But what good are they if you can't get the governments to enable them, as they do the bidding for the oligarchs. Expected? Right, we expect our government to do the right things for society. I guess I'll just keep fighting for future generations as you give up, dig in, excepting defeat. I believe our youth deserve a good fight from those of us who excepted to long. Their world should deserve that for our ignorance of not waking up sooner.

@48thRonin land mass is going to shrink with climate change. We have already went over the tipping point of no return, governments refusing to acknowledge this and take actions to slow it down. Large parts of the planet are going to become to hot for human life, also taking vast amounts of farm land. Flooded out or also to hot to grow in. Willingness to accept this for our future families as you seem to be willing to do is not acceptable in my opinion. Quite frankly, that's exactly what got us here.

@Closeted my problem with this is it isn't a news source, or a think tank. It's a group of engineers and architects using their expertise in the field of their background and education. That's rather difficult to claim they have a means to give them a mixed review without expertise analysis to compare with. Who did they refer to to compare findings? That isn't included in their public announcement which I find to be totally unfair suggesting an agenda.

Seriously!?! How does that work? They have a case presently going through the judicial system under a mixed review? They either do or don't have a case presently being represented in the judicial system. It can't be mixed. They may claim the evidence needs to be reviewed, and it most likely will if and when the case continues, in the judicial system. The fact they are willing to put their reputations on the line in court, I'll walk out on the limb with them, for now. And the only evidence this site refers to when attempting to refute their claims is the 9/11 commission. That is fucking ludicrous! One name for you from that commission that should give you major pause. Robert Mueller! Yea, the same Robert Mueller doing the Russiagate investigation. Who has a history of conducting very questionable investigations. And the 9/11 commission is one of the most questioned investigations on the top of his list. Nearly half of those on that commission complained they didn't receive enough time or money to do a proper investigation. Nearly all evidence that went against the government narrative was thrown out and never taken seriously, or received proper handled. That includes personal accounts and samples taken from ground zero. Anything resembling a dissent from the government narrative was basically ignored. Everything else on that site review is rhetoric used to sway people away from searching for truth. Just for shits and giggles I did the 2 polls. It gave me some slight confidence in humans. I think I'm in good company. Although the difference between the 2 polls tells me I or a lot of the people taking the polls didn't quite understand what they were taking. I would think if everyone took both polls they would me more towards an equal ratio. Clearly this is not the case being the bottom polls show a large amount of trust in A&E.

I'm sure many do. Same as with Russia. This is the very reason everyone should have questioned the Russiagate narrative from the start. Every one of the top politicians around the world have some sort of relationship with other national politicians which also stretch into the intelligence and business areas. You simply can't have a sense of diplomacy without that. Outside of the business aspect anyways. But as far as world politics and intelligence issues, it's a must. And it's only obvious due to the corruption these people engage in on a regular basis business will filter into that arena. The Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin episode is a prime example. Since the 80's, who the hell knows how many relationships like that have and are going on between politicians and companies between us and China with all our manufacturing moving over their and the quagmire of social disruption taken place here since that era. Which is why I often claim these countries are most likely all working together to hood wink us all. If you look at the involvement of Russia in Syria, what did they really do to deter death in all those major cities over there? They didn't provide much protection for those citizens in which these historic cities were turned to large mounds of rubble and 100's of thousands were killed. So either Russia has no air defense or to scared to really make a point? Basically, Clinton got her no fly zone without having to declare a no fly zone! So what's in store for Venezuela when shit hits the fan there? I sometimes think Russia is only there to play a part as a double spy on our manufactured enemies.

The only time I know of Venezuelan police using tear gas was during the riots in 2014 that Abby Martin was covering. Is that the video you're talking about? And that wasn't civilians going after aid. That was simply chaos being created by the opposition. In which they then also set fire to food.

All his time in congress and the senate talking the good talk. And when it came time to put it on the line, after we put him above the line, he went establishment. Now he's back to the talk again. I could spend half an hour listing the reasons Sanders gave hints of leading us to betrayal that I overlooked while supporting and advocating for him. And over the months I have listed those issues. It would probably be closer to an hour looking all of it up again though. AOC is going to have to prove herself! She gave those hints right out of the gate. Also having been brought up here since the mid term. No buddy expects anything over night. And they said the same thing about a person who they called a socialist. His name is Bernie Sanders. I was shocked to see the support he got in 2016. And they came from all the labels put on voters. And all ages. And against an establishment MSM that gave him relatively no air time. @48thRonin You have me as giving up. I'm here to speak up and bring the truth out about our government. That is not giving up but a desire to fight what the Pentagon would imagine forcing on us. I'm one of many who think you'll never change that party by tiny doses of infiltrating it. We have over 4 decades of such promises within history. Those that came in 2018 have been seen many times during those 4 decades that have come and gone or become the establishment they spoke against. Continuance in repeating history in my opinion is a sign of the insanity within cognitive dissonance. "And as long as we can stay the fuck out those countries we shouldn’t be that directly effected." Yet Sanders has, as Clinton during the 2016 primary reminded us, voted for invasion and death in all the countries we should never have been in. And today is railing against another with the establishment in the beat towards Venezuela. His spoken preferred method of using drones would be more acceptable to you? Or maybe you're on board with interfering in a democratically elected government with all the false narratives being used to do so? Those countries, as you put it, are those countries due to western interference. Sanders has played a large role in it. Personally, I'm ashamed to have fallen for Sanders bullshit. And it's because I follow so much news and independent sources I was able to see, and feel, the betrayal as he was dealing it out. I thought a lot of the shit being spoken about him in that election cycle was crazy talk, but in the end it all added up. Nader and Hedges called every move made by Sanders in April before the primary almost to a tee. But even they couldn't have seen the very end from the WikiLeaks. But that was Sanders putting an exclamation point on what they did foretell, with his silence, still to this day. Sanders is merely herding the sheep back to the democratic party for the establishment. Good luck with that.

If you have substantial debate material to conduct an intelligent conversation, have at it, I welcome it. But losing your mind on members here is uncalled for. He was on the economic transition team of Bill Clinton then moved to Secretary of Labor. (In addition Reich used the office as a platform for focusing national attention on the need to help American workers to adapt to the new economy.) An economy that's been very radical since the Reagan era, full of recessions and going down hill ever since for workers. He has a long history of working in and with the establishment in at least 4 administrations. He tells a really good story but could never get those administrations to do enough for the people. There's no one person that's going to bring us out of the illusion we're in. It will take a complete party revolution to over turn the 2 corrupt parties.

How US Flooded the World with Psyops https://consortiumnews.com/2017/03/25/how-us-flooded-the-world-with-psyops/ This is the main factor that drove Robert Parry out of MSM to independent journalism. As one of the main journalist that brought light to the Iran-Contra Affair, he faced many pressures to get his articles through his editors. It wasn't until the mid 90's, 94 I think it was, he finally worked his way into an abandoned office after leads and found a grove of files that began tying Reagan and Bush to the controversy to a point he could put out the story. But his editors wouldn't touch it. By this time we're already naming streets and bridges, etc, after Reagan. So he left and created Consortium News in 1995. The first internet news source. Venezuela was led by a tyrant government bowing to western influence. Poverty was at roughly 70%. Some have even stated at or near 90%. Nearly all aspect of living conditions became horrid. Jobs money food water etc. The people finally having enough and revolted with many in the military joining them. While Chavez did turn a lot over to the state to combat corruption, he also left a large part of the private sector to continue. So it isn't all that socialist, it also has a sense of capitalism. And they just can't get enough, the capitalist. And they want to take the country back to what it was before the revolution. Maduro's plan is the same as it was under Chavez. Feed the people and the nation bringing back the lost culture. And he's been doing just that even under the restrictions. But today the real forces of evil are going all out to stop it.

The desk reporters who have managed your perception, false perception at that, use the term "cover" on a daily basis without ever or rarely leaving their place or work. So your attempt to belittle me in this manor only tells me you have no other knowledge to fight with intelligently. Russia has its own agenda I'm sure. But at the moment its more of a legitimate agenda. They're doing so to support their interest rather than steal their oil and gold reserves. I guess you missed the part where I said she's never had to retract any of her work or statements. But then you wouldn't know that because you're ignorant to her work, making your statement useless. Where I'm working off a history of the criminal hoard making the same false statements and false accusations towards a country and its people that have a perpetual war agenda for the benefit of a mere few. Like all the other countries they've invaded over the decades. But I'm guessing the new sources you follow don't educate you to those facts. You came into a forum unarmed and only can share the illusion of rhetoric you've been trained to use. Or you just believe you're entitled to Venezuela's resources also and don't care what happens to the people there. As I said before in so many words. I hope you find it in yourself to educate yourself to the truth, if the truth matters to you. But I'm done wasting my time on what ever type of person you are.

When you get someone unwilling to debate facts it's usually because they suffer from cognitive dissonance. Refusing to go outside of the perception management they've been trapped in. The only other reason would be because they support the ideology of the opposition. But the question now becomes whether that's because they are someone who would benefit under said system, or ignorance. And in Venezuela's case, I'm sure many feel they would benefit if the right opposition was in power. But probably ignorant to the results history has outlined in many cases of what the direction the opposition wishes to take them in as an ending result. Especially within the youth of that movement who have little knowledge of those decades of history. The attacks on you is a show of ignorance, most likely. Unable to attack the message/facts you were attempting to deliver to him with an informative intelligent response. You find this on social media in abundance. Name calling, repetitive rhetoric of talking points with no evidence, misinformation. They can't accept facts that debunk their misinformation. In which they also often received that very same misinformation from MSM they still trust or in a social internet group they follow and blindly carry with them onto comment sections. These types of people have become victims of the perception management the MSM wages over us in the US and other westernize world, at the direction of the establishment politicians and intelligence agencies for the oligarchs ruling over us. This has been acknowledged decades ago as a CIA program to take control over our view of the world. This is a real life chess game in which they are a decade of moves ahead of us. Only people willing to ponder this and step into a different way of finding other alternative news are able to begin to realize this. Which is why I occasionally attempt to get people to tune into RT news to get a different version of a news cycle. FSTV (Free Speech) is another decent view against MSM.

William_Mary replies on Feb 16, 2019:
@Closeted where do we draw the line of comparing immigration? Ask people from there? Let's take Columbia for example. Do you realize over the years Venezuela has taken in millions of Colombians migrating from their now far right government and paramilitary oppressive system? Now receiving the same social benefits as Venezuelan citizens. Want to know the fucked up thing about that? If you do a search for Colombians migrating to Venezuela you get the opposite search results. Why is that? Just recently Maduro had to fight Columbia to allow some citizens to go back to Venezuela. The problem with asking or getting opinions from people from there is, just who are you actually communicating with. Are you even actually communicating with someone from there or been there. If you have spent any time on a social media news source it's very common to get the same results we get from main stream media. You may be communicating with a troll against the government that supports the opposition. Possibly paid to respond negatively to those supporting the government spreading false propaganda. I see this regularly. If that news source is of Latin America there is often a majority of people in support of the government with very few people in opposition trying to spread the one or two rhetoric propaganda talking points who never provide specific details. And when you provide details in your attempt to have a civil discussion it often quickly turns to name calling or no response to the facts we know. As soon as someone comes up and provides some facts in an attempt to learn from these people they either go silent or become aggressive. Homeward social media is based on people who think they know from the propaganda main stream media produce. It's bad enough you can't get a civil discussion from republicans on so many issues, but the media has democratic supporters in the same illusion when it comes to Venezuela. You posted this article in another group, and someone on there believes the false narrative about the elections being, paraphrasing, corrupt. Claiming opposition people were withheld from running in the election. If I remember right, there were over a dozen people who were running for president, some opposition. Only one person was banned from running for breaking a constitutional law. Any opposition parties were duly allowed in the election. This is why it's imperative to keep independent new sources available and write about contradiction parts in articles such as Solon who tends to tow the establishment line. While the article is speaking a sense of truth it's also misleading in other areas. I question everything. Even in my most trusted new sources as you might find in an article I just posted from my favorite site Consortium on Venezuela....

Might have been the one that went back and became president after the invasion? Or some scientist? Went into the WMD's, mobile labs, chemical attacks of the Kurd's, which the media was falsely stating were his own citizens, aluminum tubes for nuclear weapons. I have to admit, not really having gotten into independent news yet, I fell for all of it. But right after shock and all was when I started waking up. That MSNBC I use to watch was stating, if I remember right, a 38% favor for war. Then a day after it shot up to the high 60's. huh!?! 9/11 shit wasn't adding up! This is how we have such acceptance of the fake news and the lies from our government. And it's become worse with social media. The propaganda machine is using social media against us better than we are using it to find the truth! Trump is a bold face liar and does so each day. Yet he still has a strong base!?! Has done relatively nothing for them but they're still there!?! Anyone with any sense knows the democrats rigged their election. But they still have most of their base!?! And no one has raised an eyebrow to that over the fake Russian narrative that was invented to make the rigging go away!?! Not a one of the early candidates have even mentioned it. That's how I know they're all fakes. It's off limits! Orders from the top of the food chain. If the 2020 election cycle goes by without one candidate bringing that up, it will be the shot hear around the country. Our society is blissfully going on with life without a clue that everything around them is a fake reality. And people around the world are suffering and being killed for them to remain in that bliss. Post capitalism? There has to be a sense of capitalism with socialism to balance the market. Create a value if I may. One that isn't designed on manipulation and casino like risks for the most wealthy to take from those that basically donate to the game. Ugly if allowed. Ugly for who? In a wonderful beautiful world we all unite for peace people and planet. But it would depend on the type and amount of politicians in power when the change begins.

I would argue that capitalism and poor political policies provided the outcome of the flood. By this time tax breaks are beginning to kill local, state, and national infrastructure. As the article states, problems were foreseen. Inadequate measures were made probably to cut cost. This can also be related to climate change in which energy companies, namely in the late 60's, Exxon for example, lied and covered up their findings for decades. Our government knew these types of rains were going to become a norm. This is a price society has been paying to give corporations constant tax cuts. It was basically a bailout via insurance this time. Finding the right balance between capitalism and socialism, "communism" as you put it is the key. Right now the balance is only benefiting the very few at the top of the food chain. And those they own. I underscore "those they own". Our politicians.

Be careful what you wish for! How deep into our system is your country's system? What role does your country play in our country's actions? Often tagging right along behind. ("Australia calls for a transition to democracy in Venezuela as soon as possible," Senator Payne said.) Why has Australia, US recognised Venezuela's Opposition Leader Juan Guaido as interim president? https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-01-24/trump-says-venezuelas-opposition-leader-is-interim-president/10745048 Their elections were well observed and found to be better, it not all of, than most in the civilized countries. Finger prints, ID's, multiple system analysis as the elections were taking place, no other country holds a candle to their procedure of providing a fair election. How much more of a fair democracy can one ask for? The opposition asked for elections, they got it. Then at the last moment that very opposition pulled themselves out when they seen the numbers weren't there for them to win. And with a request, or should I say the order, from the westernized world to pull out they did so. Now they want to claim the election was fraudulent because it was held to early!?! Please! So all these countries can gang bang them for their oil and gold by putting in a puppet government ruled by a guy trained in the US. Who very few people actually know in Venezuela. Your country's history quite mirrors ours. Not only does it mirror ours, it relevantly relies on our survival. Along with a lot of other countries. I suggest a lot of you take a good look around the world and observe we are all in the middle of the same fight. Wishing harm on one another is no more profitable to any of us, same as our own party division here in the US, as we need to stand together against the ruling elite attempting to drag us all to the same level of division.

@FrayedBear there's that word again, bias. Party? Fact? Agenda? I would say RT is biased towards agenda. Most of what I see on RT is on information you don't get from fake news from our MSM. Especially on their news hour. I don't know how to label that as biased if it's simply a distribution of a different style of coverage that tends to seemingly include more factual evidence. And as some of these host on their own programs will often refer to the MSM as they debunk their presentations of fact, or lack of. So agenda? Outside of Larry King who tends to delve into the main stream media agenda quite often. Larry King has some good programs, I'll give him that. But the other night as he went into Venezuela he was obviously selling the main stream media narrative. There's a sense of bias that surely isn't Russian. If the host are equal in their rhetoric towards both parties, and rightfully against all governments practicing questionably, what are they biased towards other than agendas? I have my own agenda here. What do you see me being biased towards? I equally dissent against both parties. I find them both to be part of a system of corruptness against the people and country. Along with the MSM. Highly suggest people put their faith in change in a 3rd party, actually the green party. Which could only be my only biased DNA. What I'm getting from you is the biased nature you see in the division of a 2 party system controlling our ability to move forward in progressing civilization. We are in deed holding the entire planet from evolving into a better state of being! But I also put the world elite in that effort, let me state. I have a hard time relating a sense of bias to agenda I guess? Should I?

Hey! I'm only biased towards the truth :-) For the love of peace,people.planet. It's really to bad people are stuck in the illusion projected by society against RT. I say society because the majority of it has allowed main stream media set that false narrative without question! If more people would watch and get use to a few programs on there, I would argue they would get a totally different view of the world to compare to what they get from our media. And then be forced to actually sense a need for truth. Much like I'm attempting here. Putting another face on read news. Especially from what I imagine most get on their homepage. RT offers many different aspects of people one could get comfortable watching. If they just take the time to observe a few or go over their profiles on the site. I particularly believe Rick Sanchez is one most could get comfortable with. Younger crowd with Lee Camps Redacted Tonight. Who adds a sense of comedy to his reports. Chris Hedges who is a book of knowledge in socialism, gentrification, community issues, etc. Having been a world traveler doing journalism for several years he can easily be seen as a complete source of information on any scale. Watching the Hawks is quite good. Mike Papantonio-America's Lawyer. The World According to Jesse Ventura. Who has a reputation of being a quack, but honestly does some good work. RT's news hour delivers a totally different view on world events that would likely make most main stream media faithfuls heads spin. And walk away with that rhetoric claim it's because they are a Russian station. But how do we get people to that need of sense of truth? While we have a growing number of people admitting the news is fake, they keep watching it and buying into it. It goes in line with everyone knowing our representatives have very low ratings yet they keep voting them in. How do you realize that their ratings are hovering at a meek 10% and work mostly for the interest of corporations, then keep voting them in without wanting to abandon their system by trying a 3rd party? It totally bewilders me!

No, our media will not ask the "hard" questions as you say. Or the right questions. I want them to ask the right questions. If they ask the right questions, those representatives will not come back to be asked again. And it is known that if one does go off script, complaints are made to the owner of that new source. Shit starts rolling down hill! Thom Hartmann will tell you this. I've heard him say it many times and it's why he rarely can get a republican representative on his show. Ed Schultz knows it also. I remember a day he had the governor of Louisiana on his show after the disastrous hurricane and the quagmire that went down down there. He spent nearly an hour telling how he was going to get to the bottom of it and hard ball her. Then when she was on air with him he became a god dam pin cushion. Didn't ask a god dam one of the hard ball questions he spent nearly an hour ranting over. Then made the same statement I made above after the interview. NO, she got him off air and told him how the interview was going to go, and he bowed down to the establishment. That's why I'm here. For people brave enough to stick around to learn what those questions should be as they start putting the pieces together from the more factual information I share. Getting the rest of the story and not just the perception management mindfare going on in main stream media. What you get from them is most likely a lie or propaganda to train you into the acceptance of an agenda. Look around the world and tell me what part you play in it! Because you are indeed playing a part in it.

The DC police for handing evidence over to DWS without completion of an investigation. The FBI for not taking control of that evidence and starting their own. Unfortunately though, it's clear the FBI is working for Clinton and the DNC on this one. One has to wonder why the parents aren't interested in finding a sense of resolution though. @OldGoat43 some specialist will argue the planet isn't over populated. But it's the gentrification policies that draw the lines between the haves and have not's in large cities. Food distribution world wide today leads to more waste. It's designed to do so. Often much of it rotting away some where. And trade agreements have devastated farming communities around the world that otherwise would help produce better food sources locally as they once did. Leading only to benefit corporate farming which is an environmental catastrophe. These people harmed by these policies then flock to large cities to try and find work or forced to migrate to other countries, again, usually large cities to attempt escape from deportation. This then sets the reoccurring cycle of gentrification over and over again. “Free Trade” Is Today’s Imperialism by the 1 Percent https://truthout.org/articles/free-trade-is-todays-imperialism-by-the-1-percent/

One thing to know about immigrants to the US from these countries down there is that most of them have or had the money to get out on their own. You'll find them on comments at sites often claiming how bad it is in their country. Or they are there and part of the opposition, and or purposely with intent working for a disinformation agenda to combat any dissent towards people like us supporting their governments. We have the same thing with a governor in Ukraine. He was in Georgia when the shit hit the fan there as the president, I think. The divisional divides and acceptance of hypocritical politics and the politicians that come with it are disheartening. Overwhelmingly obvious that many develop their opinions off reading only catchy eye candy headlines to stories while missing the information, or lack of, by actually reading the entire article. And not clicking on any links within an article that are there to debunk a false news report, or, as a means to lead one to more information to back up what a writer or journalist is attempting to inform us of. These are the very reasons we have people ignorantly continuing to vote in a corrupt electoral system. And are easily drawn and trapped in the illusion of perception management. Seemingly never willing to seek out better news sources which could lead them in a direction away from what they so blissfully believe today in which main stream media provides such amounts of inaccuracies. What is going on in Venezuela and how it's being reported here is a prime example!

William_Mary replies on Jan 21, 2019:
Can you be more specific? There are so many levels of interaction in politics that are today referred to as interference due to unproven accusations. And when you consider that the US has been proven to cross every single one of those levels in which it itself claims some are illegal towards us, we can then be seen as a world aggressor. My point is that Russia can be better viewed as a partner in world affairs over constantly being labeled as an enemy or adversary. Which the oligarchy, intelligence agencies, politicians, and media are staunchly attempting to suppress. The only entity creating a cold war mentality is the US. Russia is not making any moves to provoke hostile moves, but are being forced to protect its people and allies and abilities to make means. All the aggression is coming at them, not from them. And the public in the US has a perception management campaign being waged on them to believe Russia is the enemy they should fear, with no real reason.
