What invention doesn't get a lot of attention but has made a huge positive impact on the world?
TristanNuvo comments on Jul 19, 2018:
Homeless shelters.
TristanNuvo replies on Jul 19, 2018:
@Omen6Actual On that I have to agree with you. I've nothing but horrible shit about the salvation army. At Pinellas Hope (that's the place Is am talking about) they take very special care for vets. and people are not all crammed into one big floor. There are little huts, or casidas I think they call them for every one. I'm sorry you had to go to a shit place like that you describe, I wouldn't want to go there either. Oh, and the reason I volunteer there is that after I got out of the hospital i has homeless, and I got to stay here. I litteraly got to get back on my feet. and for that I always try to do my share of helping others.

@Omen6Actual I can't speak for Tampa, but the one I volunteer at is in Clearwater. They do background checks for people that are wanted. There are programs for people with substance and alcohol abuse. There is a classroom to get people to get a GED, there is a computer room for people to apply for benifits, or look for a job. There is a special program for vets. and many other things. and the staff and volunteers treat every one there with courtesy and respect.

TristanNuvo replies on Jul 12, 2018:
@Gareth Oh well, I'll bite to your trolling. As to my feelings about using the correct pronowus, it not because I have a problen I have. The problem I have is that some people go through many terms as want to be called. at this point there are about 50 different pronouns, Am some how I'm just to be psysic to know which title they want to be called. And to be honest I have to elaborate on a few points. I lived with my sister for a while because we had a great understanding Of being to go back to colledge, and Would help her with raising her kids. And I honestly think I did a great job of it. her son (at the time) got along rather well, we had the same taste in music, movies, games and such. After I moved back in Florida I found that Me (mehew) who decided to refew as a woman. And that made now difference to our relationship. We still have the same tast in movies games, movies and such, but I, because will call him by his, or hers name that she wanst to be called. I had the same thing with my niece, we also got along with her from when she was about 4, after a while she went from samantha, to Sam. She identifies as a male. and again, for her/him I will call him for what she wants to have to be called. I honestly love the both of them with all my heart. My problem about pronouns. To me there are about 50 different pronowns of what they want to be called whatever it may be. and to be honest, I'm not psycic, I have now idea what they want to be called. And for the record, I (as like i made a point to make) is that Ill call my neice by the name I use toward her/ him is to call him Sam.. My problem I have is that there are a bajillion pronouns, and I just can't keep up on the correct pronown. I would rather call them by their name rather than lable them.

It's just so much fun to play.

I live in Clearwater. I love it here. it's on the west coast so it's on the Gulf, where that water is warmer, and real clear. It's no too expensive to live here. Well, I'm comparing that to where I used to live which was CT.

@Bigwavedave I agree, we also have dolphins. They love to swim with boats. I've had the pleasure of going sailing with some friends and got to see that in person. Dolphins are not only beautiful animals, but the love to play. I don't even have the words to describe how wonderful it is to see them up close.

Agreed. I have always loved the original S&G version. But I was pleasantly amazed by this performance. I'm not usually into covers because most do it just like the original. But when some one does a cover and put their own flavor to it, it some times works out rather well.

Same here. When I saw the title I wasn't sure what to think because I've always loved the original. I've been a disturbed fan for a long time and I know the pipes David has, but i still wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. I was very surprised at just how well he sang it.

I in my own way kind of agree with you. I am conservitive about some things, yet liberal about others. I don't feel the need to be labled as either.

Aside from my music that I write writing wrat I really go through is kind of theraputic. Also, every so often I get some feedback from some one that knows what I go through. From the bottom of my heart I say thank you for your input. It means a lot to me.:)

At the time when I wrote this i did forget the part of hearing voices. Mostly they tell me things like, You are damaged, you are worthless, you are a burden on other people, you might as well do every one a favor and just end it all, and many things like that. Sometimes they will wake me up in terror. Thinking there is some one in my room with me. It takes a while to shake that off. But at least through some good therapy, I've learned how to minimize that feeling of dread. I realize that I will never be cured, but I do take some solace in that I am willing to try to work on the therapy. It doesn't work all the time, but I have learned some coping skills that help to at least minimalize what I go through. Because I have finally found the right psychiatrist, and therapist, I've been doing a lot better an most things. One of the meds that I take is seriquel, that helps me with the voices, halucinations, and mostly sleep. Although, there are times when even after taking the meds, it still doesn't work, so I will drink a bit. that combined with the meds usually knocks me the fuck out., One thing I have noticed is that when I do actually get some sleep, my symptons lessen a bit. And thank you for the thumbs up an being the 'friendly guy'. but it took me a long set of baby steps to get there. I still have a long way to go, but after a few good results, It helps me to try and progress more. Thank you btw, for your input. It helps me to realize that I am not the only one that goes through this. I wish nothing but the best for you and your ex.

TristanNuvo replies on Jul 7, 2018:
I am truely sorry that you go through that. But in a way I really glad to hear your story. It gives me a sense of I am not alone. I've gone through years of different doctors trying different medications. Its really hard to medicate for schizoaffective disorder, because there are so many things to tacle. Depression, voices, halucinations, major depression, mood swings, insomnia, paranoia, suidal thoughts, and plenty more. I have finally found a psychiatrist, and a good therapist that worked with me a great deal of getting the meds that work the best. some I used to take would work on some things, but not others. I am very aware that there is no cure, and even at best the right meds, and doses help a lot, but even at that trial and error, they only work so well. The only thing I've learned, or decided, was that when I get bad enough, rather that trying to kill myself again, I will seek help, which has helped me many times. I've had to be into the mental ward so far 6 times. even that isn't a cure, but just the fact that I will seek help rather than suicide again gives me a little hope. I can't offer much to you, but I can say I wish the best for you.

In fact there many of lovers that I have been with didn't go so well, but we have grown to be great friends. The comment I made about being alone was a long time awaiting. It took a long time to love my self. as much as I do love to be with my friends, I have learned to make peace with myself, and I love the times that I love to have my time to be alone and enjoy it.
