@Fit50something So, imo, you'd, perhaps, cringe, quiver, hiding in a corner and tell yourself "not my problem" rather than stand up for what is right? In my opinion there is NOT all that much separating Fundamentalist Islam from Fascism Nazi style or Soviet/Chinese style Communism. The sole aim IS to dominate everyone, make us live as their subjects, live by their religious rules and religious laws and NOTHING else. Personally, IF standing up and wearing a 'target' means I'm fighting for the rights and freedoms of my fellow Non-Muslims then so be it, bring it on Mussie Fundies, you'll find that I will NOT go silently into the night, I will NOT surrender without a fight.

Ending subsidies to the Oil Companies, imo, would be a GREAT boost to the environment, the alterative energy researchers/producers as well making the Oil Producers more competitive thus lowering their already over-inflated pump prices. Of course those with Stock Portfolios/Shares in the Oil Companies will take a hit BUT they will also have an out of sorts in that they can re-invest monies into Renewable Energy Sources, etc. As the old saying goes, " What you lose on the roundabout you can pick up again on the swings." And, personally, IF I were an American I'd be voting for Biden over tRump any day since his well proven handling of the Pandemic has been less than dismal, one can even saying irresponsible, criminal and idiotic to say the very least. 200, 000 Americans are dead thus far, more are sickening as I write and WHAT do we hear tRump saying, " We have it beaten, it is lessen, look at me I'm immune."

How will that be carried out exactly?
Triphid replies on Oct 23, 2020:
Well for starters and in my opinion, the first step would be to EDUCATE males from an early age that WOMEN are NOT merely SEX Objects, DO NOT need nor want unwarranted, sexual attentions, etc, etc, of males, women do NOT dress as if expecting to become either Rape victims or a quick pick-up for a One Night Stand, Women deserve to be respected for THEMSELVES and NOT just for the genitalia between their legs nor their breast, etc, etc. AND, just as important, MEN/Males must learn and be taught THAT they MUST control their hormonal urges, PLUS that ALL the crap in the Bible about Rape, etc, is nothing more than, i) mythologies created by the ancient Hebrew Leaders to incite and condone the actions of the Hebrews when they were at their most belligerent and hostile of states in those ancient times, ii) the bible IS one of biggest books of Misogynism/Misogynistic works ever written by man and NOT by any God/s/Deity/Deities as it so, falsely claims to be. So, my fellow MALES of this world, take the first step, STOP thinking with your One Eyed Trouser Snake for a change and make this world as much safer place for the females of our species.

My favourite was the 1943 model YB33, single cylinder, 500cc B.S.A. that I completely restored from 2 trailer loads of 'basket-case' pieces bought for $200. She had a dome-headed cast metal piston , a compression ratio of 12 to 1, needed a mix of AAA racing fuel and Super Grade Petrol ( 3 parts Petrol, 1 part Racing Fuel), a decompression lever on the side of the frame, the gear shift was on the fuel tank and the 'get up and go' of a race horse on steroids. If had the spare money I'd be riding another bike today but this time one with a sidecar, less chance of going arse over turkey...LOL.

Lol, most of the trains used ONLY stopped at Peterborough, S.A., Pt.Augusta, S.A. and then, finally, at the yards in Perth, W.A. If you don't mind I'd like to clear up a couple of things here. 1) Even though the Goat-herders Guide to the Galaxy (bible) states that the Hebrews were slaves in Egypt for approx. 400 years, ACTUAL SLAVERY was illegal in Ancient Egypt under the Rule of Ma-at, the Law of Universal Harmony. A system of Bonded Servitude was allowable ONLY in circumstances where a debt was incurred and the debtor could work for the Creditor as a servant UNTIL the amount of the debt was repaid and ONLY for that length of time. 2) There was no person named 'Moses' in Ancient Egypt ever recorded, there was a Moshem/Moseh, Leader of a Group of Hebrew Mercenaries who hired themselves out to the Egyptian King, Seti the First, as guards at the Egyptian Border near thee where the Suez Canal now is. Moshem/Moseh and his followers and their families, a total of 600+ NOT the 6,000+ as claimed in the bible btw, were EXPELLED from Egypt for crimes including Slave Trading, Extortion, Arson, Murdering Traders, Rape, Pillage and Sedition. Since Ancient Egyptian Laws had no punishments that could be used to execute so-called 'foreigners' Seti, instead ordered their permanent expulsion from his lands and declared them as 'Enemies of Egypt.'
As an atheist, i've been thinking about this for a while now.

@snytiger6 Yes and more than a possibility given the Australian Aboriginal tribes who once lived by the coastlines tell a story of the sea rising up to swallow the lands where they once hunted and fished. Plus, when they were cutting the Sydney Harbour Tunnel they discovered, to their amazement, that running right through most of the harbour was a very ancient, very thick layer of river silt and mud following the course of a very large river that flowed out to sea from the mainland. Tests conducted on samples of the silt showed that it was lain down around the same time as the end of the last ice-age which coincides with the same aboriginal legends.

@Heavykevy1985 But, those who choose to ignore the things from the past are often the ones who will continue to repeat them. Yes, Islamic Fundamentalism is cruel, brutal, sadistic, etc, etc, but where did it first learn these things from? Since Islam arose some 3-400 years AFTER Christianity and Christianity set about persecuting Islam with the Crusades, etc, etc, I tend to think that, perhaps, some of cruelty and brutality of the Crusades and the like thus twisting those 'lessons' to suit their own ends. Plus, imo, there are still many fundamentalist Christians roaming around that may not have all that many qualms should it come about that they can re-institute the 'old ways' of persecuting others like us and what they perceive as being 'False' beliefs/believers.

I used to give myself 2x half days off every second week and rely on 2 others who are qualified, retire Counselors BUT as of next week the service will now have 2 more 'stand-by' Counselors as well, like me ALL volunteers.

@Willow_Wisp It was pretty much like as you say BUT with the added 'Christian Twist' imposed by the 'Holy Roman Empire' that Christians were FORBIDDEN to enter into trade, etc, with Non-Christians and doing so would result in either Excommunication or punishment by Death. That "Christian Twist' literally cut off the trade between Vikings/Norse peoples and the rest of the Christian world until King Harold Blue-Tooth decided to get baptised for the sake of his people, thus re-opening the trades with Christians. A very much similar scenario occurred with the 'invasion' of the Holy Roman Empire in places like England, Ireland, Scotland, etc, etc, down through the years and in some places is still happening in some Third World countries as well, i.e. a sort of Catholic style ultimatum of " Convert and Thrive, fail to convert and starve."

But moves are afoot after a chat session last evening to see if we can 'expand' our little service, since it has been a totally non-religious, secular idea from the very beginning, to encompass other towns and communities in our region first and then expand it slowly as far across the nation as possible. We had great support and input from a Police Representative, an e-mail, most unexpected btw, from our local Member of the State Government who is fully behind us and will assist us to gain funding, etc, to expand our little service since, in his opinion, a certain Nationwide Counseling Service, once know to be semi-secular, seems to have back-slid and is now and often, sadly, using itself as a forum for preaching rather than helping, etc. But atm, we are staying local but ARE always available to others in the region and our contact number are widely known thanks to the Police Service in the region.
