Good points ! I like to use a FB meme I saw a while back, saying : Since humans began , they have created over 4000 gods. And for each one, there were/are people who believed in them absolutely, without any doubt. That alone proves to me that man created god(s), not the other way around ...
Triphid replies on Dec 27, 2019:
I don't mean to be pedantic here my friend BUT your total of Gods/Deities created by humans since they first evolved and became somewhat aware is missing at least 2 zeros given that the Hindu Religion alone contains approx. 30,000 Gods/Goddesses both major and minor ones. And if one were to include, logically, the Saints that Catholics have then their 'pantheon' would not contain merely the 3 of the 'Trinity' but a sum of approx. 2,000+ Demi-gods at least. It would not stretching it to say that Homo Sapiens have created/invented at least 2.5 million gods/deities approx. in the years that we have been around.

Under normal circumstances I would have "gone on the offensive" but Isaac was patently becoming quite stressed out and very emotionally upset so instead I continued to usher him into my house. though I have put a terse letter in the mailbox of that Evangeloon's house informing him of my intent to e-mail a record of his outrageous behavior and blatant racist remarks to the Anti-Discrimination Board in N.S.W. on Isaac's behalf and mine.

@Gwendolyn2018 No, not in any way at all. In actual fact I know and am good friends with many women who are either my age or older and they are in excellent 'shape' given the ravages of time, etc. Yet I know many younger women, much, much younger in fact, for the sake of an example, If they were a car then any Insurance Company would class them as being a Complete and Total Write-Off mostly due to the fact that they have ' used and abused' to an extreme extent both the inner workings and the outer body as well. Personally, I much prefer to look directly at the face and eyes of anyone I'm talking to, etc, be they male or female, rather than to scan/ogle the body as ever so many other men appear to do.

@twill The majority of Christians, it seems, thrive upon screaming 'Persecution' at every possible opportunity they can find or imagine. But they never have been truly persecuted, even way back in the days of Ancient Rome BECAUSE the Romans did NOT seek to persecute those whom they conquered for their 'non-Roman' systems of belief, many 'non-Roman' belief systems and Deities were actually adopted and adapted into the Roman Pantheon, Mithras, Isis, Osiris, etc, etc, to name but a very few. There were NO episodes of 'Christians' being fed to lions, crucified in the Arenas, etc, even the myth of Peter being crucified upside down was contrived in fact, all this 'persecution' was contrived as an attempt to get the populace on their side and to make the populace become a part of their 'new' religion.

@FrayedBear Mate, I doubt that the 'Susie' experience could ever be told accurately in a movie. No actress could manage to have the look on her face that Susie had when we first spotted her. It took the best part of 3 days before Susie actually uttered a word after it happened or to stop crying as well. Now days she lives in town, has 3 great kids and every time there's a hint of a Willi-Willi within miles of her she flatly refuses to go out side or let anyone open a door until it has passed by. The movie, "Twister" was pretty good SFX wise but could never come within Coooee of what Susie went through in my opinion. Last time I was up at Kars, about 12 years ago, the foundation posts of the Long-Drop Dunny were still there with the twisted and broken off, now rusty remnants of the 1" thick bolts that held the Dunny to them still in place along with the hand-made wooden seat over the hole in the ground.

@WonderWartHog99 Actually my daughter and I were invited to be guests of the Cherokee People on the Reservation in Oklahoma in January, 1998 after researching our family history and my contacting them to resolve a few questions we had. We actually got to meet our long lost Cherokee relatives/cousins, were accepted Officially by Cherokee Lore into the Nation and through the ceremonies of Sweat Lodges and Animal Spirit Guide Searches, etc, were given our Cherokee Tribal names. Plus we also discovered that we also have a familial connection with the Navajo Nation as well so we were invited to their Reservation and accepted into the Nation as Navajo people and given our Navajo names, which I choose NOT to tell you since you are definitely NOT either Navajo nor Cherokee in my opinion.

@genessa Are not Islam and Christianity more concerned with the Death of the members and what happens AFTER Death than how they live since a Christian, for example can commit sins, confess those sins, gain Divine Forgiveness, sin again, confess again, be forgiven again in a seemingly endless cycle BUT when death comes they will automatically get a ring-side seat in Heaven. Very similar, imho, to what the Hebrew God told the 'chosen Hebrews' to do when they arrived in the lands of such Heathen, Pagan Non-Believers as the Canaanites, etc, i.e. go out and put them, men, women and children to the sword in my Name, spare none but the Virgins and take them unto thy selves. And yet that self-same God commanded to Moses just 40 Generations before " Thou shalt Not Kill." Are not the present day Jews doing almost precisely the same, as did their ancestors, on the Traditional Owners of the lands they now occupy and call Israel when such a land called Israel NEVER existed in history UNTIL the Balfour Accord of 1947-48?

@WonderWartHog99 FYI, ALL Aboriginal Sacred sites are deemed to be protected both by Australian Law and Aboriginal Lore as well, hence NO-ONE of Aboriginal Origin, no matter small their 'blood heritage' can reveal where such sites are. Now, is it ALL possible that you can understand that tiny bit of information? Btw, my familial Cherokee Ancestry dates way back to the mid-16th Century when my Welsh Ancestor, Royston Stanley and 2 of his crew members were on a Trading Expedition to the East Coast of Nth. America and were stranded on what is now the Carolina Coast after a Spanish Galleon attacked and sank their Trading Ship. To cut a somewhat long short, they headed inland and came across a group of Indian males attacking 3 females, they killed 4 of the Attackers and took 2 captive, the women took them to meet their tribe, one of the women was the daughter of the High Chief, Grey Bear Claw, of the Cherokee Nation. After a little over 2 years of living with the Cherokee peoples, Grey Bear Claw permitted Royston Stanley and his daughter 'Singing Bird' to wed under Cherokee Lore and the rest of the story is family history. Royston Stanley, who last name IS the same as mine was my Great, Great Grandfather, many times removed by the way, a Ship Owner and Captain from the Glamorgan region of Wales also from precisely where my Great Grandfather was born and my Grandfather who later moved to Australia where my Father, Stanley Royston was born in 1905.

I.e., to my mind and therefore it matters not how bad/terrible you wrong, so long as you beg forgiveness then you will be okay to do it again and again, continue to confess over and over and when you die, you WILL get a Ring-side seat in Heaven/Paradise.

@MsDemeanour Nearest 'beach' is just over 520 kilometres from Broken Hill, though we DID ONCE have a nice fresh water sort of beach about 120 kilometres from here UNTIL successive Governments allowed the Menindee Lakes Water Storage Scheme, fed by the Darling River, to become nothing more dried out, dead dust-bowls caused by permitting the Cotton and Rice Growers around Bourke and further north to literally suck the river dry. As for the temp. out here, well it's summer but this year the heat is far worse than I can remember. Used to that December was tolerable, heat -wise, and the worst of it hit in January and February but in the last few years it started getting much hotter, much earlier and for much longer each year. Around here, like almost everywhere else in Australia, it is a dry as a Dead Nun's nasty, everything that was once covered with native grasses and scrub is now brown and dead, even the trees along the creeks are struggling, the highway sides are littered with skeletons of 'roos, emus, etc, as are the paddocks, etc. But hey, how are this up your way around Brissie ? Here's hoping the Bush-fires don't get that far up and are dealt with very soon for the sakes of the people, properties, animals and, most importantly, the Firies who are battling them 24/7.

@WonderWartHog99 What, just a measly dollar, must be a lot of tight wads in your area in my opinion. Since we don't have 1 dollar bills here, we have metal 1 dollar coins it would be unkind to try filling a ladies G-string since the load would either pull them down or they'd bounce around and bruise or injure her most sensitive parts. As to the 'Lap Dance' offer/reward, well there are still a lot of us Aussie males who learned from our fathers to see women as equals, respect them and ADMIRE them as people rather than as Sex objects to be ogled and stared at. Since most Aussies actually care about our Native Fauna, "putting a Sugar Glider into a Striptease Dancer's Thong" would classed as Animal Abuse and a downright disgusting thing to do, both for the Glider and the Dancer, wouldn't you agree? Since I am part Aboriginal, from your comment regarding my Ancestry, to which I took some offence btw on their behalf, they managed this land ecologically well for over 30,000 years, they were Seasonal Nomadic People moving from area to area following the rain cycles, the seasonal growth, etc, of plants, they could tell and often predict when and where the rains would come simply by watching the skies, the behaviours of animals, etc, the position of the sunrise and sunset at certain times of the year, they created/made circles from small and manageable stones and rocks that aligned with the sunrise/set as well corelating them with the movement of what we now call the Milky Way. So I hope you now SEE that they were just 'dumb, black niggers' as I tend to think you may have been inferring. As for my Native American Indian Ancestors, well they also looked after their country really well UNTIL the Arrogant, Land-grabbing, Self-righteous, Disease-ridden, Europeans came along and forced them to march from the Land of the Blue Smoke Hills, where you are now living and squatting, technically illegally, to the Oklahoma Territories, a march that cost them, my ancestors, over FOUR Thousand INNOCENT lives of Women, Children, Babies, Old Men, etc.

Sekhmet did indeed form the Desert in which Set/Sutek/Seth was to banished after he dismembered his brother, Osiris, she did so at the request of Amun ( Khnum). Which, like the Hebrew Gold Calf, is where the Christian go their tale of Cain Abel from more than likely plus their idea that Satan/Devil has horns ( the erect ears of the Mule depicted on Set), the red skin, since Set ( depicted as being a Mule-Headed man with a deep reddish colored hide) and the numerous other mule like 'attributes' accredited to Satan and Set/Sutek/Seth as well. Though the Christians seemed to have 'conveniently forgotten' that the Rule of Ma'at ( the Law of Universal Harmony) was paramount in Ancient Egypt and NO-ONE could have, own nor be enslaved to another hence there were NO slave used in building either the Pyramids, Temples, etc, they WERE all well cared for, well -respected and well paid Workers. The ONLY circumstance where a person could 'bonded' into a kind of servitude under Ma'at was to pay off a debt owed and the term/length of the servitude was determined by the amount owed and could ONLY last until the Judges deemed the debt to be paid in full.

In actual fact, it was the Catholic Church that deemed and ORDERED that ALL non-Christian systems of 'belief' should be considered to have Gods and Goddesses so as to show how Primitive, Savage, Barbaric, Heathen and Heretical these people they 'conquered and brought to God and Jesus' were and to try and 'justify' the slaughters they committed against the so-called Heathen Heretics. When Jean-Francois Champillion was decoding the Rosetta stone, the reigning Pope sent 2 Cardinals and 3 Bishops to threaten him with Excommunication for his entire family and incarceration for LIFE if he did not show clearly and plainly that the Egyptians were " Heathen Heretics who worshipped FALSE Gods/Goddesses."

@Fernapple Sekhmet, Elemental (NOT Goddess as deemed by the Catholic Church btw) Giver of Dancing, Protector of Young Girls and Unwed Women, Consort of Ra, also known as the Eye of Ra, Nemesis of the Unlawful and sworn enemy of Set/Sutek/Seth the Bringer of Famine, War and Diseases. Always depicted as being a Lioness, a Lioness-head Woman or a very Beautiful and alluring woman. The Elemental Giver of the waters of the Nile was Nepthys, sister of Isis beloved, (since the Ancient Egyptians used the hieroglyph meaning beloved to mean both brother, sister, wife, daughter, son, etc, simply because they had no word/hieroglyph for each of separate words as we do) wife of Osiris. The Ancient Egyptians ALWAYS had only Elemental Givers/Guardians and NOT Gods/Goddesses, that was an attempt by Catholicism to defame the Egyptians, their 'beliefs' and understandings of the natural world around them. You were pretty close to the mark though, congratulations. Sorry, Fernapple, slight brain fog there, have edited and replaced 'Hathor' with the correct name now.

Triphid replies on Dec 20, 2019:
@Storm1752 Actually, according to UNTAINTED Scholars the foundations of Christianity were written by Flavius Josephus in his writings about the " Divine Trinity" i.e. Flavius Vespasian, his son and his Grandson ( The Father, the Son and the Divine Spirit) whereby and from those writings Christianity 'created' their Holy Trinity. Flavius Josephus was originally a turn-coat to his own Hebrew peoples, a slave to the Flavians, granted his freedom and adopted the name 'Flavius' and wrote his "Divine Trinity" to heap praise upon his 'adopted' family and to attempt to have them Deified. Personal/Familial Deification was one of the major things that the Roman Noble families always strove to have endowed upon their family.

E.g. A few hundred years ago, Bishop James Usher correlated the ages of the biblical Patriarchs ( added them all together) and calculated the age of the Earth, at his time, to 4,004 years old and was 'created' approx. at nightfall approx. BEFORE Sunday, October 23rd in the year 4,004 B.C. Ergo and according to Usher, the Earth is now a little over 6,023 years old, which sciences have since proven to absolutely ridiculous BULLSHIT. @DavidLaDeau, @Storm1752 Then that God of his truly has a sick, sadistic will does he not.
"You shouldn't judge people!" I have often heard this from my Christian friends.

@DavidLaDeau Errr, out of curiosity here, have you ever tried lifting an Australian railways sleeper, aka railway tie in America, they are made from the very hardest of hardwoods available in Australia, are about 7" thick, 8' long and 12" wide, they average out at roughly 80 - 90 kilograms each and usually need 2 -3 people to lift and carry them. To actually hammer a nail into one, first you NEED to drill a hole in the wood with a Tungsten tipped drill bit or you'll just spend your time bending nail after nail.
If Jesus saves, why are all of his human representatives alway asking you to give them money?

Jesus has a REALLY expensive coke habit!

@Bn4fE5 Okay just for you and anyone else who might need a laugh at this time of the year. Jesus is getting bored up there in Heaven so he decides to have a bit of a 'Rave Party' to liven things up. After noticing that people on Earth are taking 'substances' to boost their enjoyment, he delegates his Apostles to go to Earth and return with samples of those substances. Peter returns first with a 10 kilo bag of weed, "the best on offer in Mexico, " he claims, John returns with a months supply of Columbias best Coke, Paul hands over a 5 kilo bag of E Pills, and so it goes on until all the Apostles have returned except Judas. Suddenly, there's a loud knocking on the door and voice shouts out, " DEA Officers here, open up, we have a Search Warrent." Jesus gives a huge shrug of his shoulders and yells back, " Fuck you Judas, you've ratted on me again you Scumbag."

Well it seems that Happy Clappy Jesus Chappy has 'deserted the ship' and is taking a 'holiday' overseas while the country burns according to the latest news reports. Nice to know just how much we can depend on our 'Captain' in times of dire troubles, isn't it? At least Emperor Nero had the decency...

@MsDemeanour Yeah, but the Emergency was happening before he left which, imho, say a whole of negatives about him and how much the people and country matter to him.
So coming up to Christmas please tell me Athiests what you think of the Holiday season since you ...

Not much. It's a commercial marketing scam, ripped off from a pagan solstice festival. But the kids enjoy it.

Well, and I do NOT mean this to be disparaging nor sarcastic, etc, we Atheists don't spend the very precious hours of our short lives, and short they are even for Believers as well btw, on our knees or in Church Pews, etc, offering up prayers and gratitudes to something that has ONLY ever existed in...

Have you read his comments made in the Australian papers? Reading them may just change your mind on that one I think, he'd, imho, rate far far worse than Ham could ever manage in a billion life-times.

Too bloody right there, it just cost me about half or more of my fortnightly Pension buying Xmas gifts, most of them for my 6 year old Nephew though, so I don't mind him benefitting at all.

Yeah we do, but sadly the 'odd' Faithfool slips through the cracks, kind of like the do elsewhere, including America.

A merry winter solstice to everyone too. The light returns and the season of new life is on the way. And for our Australian friends, it will cool down soon.
