It's a good thing, before Boris Johnson came down with COVID the Brits were well on the road to MAGA level stupidity too, they had already cut off their nose to spite their face with Brexit. The big danger was that Trump had the kind of physical constitutional advantages that protect the profoundly stupid and drunks. Then he would use his reckless actions and policy as evidence of how minor the pandemic is. Now that that hurdle is over I am torn between wishing on him what he richly deserves for my personal amusement and hoping he recovers for political reasons, primarily so the white supremacist culture warriors from the Evangelicals, Fox News, the Republican Party and all those MAGA morons won't go around claiming that somehow antifa murdered Trump because it won't take five minutes for them to have an elaborate detailed conspiracy theory as soon as Trump started cooling down to room temperature. I live in a rich nuanced world of political perception, it's too bad the MAGA army of darkness thinks people like me are celebrating with drugs, child cannibalism and sodomy while stupidly rooting for Trumps early demise; like they would if it were Hillary. They tend to be shallow like that.

Another night of overhearing my father bad mouthing me to his friends.
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 25, 2020:
When I was three my father took me from my mother at gunpoint. It would be 23 years before I saw her again. From 3 to 6 I stayed with my paternal grandmother who was also taking care of my bed ridden grandfather who had been born in 1875. When my grandmother knew I had to go to school for first grade she claimed only the parent could register the child in Mississippi where we lived. The phone conversation made it obvious he didn't want to take care of me, but his mother insisted until he and my new Step Mother from Germany came to get me. My grandmothers house had been an old southern shack as depicted in old paintings. Tin roof, no insulation, hard earth yard that was swept with a "yard broom" made of reeds my grandmother would gather in the boggy areas near the house. Now I lived in a used mobile home which felt like a space station to me in 1964. I told a white lie, my father made me take off all my clothes and he beat me with a belt until I had bleeding whelps from head to toe and all down my back, legs, chest and arms. I spent most of my time in my bedroom the next three days with a Bible, with my Dad explaining that he beat me because he loved me. I think a neighbor complained about noise, so he bought 15 acres of swamp land so no one could hear me scream. He raised animals and I had to help butcher them. As I grew older he became more and more disappointed in me, I had all the signs of a weak person, I was empathetic, generous, well read. He had gone to combat four times, two years in Korea, and two years in Vietnam. I hated to have friends come by to visit He'd explain loudly how he'd always wanted to have a son like them, and even gave a .22 cal simi-automatic rifle to one after promising it to me numerous times over the years I'd stayed with him. When I was eight I caught him sexually molesting my half sister who was only three. He had been in the KKK back in the fifties, but he burned his gear the weekend following the bombing of a black church that killed three young black girls. He was a hard core supporter of George C. Wallace who was the D.J. Trump of the 1960's and 70's. There are many terrible stories I can tell you about this horrible man but neither of us has the time, his story ended in 2002 when he died of colon cancer, a death far to good for him. No I'm not who I would have been had he not been in my life, I frequently wonder who that alternative me would have been. I wish I had come out as a trans-woman when he was alive, just so he would have suffered more. People like him deserve to suffer all the poison that's in their F'ed up minds.

Yea, I do cringe when people say, I can't stand either candidate, I'm writing in Snoopy or some equally stupid thing.
Are trump followers completely INSANE?
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 21, 2020:

The US military has been proselytizing since it first came into existence. I got in serious trouble in boot camp because I threw away one of their shitty New Testaments that they gave me. Apparently the fact I did that was demoralizing for the entire class. Bull droppings.
Why do people believe in the devil when it’s obviously a myth?
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 21, 2020:
So they can be conservative Republicans. Being Christian is just a requirement to join their perverted sub culture.
Your "Mind" Isn't Confined to Your Brain. Isn't this an interesting idea?
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 20, 2020:
Your mind gets confused because it can imagine not being confined to your brain, that's enough to start arguments right there. Your mind, is wrong.

Needed a distraction from the awful news. Got creative.
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 20, 2020:
We're not going to let these things happen, regardless of what it takes, we trained the Republicans to think they can lie too and cheat us, now we have to train them in a concept called consequences.

Enjoy it while you can. Every time I've thought it couldn't get worse it did, my entire life. These may be the good old days at the end of the before times. We already know that many will not survive it and we've lost so many already. It's such an odd time for policy makers to abandon science, if ever there was a situation that requires us to science the shit out of it climate change is definitely one, yet they don't believe it even with the entire west afire.
This came up on another post.
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 20, 2020:

Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 20, 2020:
The most incredible thing about their planned national dominion, is the fact that most of us will not allow it to happen and I doubt they comprehend just how seriously this will not happen even if they become even more fascist and militant and organized than they already are, and they are. We can't trust any political party that lies to us, Trump lied about kids being immune to the virus so open the damned schools, that's attempted mass murder. You don't get to invoke a rule that the administration can't appoint a Supreme Court Judge in an election year and get everyone to agree, then appoint one during the election when it's your turn. This illustrates the dishonesty, the self interest, the egotism and the craven hunger for power that has to be removed even if it involves grave sacrifice, they have defined themselves as our enemy, we didn't start this, but we will finish it.
Please raise your hand if you're an atheist AND antitheist.

I'll not disrespect one by condemning the other, they're both used for vile purpose. It's like asking which is worse the eastern diamond back rattlesnake or the western diamond back rattlesnake. The key is the rattle snake part.

Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 19, 2020:
I like less echo, even if it's fallacious or profoundly naive. If they're legitimate then we don't need as many straw men since they seem more preposterous than my average straw man. Funny the more atheist there are around believers the more believers rely on straw men themselves while the effect is just the opposite for atheist.
Thanks for trying to hang on, Justice RBG.
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 18, 2020:
I don't think an angry 65% of the US population will let that happen. When it comes down to it neither will law enforcement or the military. Well, some law enforcement will, but they're no match.

Do you think religious trauma gets taken seriously?
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 18, 2020:
Religion is considered so sacrosanct that it has to be a small minority religion to get the title "cult" attached to it before mental health will tackle the problem. It's like killer T cells letting a cancer grow because it doesn't recognize the cancer as a threat. Yes, I AM comparing religion to a tumor in an unflattering way, because they are so very similar.

What do you all think of Pascal's Wager?
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 18, 2020:
It's a bet I'm in no danger of falling for, it seems if you pretend to believe in God you're as doomed as rejecting the belief in God, so the wager is meaningless if you believe in the divine thought police or if you don't believe in the divine thought police. Conservatives are simple people that have cartoon images of every group of "others" that they're aware of. protesters = rioters, blacks = angry, education = arrogance, climate change = hoax. Oddly they're the easiest group to generalize. All this civil unrest is for reasons, good reasons. This administration is a beacon of hope to clueless incompetent dunderheads throughout the nation. It's time to end this.
Have you been ostracized because of your lack of belief?
Willow_Wisp comments on Sep 17, 2020:
I can hear relatives whispering and complaining behind my back on those odd rare occasions when I've visited. This was typically followed by lot's of Jesus talk and assurances of nasty kind of condescending love that would defile me if I settled for it. I'd say it's a mutual avoidance. I live in the fire zone, they live in the flood zone. Any closer and volcano's might start going off. A sleep over would create a black hole because it would be too unreal for this universe to accept. I can't stand them but I still worry about them, especially with all the flooding in their area.
Have you rejected a photo and realized it's good years later?
