This is a wonderful video. I struggle with the depression, too, and anxiety, and I agree, it helps to hear and share others' stories as it helps me feel so not alone. I also look for uplifting things like this as they help to reassure me there's goodness in the world.
TristanNuvo replies on Jul 20, 2018:
Thank you :) I'm glad you like the vid. I can't truely express to know there are others out there that have the same feelings. For some reason or other my brain seems to focus on the negative, being it depression or what ever. But I try to fight it as much as possible. And I agree, although it may sound selfish, but when I read, or meet others that have similar aflictions, it as you say, makes me feel like I am not alone. Thank you very much for your input, it means a lot.

Now the long haul towards that big purple T. I know it will take a while, but I will wear that shirt like a badge of honor. But honestly I am most greateful for all the people that I've met since Ijoind that made feel like part of a family. A place that I can not only share my thoughts, but learn from others thoughts that sometimes make me thnk about some things in a different light. This has become a place wrere I feel comfortable, a place where I am getting to the place where I could call home. Thank you for your greeting. :)

Can't you just Walk Out, without looking back?
TristanNuvo replies on Jul 20, 2018:
It's not that simple. yes one can give up their belief, but JW are very strict towards friends and family. I've read from many who came out of their so called beliefs and were shunned by their families, and friends. some of them were told that they would never be allowed to speak to their own families. That is not an easy road for any one to endure. My heart goes out to those that do make that choice, I wish nothing but the best for them.

I highly recommend Joe Rogan's podcast with Megan Phelps Roper. The whole thing is about her deconversion from fundamentalist Christianity to atheism. It's excellent. She and her sister belonged to a church that was highly controlling as well. As a result of both of them leaving, they no longer ...

I've seen the Joe rogan podcast you are talking about, and it really opened my eyes to what the horrors of that cult really are. He had a couple of others that left scientology, but I don't remember their names at the moment. And I am also, and have been a fan of the Atheist Experience for a long time now. quite a few great hosts.of course Matt is the most well known, and I've seen him in many debates. But my favorite is Tracy. She has a compassionat way of showing believers the contradictions in their beliefs. She as far as I've seen, never been rude to anybody.

I've been in that field ever since. But to this day I still have that feeling of what if I would have stayed with my dream of working with NASA. I still follow as much as I can On NASA.com. and i'm a big fan of Elon Musk and space x.

@GipsyOfNewSpain Ah. so yo admit it. You block me yet you tag me in my posts. Very cowardly if you ask me. And I'm not a 'kid' as you put it. I am 54 years old with a Masters in Engineering , and a BA in computer Science. In other words, I am not a newb. And further more. you quoted, 'Maybe that is why I am not interested in what you got to say' yet you continue to comment on what I post. Again I have to respond, you are a simpleton coward with nothing to add in a respectful manor other to imply juvenial insults. Simply pathetic.

TristanNuvo replies on Jul 19, 2018:
@Marionville True enough. I have no problem disagreing on a subject. I welcome your input, sometimes I've had my mind changed by another who has a different opinion to what I think. But I still have to differ about Elon, I still think he is one that wansts to change the world. He could be right, he could be wrong, I can't say for sure. But his influancein progressing towards the fututer has inspired many to do the same. One of my favorite humans on this planet, Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson is A huge fan of his. I don't hold any one to the authority of all that we think. But I do have to give props to those that try to educate, and try to make a difference. I only wish there were more people like that.

TristanNuvo replies on Jul 19, 2018:
@Marionville I do respect your view of him. Every one has their own opinion. But I have to stand my ground on him. To me he is one of the bet inovators of our time. His comany Space x Has surpassed some of NASA's expections of space travle, and with his company Tesla, he's devoped electect cars, and home electricty far beyond what has been devoleped in about a decade or so.. JMHO The only trepidation about him is that he wanrs to change the world over night. And we all know it takes people a long time to adjust to something new.
