Orange Smeagal is barricading himself in the White House tonight.
Willow_Wisp comments on Nov 2, 2020:
I remember when he invited sports people to the White House and bought like two tons of fast food. I think the players stayed away, but what kind of ultra moron offers junk food to professional athletes that actually take care of their bodies. I think it was just pure racism, in his mind junk food is ethnic food. What a sad stupid orange cringe generator.
I'm not too sure this worked out for him, except the mortality part.

They were different times. To be clear this is the final report card on Trump. Biden is a political compromise and you can tell by a certain restrained complaint vibe you get from different Democrats. We knew Sanders would be a Republican win due to the American lack of education and their disrespect of it. We chose to not put a woman in play. I’m a Warren enthusiast myself. Joe’s had his heart torn out and became more human than the average politician. We, none of us, got what we wanted, the Universe was kind and gave us what we needed. As a progressive I can tell you nothing I want done in government got done since Trump. If I’ll ever get reasonable gun control, universal single payer healthcare, and enforced equal rights, effective environmental regulations, protection for endangered species, etc...then Trump has to be removed.

OK, for a second I thought it was a complaint that Obama was encouraging people to not support Trump if he wins office again. I’m paranoid like that. No one that has a notion of what loyalty to your country means could in good faith support Trump. I like pointing out the U.S.A. Has lost close to a quarter of the total number of people killed by Covid-19 in the world but have only 5% of the worlds population. Justice for a quarter million dead that represents a quarter of the people killed by Covid-19 on Earth while we have less than 5% of the worlds population. Justice for forcing us to keep a criminal in office after he was duly impeached for being a criminal. Justice for tax evasion. Justice for an endless fountain of lies. Willow_Wisp comments on Nov 2, 2020:
Freedom of speech is still growing, those listed are just the ones we (the people) have won explicitly. U.S. Law is based on precedent, not a codex. So every time someone doesn't like you speaking freely they can challenge, but they always run the risk of permanently giving their opponents permission to say the very thing they don't like in the first place. Speak your mind. There's no down side.

I have to have the expectation that I'll find enough nourishment to survive, if I don't I'll be more than disappointed. In hopeless situations, like living in the hopelessness of agrarian Bronze Age Asia, figuring out how to accept your situation is useful, the closest analog would be serving time in prison. Buddhism and it's predecessor Hinduism are big on meditation and acceptance. It fits the psychological needs of the people in relationship to their ruling class. Just as Christianity is obsessed with submission to authority and is the backbone of both the feudal system and it provided the basic morality for western slavery over the last five hundred or so years. I use acceptance meditation when dealing with things I have NO control of, but there are things I do control and it is my duty to do them with an agenda to improve the world. You know, do what you can, accept what you can't do anything about. If all you can do is protest, protest, because protest change things!

Witches are just people that follow the religion reconstructed by Gardner in 1945 of Wicca. Some Pagans like to call themselves Witches, some don't but all Wicca do. You can believe in Witches just as you can believe in Cardinals, or Imams. I believe in Magi too, the wise guys from the Bible, actually the clergy of Zoroastrianism. There are many mystery women in Eastern Europe called "Baba" they live and they are recorded in their mythology and legends. From mythology they fear Baba Yaga, and from history they marvel at the implications of the prophesies of the famous Baba Vanga who predicted the future for Brezhnev president of the USSR. I was married to a Bulgarian woman for 14 years, our daughters were blessed by a Baba. When translated to English many use the word Witch for them especially Baba Yaga. Good luck finding your mermaids and magical TV Witches or the ones qualified to be burned because they no more exist than Jewish leaders that could do magic tricks with water.
Why are you voting for your presidential candidate?
Willow_Wisp comments on Nov 1, 2020:
Voting against a lying tyrant is valid too. It's part of my civic duty to support my nation by opposing criminal political administrations. Unlike similar statements from Conservatives during the Obama administration we have the testimonies of participants, many who have served time for their participation. We had enough evidence to impeach, Trump WAS impeached. The only reason he's still in office is because a famously stubborn lying manipulating clan of Republican Senators that should be imprisoned themselves for their part in letting things get this far allowed it. The Republican party has become the "Dead mans Party" still refusing mask and social distancing they spread disease everywhere they go. A quarter million dead because of intentional misinformation from this administration. Let me ask, were Hitlers political opponents just there just to oppose their current leadership or did they have valid "reasons" to run for office? I don't care for your insinuation. EDIT: There's no response button for the question you asked: ***"Could you elaborate a bit why you think Hitler is a good analog for Trump?"*** So I'll put it here. First I made no analog between Trump and Hitler as people, I made analog to the desperation for a need to change regimes. But there are similarities, like the similarities of using the arson at the Reichstag in 1933 to accuse Jews and Communist for political power, then 2020 BLM protest having Trump supporting militia vandalizing cities, to accuse BLM for Trump to sound legitimate while demanding more political power to fix the chaos that he created. **The BLM guy that shot into a police station and yelled "Black Lives Matters" is in custody, he's a boogaloo boi.** Sounds pretty fascist to me. The missing response button makes me wonder if you wanted me to NOT answer your question. I'm being censored, I can't respond to any post on this thread. I think it was our Admin, he is Conservative like that. Figured it out, someone removed me from the group. I certainly didn't do it.
Why do you interact with other humans?
Willow_Wisp comments on Nov 1, 2020:
Because I can't survive without them. I don't farm, or weave cloth, and while I've built many things I've never tried to build a habitable shelter. I type for a living, writing code to control and monitor pre-cooled air pumped into passenger jets at airports, and did the R&D for the control system for converting airport 480 volt 60 Hertz power to 115 volt 400 Hertz power for the aircraft while their engines are shut down. We save millions of tons of carbon footprint because jet engines on idle guzzle fuel. But despite my considerable technical skills my survivalist skill set is minimal, mostly a relic of my youth when I did spend part of my time living off the land.

As a trans-woman when people stare I feel like shrinking down to mouse size and running TF out. I didn't always look this good and it was a signal that I could have a fight on my hands. It's hard to get past.

Pro-Choice Christians: [dailykos.com]
Willow_Wisp comments on Oct 31, 2020:
Most self identified Christians support choice, the other minority of fundamentalist pro Confederacy Christians say the majority aren't real Christians.
What are some ways that religion is starting to decline?
Willow_Wisp comments on Oct 31, 2020:
I agree with @Varn it's so hypocritical, if you believe humans intrinsically have worth and that everyone should be included in society then Christianity is NOT a good fit for you, they don't want you anyway, they want sheeple.

I saw you were now following my post so I looked at your profile and saw a twenty year old with one post from Alabama and blocked you for a minute until I figured out this was that post and unblocked you. I have had people from Alabama screw with me for my opinions, so I still have a bit of self preservation, which surprises me since half the time I just want to die because I thought fascism in American government was over after G.C. Wallace died. Yes I have received death threats and other things even worse from offended Alabamians. Sorry about that Yellow Hammer, I'll assume you're cool.

I grew up in Alabama, so I guess I'm an Alabohemian by nurture. In my 20's (I still hadn't immigrated to the United States from Alabama) I made it clear I didn't believe their bullshit. I spent the last three years there utterly alone over it. It was worth it, the only thing worse than being alone is having a bunch of nosy opinionated Christians fucking with you all the time.

Walking on water is not easy. Not too many people have the ability. Let’s see, there’s Jesus, and well, that’s about it. Unfortunately for one pastor on the West Coast of Africa, his attempt to become the second man to make this impossible feat a reality cost him his life. Pastor Franck Kabele, 35, told his congregation that he was capable of reenacting the very miracles of Jesus Christ. He decided to make it clear through way of demonstration on Gabon’s beach in the capital city of Libreville. Referencing Matthew 14:22-33, Kabele said that he received a revelation which told him that with enough faith he could achieve what Jesus was able to. According to an eyewitness, Kabele took his congregation out to the beach. He told them that he would cross the Kombo estuary by foot, which is normally a 20 minute boat ride. Sadly by the second step into the water Kabele found himself completely submerged. He never returned.

Many people wonder why Wisconsin is the 3rd highest state with COVID cases.
Willow_Wisp comments on Oct 31, 2020:
Every state the guy goes to has a massive Covid-19 outbreak with a higher case count in the county he rallies in then the state in general. He is the Covid spreader.
A conundrum. How can one be profane if one does not believe in the God myth?

I came across an interesting statistic recently which got me thinking.
Willow_Wisp comments on Oct 30, 2020:
Your numbers are very far off. Here's the real numbers from Pew research. In the United States women are more likely than men to say religion is “very important” in their lives (60% vs. 47% for men) So it's a slightly elevated tendency, not a hard percentage, certainly not more than a 2% difference. https://www.pewforum.org/2016/03/22/women-more-likely-than-men-to-affiliate-with-a-religion/
