The speed of light ?
Triphid replies on Feb 28, 2021:
@yvilletom No, not really since the Gravitational pull exerted by the Sun on the Earth is counteracted by the distance of the Earth from the Sun and the Centrifugal force the Earth experiences as it orbits the Sun. Centrifugal forces ALWAY force objects to TRY to move OUTWARDS away from the centre and NOT towards the centre, Basis Physic at work there btw. LIGHT travels at approx. 186,000 miles per second, hence it takes, given that 1 Au (Astronomical Unit being the mean distance from the Earth to the Sun btw) is approx. 93,000,000 million miles it takes the light emitted by the Sun approx. 8.325 seconds for it reach the Earth, hence when one views the Sunrise it has already happened approx. 8.325 seconds ago. Me too, I was bullied in Primary School for months until the Scholl Bully and his 2 Followers started on a girl who wore glasses. Skinny as a tooth-pick me against a much bigger heavier built Brute but I remember what I was taught, LET him make the first swing and NEVER let ANGER into it because it becomes his weapon not yours. To cut the story short, he swung first, I ducked, he missed and then I went in and brought him down BIG time. A busted nose, bruised face, 2 Black eyes, split lips and a broken jaw later and he begging for mercy. I walked away with sore and bruised knuckles and dozens of his victims cheering and patting me on my back. A week later and he transferred to another school and was never heard of again. No God, No Jesus, No Praying, just guts, grit and a determination to end his brutal reign.

Replaced the 2 litre Water Pump with one from the 2.4 litre Navara and she never overheated ever again even when towing a 7x4' Box section Trailer loaded down with Firewood on a 110 kilometre trip back to town. Never replace the radiator with a smaller one, ALWAYS go bigger but NOT too much bigger and ALWAYS have it cleaned by a Professional Cleaner BEFORE putting it in. Jeez, I always used a stuff we call 'Gorilla Snot,' aka Aviation Gasket sealant, on the Sump Drainage Plug as well, a bit harder to remove when draining the sump BUT at least you KNOW that the plug will NOT work its way loose at least.

@Ian_Newton Friend I've been an Atheist for almost all my 67 years of life, a Psychologist for well over 25 years, a Child and Youth Counsellor for 25+ years, have 2 PhD's, 1 ThD and 5 Bachelors Degrees and working on my 6th and 7th now. I also have 3 Certificates in Nursing, a current Certificate in First Aid and First Response Trauma response which puts me about 1-2 degrees BELOW the level of being a Paramedic. Being biased against anything except religion/s IS my ONLY bias FYI. And, may one asks WHAT tables, evidences, etc, were actual displayed/shown for anyone to actually peruse?

@James121 Taking photos when everyone is searched BEFORE gong on watch and afterwards as well. Pit #4 IS the ONLY Coal mine on the Illawarra Escarpment that has a 10 feet high Chain-wire Mesh Fence encircling it, more floodlights than a maximum Security Prison and guards patrolling both outside and inside the fence PLUS 2 guards at the entrance-way into the Pit, 2 more at the entrance to Level 17 and 4 more patrolling the excavated object. In 1978-79 when I was there you WERE required to SIGN the Secrecy Act, change from your uniform into a WHITE boiler suit and take NOTHING of a personal nature down with you NOT even your meals. You did 3 hours on Level 17, 3 hours at the Level Entrance and 2 hours at the Pit Entrance for every shift.

Well, I'd say both a Yes and No to some of your comments here. Since some docos and books are, more often than not, FACT based, though some are somewhat biased on occasions as well, many. many more are very reliable and often true. As to visitation s from Extra-terrestrial Beings, well now, I worked in the Commonwealth Police for 4 years under secondment to another Government Department know as A.S.I.S. There is an 'object' in Level 17 of Pit 4 in the Illawarra Escarpment that has been guarded 24/7 x 365 around the clock since it was uncovered by Coal Miners in 1956. Level 17 IS one of the richest Coal seams in Australia and has been dated back to the Cambrian Epoch of Earth History btw, so that tells how old the layer/seam is. I have actually seen it, as have everyone who was/is ROSTERED to guard it, it IS NOT natural in shape, size or of known materials, has no entrances visible and NO support structures holding it in place either. It is approx. 3 metres in length, 2.5 metres in width and 1.89 metres in height as well, very very shiny on the exterior and looks very much like a tear drop in shape.
ok, this is gonna stir in some problematic commentary and divide the opinions, but i'll say it.
