An interesting read on morality among atheists...
Triphid comments on Mar 9, 2019:
Atheists, for the majority of us, are kind, caring, decent and helpful people NOT because they are obsessed with gaining a ' better position' beside their 'god' after they've died BUT because we instinctively know that doing such things IS the correct, decent, moral and human thing to do.

" Cliff Richard and the Shadows," what a frigging joke, without the Shadows backing him up that smug, self-righteous dip-shit Richard would have been a nothing. As soon as he gained popularity, totally undue btw, he shit all over the Shadows by turning his back on them.

What part of the bible is that in???

It isn't in the "Goat-herders Guide to the Galaxy" but it bloody well should be along with, " Thou, as a man of God or any other person, shalt NOT ever Sexually or in any other way cause abuse to children, women or men." - Humanicus, 1:01

Well, the narrator was barking up the wrong tree when he stated that Australia did NOT have copper or tin. 100% WRONG, we have large deposits of both BUT the Australian Aboriginals never truly advanced beyond the level/point of being stone age based, seasonal nomadic tribes/clans, THAT is why, mainly, there was no historical period of the Bronze Age in Australia.

Triphid comments on Mar 7, 2019:
To me, that is sickening stereo-typing to say the least. I was 'adopted' by Australian Aboriginal rite and lore with the agreement of my father when I was 13 years old by a very well respected and old Aboriginal friend and his wife. Jack and Mary, my adoptive Aboriginal parents, had 2 sons and a daughter and ONE major rule in their household, NO Alcohol what-so-ever which both boys broke and were consequently asked to leave the family, young Virginia, " GinGin" as she called herself as a child, is a very brilliant, clever and highly intelligent person who, despite the hassles, etc, etc, has gained numerous degrees in Science and now holds a very prestigious position in a Scientific Research Organisation here in Australia. My sister still calls herself Gin-Gin and still calls me the albino Brolga, the brolga being a native bird and known as the 'native companion' btw. Both Jack and Mary decided to give me the name Brolga because, like the bird, I had long, skinny legs and was always shuffling them around similar to how the birds 'dance.' No matter the skin coloration or ethnicity, there should be NO precise little 'boxes' for anyone to made fit into, we can and SHOULD be allowed to strive for and reach our OWN fullest potential.

Many relationships just don't work out. What's a reason you've ended a relationship?
Triphid comments on Mar 7, 2019:
Marriage No.1, ended because she wandered off with a Kangaroo Shooter, no loss to me me, she was a brutal, violent person, Marriage No.2, I caught her playing away twice, the first time I forgave her, the second, I followed them, the same bloke again, found them in his car in the 'act,' and drove a screwdriver into his tyres and when finally arrived home, told her to pack up her lying, cheating arse and get the "f*** out of my life permanently.

Well now that really started my day off with a smile, just like yesterday when the local very snobbish, highly self-righteous, " I'm Mr. Perfect " in his very expensive tailor-made suit bent over in the main street to pick up his 'man-bag' and succeeded in splitting his trousers from fly to back waistband wide open, revealing for all to see, his pair of ' Care Bear' boxer shorts underneath. Of course all 10 of us sitting around and talking held our laughter until he had recovered and walked away, NOT.

When plants are exposed to mutagenic radiation it's considered natural (and the plant considered ...
Triphid comments on Mar 6, 2019:
Every living thing on this planet is exposed to radiation of one form or another every second of its life. Ambient radiation is a normal thing, it comes from the sun, the minerals in the ground, the EMR ( Electro-magnetic Radiation) from the electricity supply running through homes and city streets, the EMR waves to and from radios, televisions, your mobile/cells phones, it IS everywhere and unless you seal yourself in a chamber of solid lead lined walls, etc, you are absorbing it as regular as you breathe. So why NOT let it work for us in increasing the food production and preservation of such foods instead of against it?
I encourage clients not to define “having sex” as intercourse, since there are so many paths to ...
Triphid comments on Mar 6, 2019:
Brings back memories of when my Dad decided that, at 13 years of age, I needed the old ' birds and bees' talk from him. He went through whole script slowly and steadily then came to the bit about actual sexual intercourse until I butted in with " That's okay Dad, I've already done that bit with Rob Wilmores' 16 year old sister, she invited me into her bedroom while I was waiting for Rob and their parents to come home, she was naked and asked me to have a nooky ( sex) with her because she'd had the 'hots' for me for months and months." My Dad very nearly fell of his seat at that, then he simply said, " Well why did you let me go through all that other stuff in the first place anyway?" When my daughter was born I made it a determination that when she was growing up I'd answer any questions she asked openly, honestly and in words and language she could comprehend at what ever age she was at the time, no 'birds and bees' bullshit just the facts. She started asking about how and where babies were from at about 7 years old, so I told her in words suitable for a child her age not thinking though that her being a somewhat of a precosious chatterbox she might decide to pass her new found knowledge onto other kids at school, which she did. Within a week the 'news' from Lorrae had spread through the entire school and I was summoned to a 'chat' with the Principal, a very much epitome of the 'dinosaur' class of Principals I might add. I sat through an ear-bashing of " Why should you teach such a thing to a child, do you not realise the harm you could have done to her and the other children, etc, etc." I simply responded with, " If my child asks me a question, I answer with the facts, truth and honesty in words she can comprehend, not by gilding the lily and destroying any credibility I have with her when she later discovers the truth, after all, is that NOT what a proper, decent parent SHOULD do? I then got up and calmly walked out of the office and heard absolutely nothing from then on except numerous other parents thanking me for weeks afterwards for saving them the difficult task of having to explain the subject to their own children and making their kids aware of themselves and their bodies, etc.

It is a better than good probability given that innumerable old and ancient cultures/civilisations have numerous legends referring to 'visitors' that arrived/descended from the skies. A couple of prime and thus far unexplained example are, a ) a map drawn centuries before the earliest circumnavigation depicting the curvature of the earth complete with ALL the continents including accurately, and from a height well above low-earth orbit level, b) a steel like pillar in the mid -East/ Asian region that does NOT rust or decay in any way, c) and close to my home, in Australia, Aboriginal legends of i) the Wandjina who came from the night skies wearing strange head wear ( spiky helmet like things), ii) the legend of what we call the Evening Star being a people/persons from the night sky and brought children with hair the colour of the red sand and dust to the aboriginals ( the same hair colour that often occurs randomly amongst the purest of aboriginals to this day btw) iii) the legend that the "Min-Min" lights, (discs of light, whiter and brighter than ANYTHING man-made), that float with ease across the ground about 3-5 feet above it are the peoples from the sky coming to take the unwary back to the skies with them. Almost every culture from older/ancient times past and even in the last 1,000+ years has had legends of sky beings, so are they ALL wrong?

I was raised and grew up in a household where it was Atheist ( my Dad) versus Theist ( my mother) with the Theist continually trying to force her beliefs on everyone, including my Dad. Of my 2 eldest sisters, one went totally Anglican at first then just turned to drinking and screwed up her whole family, the second turned Catholic to get married and became a self-righteous, arrogant type who also screwed up her family with her religiousness, then there is me, stuck to my guns, stayed Atheist, married twice and was stupid enough, both times, to marry a 'faithfool' got bashed by the first until she wandered off with a drunkard Kangaroo Shooter, then ended up marrying her own Brother-in -Law ( her sisters husband) and drank her self to death, the second, a closet Lutheran, who couldn't manage to keep her legs closed to any man and ended up getting told to leave, my younger sister who also turned Catholic, eventually screwed up her family and then turned to living with a Drug Addict and now completely ignores her own children. I'd really like, one day, to find an Atheist woman that will accept me for who I am and see what life and love can really be like.

Triphid comments on Mar 2, 2019:
Oh shit the clinging son bit, I'd have jumped ship as well, actually I did that in my last short relationship for precisely that reason plus the son thought he was a superman' and decided to force me to fight him, I detest violence btw, I let him keep pushing until I could take no more and accepted his challenge. He sure as hell won't forget that fight in a hurry, he took the first swing and missed, after that it was a 3 hit fight, I hit him, he hit the ground and his mother hit the high 'C' screaming that I'd knocked her precious little baby arse over tit. I later discovered from some friends that her 'precious little baby' had been sacked from 3 previous jobs for bullying in the workplace especially with older workers and female staff members.

This must be the right place to ask this question.
Triphid comments on Mar 1, 2019:
Well considering that for humans to have been 'designed' in the first place implies that there must have been a Great and Intelligent Designer involved then I perceive that you are possibly thinking that there may have been a 'God-like' hand in the matter somewhere. However, since humans arose from much earlier ancestral hominid species, early ape-like species in particular, who were actually quadrupedal ( walking on all fours) the musculature of the buttocks, the Glutei, were relatively small and not protrusive ergo, passing faeces meant simply that the waste would be expelled mostly without contacting the surrounding skin or hair/fur. Once the earlier Homids started to stand erect and become bipedal the Glutei then become more and more involved with the act of bipedal locomotion and thus grew larger, expanding to what we have today, i.e butt/arse cheeks, that need to be spread apart to facilitate defecation. With early hominids body odours, etc, would have been the 'norm' and not overly noticeable since everyone would have smelled the same, but as we, Homo Sapiens become more communal and self-aware we would have begun to notice these things, found them somewhat offensive and, voila, in comes the necessity for removing any waste matter trapped in the residual hair around the anus. Therefore, hygiene would have arrived and arse wiping after defecation rather than wandering with shit dags dangling from ones arse attracting flies, etc, and using available chunks of greenery, leaves, etc, would have the primary solution UNTIL some very bright spark came along and discovered that using softer materials such as sponges, bits of old cloth/skins,etc was better than greenery until actual paper was invented. Evolution does NOT seem to plan or design, it merely takes advantage of an adaption/mutation that gives a significant advantage to one individual/s over the rest and that becomes the next norm and the beat goes on and on until the next advantageous adaption/mutation comes along. I have also often wondered myself, HOW did the earliest female humans cope with the regular 'flows' of menstrual fluids and the waste blood, etc, from after giving birth before such things as Sanitary Napkins, etc, were invented.
Go ahead, look it up...

We have a very old saying here in Aussie that applies to all politicians, "Those mongrels couldn't even manage to lie straight in bed."

I've got the whole soundtrack of 'Tommy' on cd still, love the music.
It's a small gesture that can have a huge impact. ???
Triphid comments on Feb 24, 2019:
Well I definitely made that happen today, just as I do ever Sunday, because the ladies at the Take-Away Shop where I get my Sunday Lunch each Sunday have to actually PAY for their lunch whilst working, so I usually make extra the night before and deliver it to them the next morning.
Control yourself, ladies.

Hey, the BIG up-side is, IF he's so much a Xstrian, then he most likely HASN"T yet bred any of his ilk which means there are at least a few less 'bible-thumpers' around the world.
Pretty close to accurate....

Yep, I'm the same but add in the fact that we are also far too bloody HONEST as well.

I've only EVER had 2 actually physical fights in my life, the first was with the school Bully in primary school who thought he could bully everyone, including the girls and new kids, until one day he started on a little girl who had just changed to the school from another, she was very tiny, petite, same age as me ( 11 years old) and wore glasses. My Dad always told that " If you have to fight then fight for the rights of someone else, not yourself, and make certain you down your opponent BUT let the opponent take the first swing at you." I challenged the Bully, we met in the park next door to the school that afternoon after school finished, his bully mates were restrained by the crowd and we went one on one, me, all skinny and about 7 stone of me and him a good 3 inches taller and about 1-2 stone heavier. He swung the first punch, which somehow I managed to duck, and then, as told by the crowd, I turned into a human windmill with fists flying left and right. It took 2 teachers to get me off of him as he lay on the ground looking very battered, bruised and crying his eyes out, begging for mercy. I'm by no means proud of myself nor the fight but seeing him dragged up before the ENTIRE school the next morning with 2 black eyes, a split lip and bruises a very nice shade of red and purple, and the School Headmaster firmly INSTRUCTING him and his bully friends to APOLOGISE to EVERYONE in the school, including the Teachers, and then being told that they'd ALL receive a punishment of collecting rubbish from around the school grounds from then on until they left the school and started their time in Secondary School a year later at which their dismal records would also be known and make public to the students there. As for me, I got sent to the school First Aid room to get my bandaged hands re-bandaged then a very quiet rest in the same room for two periods before being allowed back to classes.
Control yourself, ladies.

Not trying to be insulting, etc, here, BUT, I'm a very Hetero person and as we'd say down here in Australia, " This galah has more tickets on himself than there'd ever be on the floor of a Betting Shop after the end of the last race."

I heard on the radio that the average American uses three rolls of toilet paper a week.
Triphid comments on Feb 22, 2019:
Bloody heck, that's a LOT of paper, I go through about 1 roll per week, I live alone and am very fastidious about wiping my arse clean after I've sent another politician sailing down the River Stinx.
