the pipe leading to the cistern spraying everywhere. The toilet was built from a 4" x 2" timber frame and structure with corrugated iron sheeting nailed to it and the whole was bolted into a concrete base block.
Flipping heck, it sure is a bit on the windy side out there today.

Triphid replies on Sep 20, 2021:
@Paul4747 Yes, but first we'd need to work out exactly HOW to "beam" electrical energy down to Receiving Stations on earth and then get out to everyone WITHOUT losing any voltage, amperage, etc, etc. Nikola Tesla worked on a similar idea, but NOT with the as yet, Unimagined/Invented Solar Panels and did NOT quite succeed unfortunately. And yes, Solar Powered Electricity Generation and Storage does have its drawbacks but, imo, nowhere as many or a environmentally harmful and damaging as does either Fossil Generation or Nuclear Reactor Generation. During over-cast or rainy weather, the output of Domestic Solar Panels does reduce by approx. 35-50+% that is WHY most people remain on the Grids as their prime back-up system.

Triphid replies on Sep 20, 2021:
@Paul4747 Well there are Solar Storage Battery Systems available and around this way MOST who have Solar Panels fitted STILL maintain their connections to the Power Grid as well. Yes, when the sun goes down the reaction in the Solar Panels ceases, but by no MEAMS does any form of Electrical Energy ever slow down or slow down the workings of something UNLESS it is operated SOLELY by battery power, i.e. an old fashioned cassette player running on 1.5 volt "D" sized Batteries in series WILL slow down as the BATTERY charges expire, but anything driven by either 110, 240 or whatever else Mains Grid Voltage does go into slow-down if there is an overload on the Grid or you are using Solar panels.

FYI, IF one has Solar Panels here in Australia then one can sell the power generated to the Electricity Supplier but the amount YOU receive IS ONLY a small percentage of what it is then re-sold for by them via their Grid System. You buy and pay for the Panels, their installation onto your roof or whatever, the connection into your home, the converter equipment to take from D.C. current to A.C. current and boost it to 240volts hence YOU own the panels and any electricity YOU produce by using your panels and the light from the sun, WHICH btw, No-one OWNS as YET. But hey, give them time and some money-grubbing Yank Consortium will find a way to lay claim to the Sun and start charging everyone for the usage of its light and heat.

Their PLAN, to Clean up the City streets.

Triphid replies on Sep 15, 2021:
Taoism, Native American Belief ( actually a Philosophical system of thinking and Living in fact), etc, are NOT classified as a Religious Belief System EXCEPT by the Religious Belief Systems themselves. Like Atheism, they too are a Philosophic Though system just as was the Buddhist system when it first became known. Modern Religions ALWAYS seek to DEFINE everything that does NOT fit neatly in to their little system as being a System of Belief that requires the follower to hold to there being numerous FALSE Gods, Deities, etc, etc, BECAUSE it, in their tiny minds, JUSTIFIES completely the ARROGANCE of their own beliefs.

THEY are the ONLY peoples EVER to actually GAIN from the Racist Abolition Movements they have created, NOT those of Non-European Skin Tones or colourings btw. For EVERY so-proclaimed CHANGE that occurs, these, Bleeding-Heart Snowflake Salespersons make more and more money seeking out MORE and String to add to their imaginary War-Bows and more and more so-imagine slights and slurs that their deluded and duped Donors are SUPPOSEDLY affronted with. For numerous years I worked with Australian Indigenous children in a nearby Public Primary School as a Voluntary, Assistant Literacy and Numeracy Tutor. I also had an equal number of students who were either of White Caucasian heritage, Asian, S. E. Asian and a few of Africa heritage as well. It toakes approx. 2-3 weeks of 2 hour classes 3 times per week to figure out which children are eager to learn and which are NOT, sadly, the majority of those NOT eager or willing to learn are those mainly from either Indigenous Australia or African heritage. I put it all down to, particularly with the Indigenous Australian Children, that the attitude to learn these children develop is a direct result of the attitudes/s that their parent show towards learning, teaching their child/children, assisting them with learning at home, etc, etc. I have had Students arrive at school for a lesson scheduled for 10.00am, but arrive there 1-2 hours later with excuses such as, Mum and Dad was drinking and partying with the cousins and the rellies ( relatives) last night 'coz it was pension day, they had heaps of grog, got drunk and didn't bother getting me up in time, so I had to get myself off to school," or, " Mum said don't bother with school, you can go on Social Security and get money every fortnight from the Government, let them other blokes work for you and pay to keep you,' even more excuses than as besides but it would take too long to list them all. Unfortunately, here in Australia, there has been what I call, a Governmental Developed " Social Security Hand-outs Mentality" instilled into a big percent of the Indigenous Peoples of Australia as well as, so it seems, the White Caucasians too. The Mentality that says simply, "Why bother learning, why bother working when someone else can do it for you, someone else can pay their taxes and you can get your share of them from the Government.." And that IS NOT being RACIST that, my good Sir, is being 100% FACTUAL.

The Origins, IF one call them that, of the Modern Christian Religion as different from the Beginnings of the Christian Movement came about with the establishment of the Followers of Jesus ( later to be known as the Jesuit Movement) AFTER the Council of Bishops at Nicaea (325 C.E.) ratified and agreed with Emperor Constantine that the Messianic Religion should, A) be recognised throughout the Roman Empire as a legitimate Religion, B) should change its name/title to the Followers of Jesus or the Jesuits, ( distinct from the later Jesuits of the Roman Catholic Church of course), C) that the NEW religion SHOULD like all other religions have its OWN set of writings ( scriptures) pertaining to its assumable beginnings and origins, hence it was deemed that the following should occur, D) "UNDER the guidance and command of the Allotted Bishops, a number of select Scribes shall be ORDERED and set about to CREATE using from what-so-ever sources available, a NEW Holy Scripture for the Jesuit Religion. These sources may be from any and ALL other Cultures and Civilisations, Myths, Legends, Folk tales, etc, etc, AND the Pentateuch of these Scriptures MUST be derived from the Hebrew Torah so as to NOT cause ill-feeling with the Hebrews and the Jesuits." - Ordered and Commanded by Emperor Constantine of the Roman Empire, Ides of Martius, Nicaea. In actual and historical fact, the Messianics accompanying Constantine to the Battle for Rome at the Milvian Bridge ACTUALLY persuaded ( blackmailed truth be told) Constantine that " He must tell his Legions that the God of the Messianics had sent him a vision of their Victory by making the marks of the Greek letters, Ki and Rho in the night sky and that IF he failed to do so and DID not agree to legitimise their religion then they would withdraw their support in the battle and he would stand alone with his Legions against his Foe." So, Constantine found himself literally between a Rock and a Hard Place thanks to the shyster dealings of the early Christians.

@BufftonBeotch Hey, I know nothing of your background, life in childhood, etc, etc, BUT let me tell you this please and PERHAPS you may well learn to understand. I was abused as a child from as far back as I can remember by my mother and my 2 older sisters. My mother took great delight in the Physical, Emotional and Sexual Abuse she perpetrated upon me, my older sisters just got their sick kicks from the Physical and Mental Abuses they wrought on me, abuses like thrashing me with leather belts, kicking me, pouring icy cold or hot water over me, etc, I will not go into the horrors inflicted upon me by my mother until I was 16 years old and threatened that should she lay a finger on me ever again I'd knock her to the floor and piss on her face. What was done to that child was MURDER, Brutal and Unrepentant Murder and the Murderer, 14 years old or not should and would have known better, I know I did and I have only EVER laid my hands on another person 3 times in 67years in anger and each time that was in protection of another, never myself. The MYTH of "The Abused becoming the Abusers later in Life" is absolute CRAP and put about MAINLY by Defence Lawyers and their so-called 'Expert Psychologist Witness for the Defence.
