My only advise is to not get a divorce. If that means not getting married then so be it. If however you can avoid divorce and you are married you get financial benefits not afforded singles. I don't believe it's fair to have state sponsored marriage incentives like that, but if your situation lets you then take advantage of it.

It depends, because for decades people held racist opinions and at least publicly presented an illusion that racism was over, after all we had a black president. With Trump in office people holding racist opinions were emboldened leading to Charlottesville and a larger percentage of police brutality than anyone yet realizes. I'd rather everyone speak out their opinions, that way I know where I stand when the crap hits the fan. I understand keeping personal secrets, but keeping political secrets indicates guilt and conspiracy. Especially if you entertain 2nd amendment solutions or just spend more time concerned about gun regulations then you do Trumps inability to utter a word against Russia.

You can be lonely anywhere. Typically people looking for like-minded people are well educated. Anyone can educate themselves. On average consider how that goes over in a relationship, you know you know something, while everyone else has a biased opinion. This can happen in downtown LA just as easy as a farmhouse in Alabama. That's why it's great to spend time in an academic setting but if you're from humble beginnings surrounded by people proud of how ignorant they are you'll have enough empathy to project your attitude about uneducated people onto people that you know for a fact know more than you, it's a built in psychological trap that explains really smart blue collar workers that despise academics. The secret is to understand where people are coming from, and study them, all of them, like lab mice you don't want to frighten off. Soon you'll know the expression to use to put them at easy, you'll relate to their situation. Without this interplay, there's nothing but loneliness in the world and that's not healthy because we only survived as a species because we're social animals. All of this is a big deal.

Atheist here, I am convinced the Yeshua (Jesus is a terrible bastardized version of Yeshua) legend is loosely based on a character called the Egyptian that appears just before the temple was demolished. He raided the temple mound lost a couple of hundred men and disappeared from history. There was a Yeshua cult that was about a century and a half old at the time. The Egyptian’s partner was caught and beheaded in an ambush by the Romans on the Jordan river so the older John the Baptist and the partner were merged, as was the spiritual Yeshua and the Egyptian then the story moved back in time before it would have challenged Rome. The entire purpose was to give the Jews a way out of “sin” without animal sacrifice, which was impossible with the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. About the time the first Gospels were written. All the characters I’ve mentioned are in secular references from the time. Paul was about 40AD his letters that are verified make almost no reference to a physical Yeshua and the one comment about the brother of Yeshua could have been added later as they did that back then. This story has all the same signs of organic growth as the legend of king Arther.

So a creationist demanding to rant at a college and turned away is hardly censorship. Same for most fascist right wing horse manure.
